What a great tool this animation is to help visualize the mind-bogglingly complex process of cell protein production. And to think this goes on thousands of times a second in every single cell. Busy little buggers aren't they?
The space shuttle can dock onto the helical starship and get the minerals once the different docking mechanisms are attached and released.
The minerals are then copied down by the shuttle, using space debris it sucks up through the small vacuums on it's sides. This makes a smaller longer snakelike thing (probably a mineral transporter or something).
A cockpit is then added to the snake as well as thrusters on the ends.
This video provides the necessary information with meticulous detail and accuracy... truly capturing the central dogma in a way that can be visually understood by anyone great job
My teacher show'ed us this video today . I said right away " this is star wars +transformers with an Rave/metal music righ?" just loved it came here to DL the music xD
Seriously a great video. I have to write an essay on the central dogma and this helped A LOT! And the graphics were really helpful. Reminded me of transformers =)
tRNA has a "hairpin" structure, with the anticodon being the three nucleotides at one end (the closed end of the "hairpin"). The other end of the tRNA is bonded to a corresponding amino acid. It carries the amino acids to the ribosome, and through anticodon matching ensures that the amino acids are presented in the right order. rRNA, on the other hand, makes up the ribosome's structure, interacting with the mRNA, tRNA, and ribosomal proteins in order to form the peptide bonds in the new protein.
this is a very nice presentation of the central dogma...cjlouis is right...it does have kind of a "transformers" ring to it...probably so that the viewers get to understand better how these biological processes work...thank you, Miss Cha, (our professor in biochemical engineering) for posting the link to this awesome video...=D
This video makes it much easier to understand and remember the details of trascription / translation. It has already helped me in a previous course, and now it's helping me with a different course. Thanks for uploading.

What an amazing perfect system- only our creator The Perfect, Exalted & Wise could have created something so intricately complex and detailed that our limited, dependant minds can only 'attempt' to understand and 'dream'' of imitating . Truly, perfection doesn't happen by accident :) everything has a purpose. la illaha illa Allah - BIOC2201 ;)
Great video! Love the way you made all the involved transcription factors, RNA polymerase, helicase and so on look like man-made machines, with their names on it like they are made by "RNA-Polymerase - company Smith and sons" or something.
The video is awesome. However, I think it would be better if the words are spoken instead of written just because I missed some of the action of the video while reading the words.
All I can say is WOW, the body is an amazing this. Awsome job on the animation. It was so amazing that I submitted it to my college Kaplan University in the Webliography. Do not worry I used you as a reference. ;)
