I had never known who Toni Childs was until 3 years ago, but I must say her music is beautiful. The song "Zimbabwe" makes me think of all the kids starving and of the story that needs to be told about those dying in Africa. Who knows why. I think the song is great.

never saw her in concert, just heard the song stayed with me forever, that voice; so unique and unforgettable. toni has great reputation in europe also. my introduction was the very powerful "Don't walk away". what an impact! sadly no video. but again faced with a choice; this one;. although i had no idea about her latter work. simply no words left to describe "have to go now"

this is one of My favs from her. I bought the CD Union on a hunch and when My friend from New Zealand came over she was shocked that I had it. I ended up giving it to her but replaced it, Ive listened to that CD over 100 times and can't say I get sick of it ..

...i'm sure she'll be glad to know it; & though I wouldn't want to be quoted on this (since i don't have the original 'Union' anymore), I believe that she teamed up with the same producer on this new CD as she did on her first (i.e. Union!) = lots of strong tracks (including - of course! - her latest success, 'because you're beautiful' (& by the way, i was one of those in the audience attending that same show 'by an other Eve'(!) where she & Toni met, & the inspiration for that song was born..!)

A wonderful song but an incredible shame what's going on down there in the shadow of all the "major" places of crisises. The land is screaming for help of the world -but nobody hears the screams. Take that old Bastard off power -now!
