Check out Fishcatcherrodholder on youtube. Rod holders with strike indicators. The strike indicators, Works like a bobber. When the fish pulls the strike indicator down set the hook and reel' em in.

Cut the bluegills up for channles & cut in to small pices in to 1inc chunks put on a 2ot hook or smaller and use a slip rig

if u buy gulp minows and tear off the tails and use it it does good for bluegill i caut 17 huge bluegill over 8 inches and a bass. with a bobber there is no action even needed

You are correct that's some mighty fine bait there for catfish just always check your local laws first folks.Here in S.C. It's legal as long as you catch them on hook and line and they count as part of your creel.
