Well, im nto sure about veges, but the difference is that veges are pulled out of the ground, where animals have been urintating and crapping.
However, fruit is the product of exreme filtering. You NEVER see brown fruit, do you ? But you DO see brown stuff all over veges, before you wash them. That is poo and dead insects.
The tree itself, completely cleans out all that stuff, leaving only the very best, cleanest food.
