It is sad that God's beauty is named after something so evil. There are many places named after the Devil or Hell in the USA. It is a shame too. You don't connect beauty with the devil or hell that is for sure. This is God's beautiful creation. Psalm 24-1 The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;2 for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.

Hell hollow...fascinating! I was beginning to think Connecticut only had parks named after hell/devil. As you know about 'Satans kingdom' and now I'm editing 'The Devils Hopyard'. I really would like to go back in time and meet the people who named these parks after the devil and find out exactly why:D A fascinating subject in which I'm developing some interesting theories. Another awesome sneak peak of a metropark!

I'm not really sure who? it was to set it as a Wilderness Area... I put a few links in the side bar and looked around but couldn't find a definate answer for you. Lake Metroparks has a lot to do with most all the parks here in Lake County, Ohio. They have really put forth the effort to preserve what we have here in this part of Ohio and I feel they do a great service.
