@rockkettt I think it was more to do with the fact that no one quite knew how to play with each other. Cricket is not as simple as just putting 11 greats together. To a much lesser extent you can see that every time an IPL team plays a domestic team for other countries.

@rockkettt look at that batting line up.. Lara at 5, Flintoff at 6 and Dravid at 7. not to mention Afridi at 10. you put too many players with big reps and egos together, this is what will happen. Yeah Australia were good but in all fairness, they benefited from the fact that almost every other team was in decline, India started playing well after 07, Pakistan from 05 to 06, SL 08, SA were under a young captain for the most part 2000's and England 09. Australia were the only good team till 2007.
