Animals emit sound and then measure the time that it takes for the vibration to bounce off objects in their environment and return to them. So it obviously won't help you "see" a piano. @kojirodudeman The ‘Super Group’ of rocks in the Grand Canyon are below the level layers at the east end. These layers were laid down level, block faulted into mountains [they are tilted], worn flat, and then the Teapeats Sandstone was laid down over the basement layers. Then another 5000 feet of sediments was laid down, some wind blown desert sands, some corals. Then the whole area got raised to 8000 feet above sea level. Finally water cut the canyon. How long do you think this took?

@gregrutz A large mass of water flows over ancient north america where an already originally placed lake was over flowed and reformed due to the massive pressures of the water causing the run off to travel down stream. Eventually the water drains and there is a large scar filled with mud and dead life forms. Over years the mud dries and as it dries it arranges itself through density and partially random sequences. Drying layer after layer of sediment patterns with making uniformly placed strata.

There are polystrate trees that go through multiple layers of strata indicating that they were buried rapidly. They are found all over the world, giving evidence that the flood was worldwide.

Hovind's doctorate was in "Christian Education" from the Patriot Bible University which is not accredited by any recognized accreditation agency. He has no scientific qualifications. His dissertation has no title, no TOC, outlines 16 chapters but contains only 4, has no bibliography, and is full of errors such as "geological epic" for "geological epoch", and "centrifical force" for "centrifugal force". It contains no original research, the basis on which a PhD is supposed to be awarded.

People who actually think that he ment that we can see sounds, I have two things. 1. Its a fact that we cannot see or hear, taste, or smell everything in the world. 2. What if it IS possible that we can see, hear, taste and smell other parts of the sense? Maybe we should think about this for a minute. This is great philosophy, and some of the best philosophical works have been scientifically unprovable. But I think that just makes it more exciting to think about. Dont you?

Animals emit sound and then measure the time that it takes for the vibration to bounce off objects in their environment and return to them. So it obviously won't help you "see" a piano. More importantly, echolocation has absolutely nothing to do with the light spectrum. My point was that Hovind thinks sound is part of the light spectrum. He shouldn't be teaching science to anyone.

It is a law of gravity that if you drop an object here, it will fall to the ground, but it is Gravitational Theory that explains how and why this occurs. Gravity is a law & Fact, but we understand and explain it through a theory. It is both.
In the same way the theory of evolution explains the facts: Why there are transitional fossils to name one.

Scientists these days test the evidence based on already flawed "facts". Because the way science was conducted in the past was extremely flawed compared to today's methods yet they based their incomplete conclusions on construed base laws of modern day science. That's not science that's just building on an already infected base.

Kent Hovind does know how evolution works, he refutes explanations and brings to light facts that mainstream scientists would never reveal at fear of being ridiculed.

We know this from the fossils in it. There are 44 Distinct layers of DIFFERENT KINDS OF ROCK exposed in the Grand Canyon.
Some are slow growing corals like in the Redwall limestone.
Floods don’t do that.
Not all sedimentary rock is from water! Like ash layers.
There was no global flood, and you forgot to tell the Chinese to all die in a flood.
