  • Cornell West is a superb man

  • Brutha Martin...

  • Wait, does this mean somebody actually thought we didn't have a shame government?

  • 5:50

    ^

  • This is a Republic! No where in the U.S.Constitution or the Declaration of Independance does it say that this is a democracy!

  • @BeantownJim thank you! i've been arguing this point with a few morons for days now. they just dont get it.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar Never battle wits with an unarmed person!

  • @BeantownJim ~~> Do you even know the meaning of those words??

  • @sparkyj99 without question

  • @BeantownJim ~~> I'm sorry but I don't think you do... Who do you think this republic represents??

  • Dr. Cornel West would have been the First American Patriot President and the First Black President of America in 2012.

  • You guys are screwed man, We have "Stop and Search" in the UK...

Say goodbye to all your civil rights, Once the cops start getting frisky you haven't got shit left.

  • Wow, true and powerful.

  • We don't have rights we only have privileges.

And privileges can be taken away.

  • Herman Cain is being funded by the Koch Brothers. What you see Herman Cain doing and saying is a result of him doing their bidding. And correct me if I'm wrong and I very well may be on this issue. But wasn't the police force originally created to help get a control on slaves in America? Wasn't their jobs to help the slave owners get their slaves in check for a lack of a better term? I may be wrong about that.

  • obama is a wall street puppet and he hasn't done shit for this country except make the economy worse- there, it's not THAT FUCKING HARD TO SAY CORNEL WEST QUIT BEING A LITTLE BITCH DEMOCRAT COCK SUCKER AND JUST COME OUT AND SAY IT. fucking obama voters... sheesh

  • @NWOsuredoessuckass So is there supposed to be some kinda super hero President someday? I don't care who it is. It's all gonna be the same. LIVE WITH IT

  • Fuck the police.

  • @justonemorename

Oh shut up. Ron Paul may be a victim of many things, but RACISM isn't one of them.

  • 'Furtive Movement' is apparently enough 'reasonable cause' for Police FORCEs to stop a citizen in New York City??? What the hell kinda of country are we allowing the USA to become??? You better start speaking up People, or else you are going to find yourselves in a total police/slave/evil State. END THE BANKSTER TYRANNY, The FED, The IRS, and END THE WARS & MURDER!!!

  • @spiritandsoulareone

I get it now. A person may not be stopped without "probable cause" so the Police have invented a fake reason based on the way the person was behaving namely that the person was "moving furtively". Naturally it is almost impossible to disprove in Court. And it will only get to Court when one of the 7% arrested challenge the arrest on the grounds of an illegal search.

So some random black or Latino arrested for drugs after an illegal search needs a great lawyer.

  • @MTbackpacker86 " If there's a hell below, we're all gonna go" - Curtis Mayfield

  • our democracy has been a sham for 300 years... this is all a facade... hopefully something genuine will come out of these protests... but i can see TPTB would try to mold it into something of their liking (ordo ab chao) .. something that would keep them in power and further perpetuate the facade that we are naturally free.

  • Train to from New Jersey to New York- 15 dollars

A sack of some fresh, seasonal weeds- 50 dollars

Getting arrested on the steps of the Supreme Court-

    Fucking priceless.

    Thank you, Dr. West.

  • I like how the reporter bates West with some Herman Caine subject matter. He's looking for more "crack pipe" talk...

  • Cain needs to go!

  • i want this guy as my english professor

  • @IDontWantYourCereal

Would you like some cereal with that?

    XD

  • they arrest dr west because he is armed with dangerous ideas.

  • What he says about making choices on principle though those choices may not benefit you is really important and I wish more people were willing to make those choices. What sacrifices have you made for your fellow man? Be ashamed to die until you've won some victory for humanity, big or small.

  • This man is a true patriot.

  • o gawd... people arent still fooled by democracy, are they?... Geez.. i thought the world had woken up... but no... they still have their imaginary politics and propaganda... what is the point

  • Poor people don't have cable, video games, or air conditioning. Hanging out on the front stoop or corner is the entertainment of poor people. People need social interaction. However, they get targeted for congregating. Basically for being poor.

  • Democracy exists for the 1% everyone else just has the illusion this is still a "democracy." All the decisions are made behind close doors. There is no justice for the ordinary person. If you want justice you have pay for it. I don't want to be on this planet with these murderers, liars and war mongers. I'm sick of it.

  • The U.S. CORPORATION is UCC, IMF-fed reserve, and ADMIRALTY LAW...NOT America, we the people, or Constitutional rule of law...

The IMF has controlled the U.S. CORP since the intentional "great depression"..it's just history morons

  • Two losers!

  • Hmm strange how I predicted all of this in my video.

    watch?v=c-mQKs7YwiA

More is coming and it will be MUCH MUCH worse. Mark my words. This is only the beginning.

  • West puttin the civil in civilized! That's a real American!!

  • Cornell West was in the Matrix movies... he was on Zion's council... pretty cool

  • this man is fucking amazing

  • if someone mugs you it is your own fault. if someone rapes you it is your own fault. if you are murdered by someone braking in to your home it is your own fault. if you are molested as a child it is your own fault. if you are hit by a drunk driver it is your own fault. if you are fired from a job because the business owner wants to move over seas to make more money that's your fault? lets blame the victims

  • @ewigkase1 your examples are based on the inability to protect yourself, putting yourself in a position where you could be a victim, not taking the required means to protect yourself, or just being blind sighted by an event you couldnt see coming. what happened was a product of crap that over many years was in plain sight. it was never fought because people were ignorant, lazy, and too busy playing with their ipods. the current economy and government was predicted by many, but no one listened.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar yes and no. it was the politicians at most that ignored and did not give enough warning. yes people like ron paul and a small hand full did warn off the bobble. but when you still have society to believe the bought and owned media and politicians. we were not amply warned because are politicians were purposely kept ignorant through there erogenous of listening to the wrong people. by the most part we were miss led. banks were more willing to fallow through knowing there pay off

  • @ewigkase1 if the media was that corrupt, and the politicians were kept ignorant, how did ron paul and people like peter schiff know about it? ron paul spoke many times about this over the years to the media and congress. ignorance is no excuse. the people just didnt listen because they didnt care, or it would have been a reality they didnt want to face. peoples lack of action and concern is what is to blame. the signs were there, but no one payed attention.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar yea and every time ron paul wins a straw poll all of a sudden the straw poll does not matter. but how do you protect your job how tell me? even if you know how do you protect the job. only options is to save and safe investments my parents did this but if my father was pink slipped. because the company did not do its work how is it his fault you are not explaining

  • @ewigkase1 you can only partially protect a job if you own the company. even then, it is only as profitable as the total state of the economy. there is no such thing as job security. its a myth. also safe investments are a myth. in this life you have to take responsibility for your well being and life. its no one elses fault if you fail, its yours. if you play by the rules and you loose, try harder, if you still fail, then change the rules or cheat.

  • evan if everyone in the public was aware it would not have change much of anything it would have still happened. because there is a great disconnect in Washington and the people. there was very little a person can do to protect there job at times like this. And to say that it is everyone's fault how is jobless is just as ignorant as those who heard the warning and did nothing. my family heard the warning and was able to change market shares but if my father was pink slipped how do you stop it

  • @ewigkase1 the disconnect is the peoples fault. they allowed a small portion of people get away with constitutionally unjust actions and legislation without speaking up or taking the proper physical action. the jobs were lost because of government regulations on business, government meddeling in housing and loans, and the federal reserve making interest rates too low. the free market takes care of itself, when government gets involved it wastes tax dollars, and it makes business function worse.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar yes in a perfect world were the politicians actually listened to the people. look at the occupy protests. they are still ignored by those up top and even being piggy backed by Obama in order to get elected. the only people Obama and the others listen to is the money. if they can get away with it a still be elected they will. yes it is are fault that people continue to vote for idiots like Cain, perry, Romney or Obama. but there are people out there trying to change that

  • @ewigkase1 its not a perfect world where they would do it, its a world where the people take to their guns and put politicians and their pimps on trial for treason. there are more of us then there are of them, we could change things in 24 hours, but what lengths are you willing to go? people need to learn that asking people in power to nicely change things doesnt work, physical violence is the only thing they understand. this is why the founders gave us the 2nd ammendment.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar right okay now i know what talking to a wall is like. yes we "have" the second amendment. but if you think one violent act would change anything but be created to support there way. the reason for your violent action would only be ignored. look how they turned the 911 into the patriot act. they dont give a rats ass about the constitution. all they care about is there empire.

  • @ewigkase1 you're the reason why i think abortions should be legal, and in some cases mandatory. you dont understand a thing im telling you because you drank too much kool aid. you are part of the problem, not the solution. its best you crawl back under your rock.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar i am not taking any fucking kool aid. i have never taken social security or unemployment etc. so what kool aid are talking about? i never said anything about taking financial aid from government. I think shrinking government would benefit all making life more affordable. but with people like you who does not pay attention to just words that anger you you miss my point entirely.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar stop trolling and get a job. i see your comments all over this video arguing with other people. like little angry troll sad very very sad

  • @ewigkase1 it sounds to me from all of your whining, that your dad needs the job not me. i wont respond to anymore of your retarded ill informed comments. youve been brainwashed by the left and there is little hope for you. you are burden to our society and decrease the nations IQ average.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar my dad has a job another example of you not listening. im talking about small government and you and not taking social security or any government money and im brain washed by the left? what a dumbass no doubt in my mind that you are just an angry troll who hates his life and has to make others suffer. you are the scum of the earth sure

  • @ewigkase1

    You're a vile cunt.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar

People with low IQs tend to be right wing. Just look at which states are red and the averages for univeristy degrees etc.

Bigoted vermin tend to be right wing.

  • @geffel IQ and college degrees have nothing to do with each other. your comment screams "low IQ" and unjustified hatred. before you label / stereotype an entire group of people, think about the word "bigot" & think about how they stereotype certain groups, then look at your comment again. you friend, define a bigot. you are against anyone who does not share you point of view, political preference, and religious beliefs. Martin Luther King jr. was a republican. according to you, he was vermin.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar

IQs and college degrees are statistically related. There are other correlations such as family wealth and even ethnic origin. But I don't think that was the point of the comment.

What the person was saying, it seems to me, is that people with lower intelligence and / or lower education are more typically found in the Republic\an Party. Or more simply Democrats are smarter than Republicans.

You should disagree with this comment on its merits. Republican win more often.

  • @patrickcorliss well, i felt the need to defend the republicans intelligence was pointless because the premise of his attack / reasoning was profoundly invalid & demonstrated remedial logic. i wasnt going to waste too much time on such a thing. my 2 cents worth on IQ; I feel IQ is based more on genetics than anything. emotional intelligence is something different, as along with booksmarts. I usually pay no heed to statistics because they are usually biased, incomplete, & prove very little.

  • @geffel

Republicans may be dumb but they are winning. You need to address that reality. Better still, if Democrats are smarter can you tell me how they should respond to the fact that Republicans are winning?

They shouldn't do it by giving away $400 billion of Medicare.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar plus things like when Obama canceled the 2015 missions to the moon 15,000 people lost there job. there was no warning other then that Obama is a douche. to fully lay blame on the individual being jobless is ignorant. yes if do something stupid at work yes it is your fault. but if you are the best employe you can be then how is it your fault that the company fails or moves over seas. all you can do is prepare to be jobless by saving and good investments.

  • @ewigkase1 governments dont create jobs. every job they create, someone has to pay for by taxes. obama is a turd, no doubt. but jobs are not rights. you are not entitled to a job. a job is a contract / agreement between the owner and the employee to pay for services rendered. no one said you have to work anywhere by force. if you dont have money, its your fault. get hired elsewhere, start your own company, etc. the companies move overseas because of government regulation.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar you are just being stupid and not listening at all. if they dont create jobs the what did those 15,000 lose? that part of the argument does not work. yes it may not be a right but how is it are fault it is just stupid ignorant thinking. fault has to be fallowed by a choice. but if you are working and get pink slipped the next day with out warning it is the fault of the employer of running a crap business not the individual.

  • @ewigkase1 its the individuals fault for being dependent on someone else. you apparently are very young and dont understand the economy, government, and business. if you ran a business you would understand your perspective is very narrow and inaccurate. calling me stupid or ignorant doesnt prove your point, it shows you have no valid argument so you resort to name calling.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar this is another example of republicans demonizing the people and giving a pass to the corporations. taking the blame away from the corporation and putting it on the people. this is why I hate republicans they are not are not for the people but for corporations and rich people. hell Cain wants to raise are taxes but cut them for the rich. it is plane stupid. the republicans wont except tax cuts unless the rich get it. this is crony capitalism its best at is best

  • @ewigkase1 you hte republicans? martin luther king jr was a republican, so was his daughter, so was abe lincoln, etc. corporations in general are not evil, they create jobs and stimulate the economy. its called "dont bite the hand that feeds you". republicans are for the people, but they dont believe you should steal from some to give to others. they believe that the individuals rights trump the groups. im finished with you. you need to grow up and quit drinking the kool aid.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar being republican back then was a bit different then the 60's. it is Reagan who create this neo conservatives. they always side with business and to hell with the people. we are saying practicly the same thing

  • @WillsEasyGuitar you are not listening at all

  • @WillsEasyGuitar so do the banks deserve the bail out no. but yet they seem to always get what they want republicans or democrats the get there money to be bailed out. bush signed out the first bail out money in 07. lets not forget bush's trillion dollar stimulus.right republicans dont steal money from others were the hell have you been the passed 8 years

  • @WillsEasyGuitar democrat's and republicans are very the same. because they have greed in there hearts not freedom.

  • Our democracy is a sham.

  • since the united states is a REPUBLIC and NOT a democracy, i guess democracy is always a sham. soon as people learn this, the sooner we can get back on track.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar Indeed, tyranny by the minority is always a better deal.

  • @mrbhave a republic doesnt deal with a minority, it deals with the indivduals freedoms and liberties. a democracy is horrible. the minority gets shafted constantly. anyone who thinks otherwise needs to be educated.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar Do you really believe the US is a republic that follows the rule of law when presidents and other officials can flout the law at their whim? Do you think the middle class (aka, the "majority" in this country) is NOT getting shafted if we're constantly getting stuck with the bills that the minority of aristocrats in this country have been running up, especially over the last 40 years? Anyone who believes we have a republic in this country needs to be educated.

  • @mrbhave we do live in a republic. its always been a republic. we may use a semi-democratic voting system, but its still a republic. things have gotten bad because the people quit thinking about how things affect the individual, but rather groups of people. when the group mentality pops up, its always bad. people in the US are usually ignorant and lazy. they vote for people without knowing anything about them. they trust too easily, and willfully hand over their freedoms and rights.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar I can't believe I have to spell this stuff out to people. If your car gets a flat tire, do you say "wheels suck"? No, because the *idea* of the wheel is a good one. You just need to inflate your tire.

Also, a nation needs a balance between individual rights and public good. Methodological individualism is stupid. Fallacy of composition.

Being anti-democracy is self-defeating, unless you're in the elite ruling class. But it's a common element of right-wing propaganda. Enjoy that.

  • @jstncbllr some wheels do suck, and some need to improvement in design, and some are fine but the way people drive them causes the deflation. im not even sure why you are talking about tires anyway. a democracy is 51% of the population. its mob rule. its horrible, poorly thought out, and only a selfish coward would want "what the majority" wants. when you realize there are more dumb people in the world than intelligent, how could a democracy be a good idea? the dumb rule and mess up everything.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar A "Republic" is "a state in which supreme power is held by the people..." But it's just a word if everyone doesn't know that. And the owners of this world know this. You can parrot words like "republic" and "freedom" all day, but are we truly free in the US? One cannot go outside and sing loudly without being arrested for disturbing the peace or some other trumped-up charge. Nay, "the people" writ large are not living in a free republic. More like a corporatocracy.

  • @mrbhave we are losing our freedoms because cowards wont stand up for whats right. they would rather "go with the popular opinion" because they are weak and stupid. if our government is corrupt, and you are getting the shaft, its your fault for not doing anything about it. in the US people are in charge, but when you freely hand over that power, dont fight injustice, dont protect the constitution, its your own fault if things go south. like i said before, we are in a republic not a democracy.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar I see. A simple majority of the nine, unelected, "honorable" lawyers on the SCOTUS gets to decide the fate of the other 312 million Americans. Doesn't sound like representative govt. to me. Speaking of representation, do you honestly believe that our elected stewards represent us when they're paid millions in bribes, I mean campaign donations, by corporations? Oh right, corporations are people, too, as declared by the SCOTUS. Constitution, huh? Rule of law, what?

  • @mrbhave there is no denying there are whores on both sides that screw everything up. corporations in general are not evil, they create jobs and help stimulate the economy, but some corporations are run by scum that add to the nations damage. what is currently going on is a product of lazy and ignorant citizens, a corrupt government and media, and laws created for special interest. beyond all that, the US is a republic not a democracy, but there is no debating its in severe trouble.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar Great, another anti-democracy loon. The US is both a republic and a democracy.

If "democracy is horrible", perhaps you'd like to give up your rights to:

    1. speak freely

    2. gather w/ other citizens in public

    3. petition your gov't to redress grievances

    4. be informed by a free and independent press

    5. be governed by laws passed by representatives of the people

    6. vote for those representatives in free and fair elections

I won't mind if you surrender #6 - one less uniformed voter.

  • @jstncbllr simpleton

  • @pretorious700 Ok, I can play that. Douche bag.

  • @jstncbllr

I love your satire, so funny. The free press is a disgrace, nobody complies with the Constitution, people who gather get arrested and beaten. Even your electoral system is arbitrary when California with its huge population only gets two Seanators. Thank you for making me laugh so much.

  • @patrickcorliss Yes, our democratic institutions have been weakened. My point was not that we live in a rosy world, silly guy.

Do you want to see those rights I listed weakened or strengthened?

You don't have to live in a country that has democracy to believe in and fight for democratic ideals. Arab spring? OWS? The freaking US Revolution?

Do you look at the current state of affairs and say "wow, democracy sucks!"? Maybe you'd like to get rid of congress and just have a monarch then?

  • @jstncbllr

I think you're a progressive idealist like me. But you have to look at reality. The Democrat 6 have just agreed to give away $400 billion of Medicare. That's the STARTING point. The Corporates have all of the levers of power now. The President, Congress, Supreme Court, Media, Military and Banks.

  • @patrickcorliss "look at reality...Corporates have...power"

I do get that reality. But, values remain important.

We need to rebalance towards the side of the 99%. Neutralize the oligarchy. Revitalize democratic institutions that have been undermined. Demand better politicians and better policies.

When I see the broken political and economic systems, my conclusion is we the people need to force reform. I do not believe that "all government is bad" or "democracy sucks" as many commenters do.

  • @jstncbllr

You said "We need to rebalance . . . neutralize the oligarchy".

I think most people agree with you. The problem is how to achieve that. Of course, we can "force reform" but it's pretty hard when there are trillions of debts, high unemploment, bought Congress and huge corporations like GE and the Bank of America paying no tax.

Ok, democracy doesn't suck. Obama was elected on a platform of change. But he lied to us. How do you suggest we punish him? By voting him out in 2012?

  • @jstncbllr #1 you cannot speak freely anymore #2 you cant gather with other citizens in public without having pressure being placed on you #3 petitions get ignored unless there is money to back it up, #4 the press is corrupt and pushes its own agendas #5 the only law that matters is original consitutional law. the rest usually try to negate freedom, or liberty by whore representatives, #6 elections are bought, rigged, and are an illusion of control. we live in a confused and corrupt republic.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar You've listed some ways that our democratic institutions are under attack. Yes it's true the US has increasingly become oligarchic/plutocratic.

But are you also saying that you want to give up your democratic rights? You don't want freedom to speak? You don't want fair elections? Why won't you *defend* these rights?

When you say "democracy sucks" you aren't helping. What other means do you suggest we use to hold government accountable? You prefer an oligarchy?

  • @jstncbllr democracy does suck. it doesnt work. but i never said anything about giving up freedoms. in fact democracies constantly remove freedoms from the minority. the point of this whole thing was to point out we are a republic, always have been. if its been twisted into something else, the people only have themselves to blame for not being proactive.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar @BeantownJim Jesus, you're ignorant.

Democracy and republicanism are not conflicting ideas. Direct democracy is not the only form of democracy.

Do you twits support the right to: free speech/assembly, free press, due process, equality before the law... one person one vote? You do know about VOTING right?

If yes, then you support democracy.

The US is a constitutional republic and a liberal representative democracy (not Athenian/"mob rule").

    wikipedia. org/wiki/Liberal_democracies

  • @jstncbllr a republic and a democracy are different, if they werent then in the dictonary under "republic" it would say, "see democracy". we have a semi democratic voting system, and a semi democratic congress, but none the less we live in a republic. you may say its a consitutional republic, and thats fine because its correct, but the idea that "we the people" are a democracy is whats ignorant.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar

    de·moc·ra·cy/diˈmäkrəsē/

A system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.

A state governed in such a way.

    -

    re·pub·lic/riˈpəblik/

A state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch

A community or group with a certain equality between its members

  • @WillsEasyGuitar I didn't say they were the *same*. I said they were not incompatible. Your idea of "democracy" is some limited caricature of what the word actually means. It's not limited to "mob rule" or ancient Greek style direct voting.

Yes we have constitutional protections against abuse of minorities. But are you really claiming that the US system is not a representative democracy? That our gov't is not meant to be of, for, and by the people? You don't like to vote?

  • @jstncbllr it is a republic. it even states this in the pledge of allegiance. our country is ruled by law, and that law is to give everyone equal rights and liberty. it is the exact opposite of a democratic society which is ruled solely by 51% or more. we use a semi democratic voting methods, but even the topic of the vote has to be legal under the constitution. you can try to distort the republic definition by calling it a "representative democracy" but its still a republic.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar Yep, it's a republic. And a democracy. The word "democracy" today has a broad meaning. Yes we have restrictions to ensure that all citizens have certain rights protected. But within those checks/balances, our laws are meant to be passed by *majority rule*. Typically via elected reps, though state/local gov'ts often use direct ballot measures too.

I suspect your anti-democracy ranting is based in utopian methodological individualism.

    Read: bit. ly/rQrL0i

  • @jstncbllr i dont really think utopia could exist even if we were all like Mr. Spock. democracy isnt the worst form of government, but is leaves out the minority and is not fair to the total population. its a flawed method of rule. i personally believe we all have inherent freedoms at birth that others will always try to take away. society is like a forest, but it shouldnt be seen as a whole, rather as individual trees. our laws should benefit all the people all the time, not just the majority.

  • @WillsEasyGuitar I agree w/ most of your comment. All methods of rule are flawed in some way, because conflict always exists and it's impossible to satisfy everyone. Majority rule is the fairest (least bad) way to resolve those conflicts. But yes, absolutely, certain rights are inviolate and must be ensured for everyone. So we temper majority rule w/ constitutional protections, but it's still a crucial part of our gov't.

W.r.t. trees vs forest, check out the "fallacy of composition".

  • @jstncbllr fallacy of composition doesnt really pertain to this because individulas are different and no two are indentical. it's not like we are refering to abstract absolute values. society is made up of the people, but what i'm saying is society should be seen for not the sum of its parts, but the parts itself. its much like children in a family. not all of them have the same emotional requirements. treating them all the same is, in a way a fallacy of composition.

  • @jstncbllr "free speech/assembly, free press, due process, equality before the law" has nothing to do with a pro-democracy at all, but rather an anti-democracy that supports individual freedoms and liberties that "the mob" or "government" is not to take away. it protects us from mob rule and democratic votes that would otherwise remove these from specific people. republics do use portions of democratic methods, but make no mistake they are conficting ideas.

  • Great interview!

  • Bloomberg is a scumbag pig on his third term that need to be PROSECUTED ! !

  • Cornell West knows it's a Jew World Order. Jews really are the 1%, and will lock you up if you say it, in any way they can.

Jews censor everything that goes into your mind. Now you know.

  • The JEWS are running things! You and I are beasts to them!

  • @MTbackpacker86 Yeah, but you didn't win, Dixie got her ass handed to her, LMAO!!!!!!

  • Democracy is always a sham. The territorial monopolies on the legitimate use of violence that the police have through the state will always lead to arbitrary use of power.

  • Im a Black male from NYC and I get stoped while driving or walking out at night all the time. The problem is these stop and frisk are just a smoke screen to not fixing the REAL problem. We should ask all property owners to place cameras in frount of their porperty. If they dont, we wont investigate robberies on their properties or stores. The most basic level of self protection is protecting your property with cameras. Crimes would drop 80%. The city rather catch red light runners to ticket

  • @JUDALATION i see your point there. that should be a real program to have. yet you know as well as i do due to the patriot act people are less willing. although i think it's in how it would be implemented. we need real politicians to have a realistic talk about crime and how and why it truly occurs. i do agree with you though as black man who lives in east NY Brooklyn.

  • VERY POWERFUL INTERVIEW BOY THAT WAS GOOD "

  • @MTbackpacker86 - lol, it's the truth. Rome was a Republic. What makes us different is that we're a Constitutional Republic ... where the constitution is supposed to rule supreme. Of course it's meaningless now days since the constitution is being ripped to shreds.

  • @MTbackpacker86 No stupid Democracy is NOT a scam... There ARE civil rights that protect the people from Mob rule.

  • @MTbackpacker86 1235 planets discovered 54 in goldilock zones. 5 the same size as earth. thats only in 1/400th of the sky. the fastest man made ship would take 4 billion years to cross the milkyway, 100000 at light speed. 400,000 planets await our discovery in our own naborhood...

do you really think god made it all for you?

it would explain way faith has destroyed what economy we had. its misplaced or wrong almost all the time.

  • @compendiumgravemind I subbed you because of your smart/sexy coolness.

  • @MartianStories thank you, but smart does not exsist i mearly accept what i see before me. and choose to apply it in anyway i can, despite the hinder of our era. no person is smarter then another my brother. know that all that is around us is permitted and true only to the extent we understand it. or are permitted to understand it. fractions equal a greater number. each fraction of false and truth and part of an over lining understanding. one way or another we are compelled to try to comprehend.

  • @compendiumgravemind I don't know. That sounded pretty smart to me. I think you should consider writing as a serious hobby.

  • @MartianStories i am i have 1 book ive been working for 5 years, not even half way complete. a teacher also i have been called. but i denounce it all in order to understand greater then my mind will allow. i get part way though my writting then something new comes to light and i have start over again. but soon.

  • @compendiumgravemind i know the feeling. That's the way it goes in my own writing. But the fact that something changes in your story doesn't mean you have to start all over again. Stories change as you write them. That's part of the excitement of writing. It will be different from what you first intended. Instead of scraping everything you've already written to conform to changes, just keep it all.

A wise writer once said: "Writers write in order to find out what they think."

  • @MartianStories yes but a story of truth often changes for even truth is not absolute.

  • @MTbackpacker86 - Rome was a Republic (before it was ruled by emperors).

  • “Cain: ‘if you don’t have a job, blame yourself’”

“This is a world not just driven by interest, there’s something called principles, something called integrity, something called character”

Herman Cain has little of these three.

  • Our government... teaches the whole people by its example. If the government becomes the lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. ~Louis Dembitz Brandeis

  • “Cain: ‘if you don’t have a job, blame yourself’”

Yeah, you are to blame for allowing the federal government to ship millions of jobs to China and the far east.

  • @paulrprichard

    Cain is the Fed.

  • “Cain: ‘if you don’t have a job, blame yourself’”

I think I read somewhere that employers are not accepting applications for job vacancies from the unemployed.

  • @paulrprichard People are exhausting their full 99 weeks of unemployment. So yeah, it's frowned upon. Also, people with extensive experience with degrees are turned down daily. Not good.

  • Furtive movements only apply in felony stops...ie...where a felony has been committed and you have reason to believe the felon is the one being stopped.

  • Corporatism = Fascist rule. Socialism = Communist rule. Both want to control our lives. Both are incompatible with a Constitutional REPUBLIC, which is what we are supposed to be. Don't ask for freedom if you ask for the aforementioned. It doesn't work. Only thing democratic about us is our vote and social programs. If you look, they aren't working. They need to be fixed, not overhauled by a mob.

  • This is all about control, and it about controlling opposition to the controllers. Of course it's unconstitutional. It may look like racism, but I assure you that they arrest frisk stun beat jail tons of white people too. Please don't buy into the racist thing, your not looking at the whole picture. The focus needs to be clear about all people, all of our rights to freedom are being taken from us and we need to show them"This will not stand!"

  • Conservatives, like Herman Cain, need to understand that no success, whether individual or societal, exists in a vacuum. Herman Cain's success is predicated on the equality won for him during the Civil Rights movement, and the fact that a college education was more affordable for his working class parents, than it is for working class parents today. The idea of a self-made man is as much a myth as unicorns.

  • How can he say anything when he knows Barack isn't natural born?

  • 4TH Amendment

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized

Furtive Motion or someone an officer deems to be moving suspiciously or inconspicuously is not probable cause. The Constitution is the Law of theLand

  • @Ohrela Before any search can be conducted they need to identify specific items that they intend to find. If people educated themselves about what their rights actually mean they could protect themselves. I will reiterate also that the Government is established to protect the rights of people, not to protect the people from manufactured physical threats. Life is not more important than freedom, because it is freedom that makes life worth living. Ohrela(DOT)com

  • @MTbackpacker86 Democracy and Republic debate is fucking bullshit. It's a fight over a name. The most superficial and useless fight ever. We technically have a democratic republic, but people so ideologically twisted such as yourself don't want to call it that because it has the word "democrat" in it. Go fuck yourself.

  • @MTbackpacker86 You seem confused, de·moc·ra·cy [dih-mok-ruh-see]

    noun, plural -cies.

    1.

government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.

It might be a republic but the fact that you get to vote makes it a democracy, the alternative would be a republican dictatorship like China.

Its not working either way. I aspire to panocracy myself.

  • West is the best... couldn't help myself. You have to take into account the context.

  • What about the "men of God" that were also arrested... Dr. West is on our side black/white/yellow/green doesn't matter, he is standing up for us all, even the people he is being arrested by!!! We are in a world of stupidity and need more voices of reason and compassion.

  • I have no patience to hear the ignorance of Dr West, until he starts supporting Dr. Paul.

Ron Paul would put a stop to all this police state garbage.

  • MITT ROMNEY 2012! WE NEED HIM FOR AMERICA! RICK PERRY FOR VP! BOTH GREAT MEN WHO CAN RESTORE AMERICA! THEY SUPPORT THE WARS, THE BAILOUTS & WALL STREET! THAT'S WHAT WE NEED!

RON PAUL IS A LOON WHO WANT's SOUND MONEY, NO WARS, TO FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION & BRING TROOPS HOME & END THE FEDERAL RESERVE & BALANCE THE BUDGET! THATS NOT WHAT WE NEED!!!

    ROMNEY/PERRY 2012!

  • Comment removed

  • @crinoid1919 I'm Trolling. Ron Paul 2012!

  • @crinoid1919 Lol, A person who want's sound money, no wars to follow the constitution, bring troops home, end the federal reserve, HAS TO BE A LOON xD

  • w8, our democracy isn't a sham?

  • MT is right.. was never ment to be, or has never been a democracy. This is, or was, a consitutional republic.

  • @crinoid1919 representative democracy.

  • @crinoid1919 Interestingly Thomas Pain warned Washington, in his letters to Washington. Where he identified the then proposed structure, since implemented was open to abuse of power & corruption. Both Washington & John Adams wanted a hereditary system not dissimilar from the English monarchy, & more or less ensured it would evolve to be something along those lines due to the structure of the system itself.

  • @crinoid1919 Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.” -John Adams, 1814

  • It is not about the left or right he's about the people.. good luck you to Dr. Its classwarfare brought on by the banksters...

  • @baza1701 you're right, this movement is a non-partisan movement that only spews left leaning ideas.

  • occupy whatever will never gain traction in reality (re: the law and changing things) until there is revolution - and there is no such thing as revolution w/o blood and violence and law breaking (stupid laws which serve the rich and not the people)
