  • can you do this with an outboard?

  • Hi there, I live in Sweden and I normally surf behind the boat with a rope line with wakeboard or surfboard and I would know the weight of the boat and how yours do such big waves like yours doing the boat we use is a goldfish 21 and please respond this commentary to my mail and thanks if yours respond me :)

  • Got one on my profile, 360 on Wakesurf

  • What kinda board to you use?! I use a surf board..

  • @ coco those boats are inboards so the propellor is direct under the boat not out the back

  • My friend got a wake surf board but he has a direct drive with no fat sack.....fail

  • i live in santa cruz but i skimboard

  • Hey just cuz I said u can get one for that dosnt mean I would I'm just saying for people wanting to wakeboard and on budget I wouldn't but some one could

  • @cuntface0987 judging by your little picture, boat wakes are bigger then the waves you surf there tough guy.

  • you had poerfect wake

  • 8 people couldn't get up on the wakesurf...

  • @shaunster93 First. alot of ski boats today are jet boats so there is no prop. also if anything the boat is moving forward and you would fall backwards. if you were to fall forward. the boat would be moving faster than you and its almost impossible to get chopped up unless you are literally touching the engine

  • @coko1243 clearly you know nothing about ski/wakeboard boats

  • Um 60k lol I can get a boat for 30 k lol

  • @atbyeathatsme a shit one haha. You get what you pay for you rookie

  • " everyone can get a honest simulation" an" everyone can do it" yeah cause every one have 60 thousand dollars to do this..

  • wowo so cool!

  • i dont know why everyone is talking shit about it, its just another way to have fun on the water, especially if there isnt an ocean.

  • not the same as surfing

  • Ive riden everything you can ride behind a boat, but I still prefere good ol surfing at the beach. We used to wake surf on Skurfers back in the mid 80's. Fun times on the river everytime the surf went flat. I guess thats everything in life...stuff to occupy your time until the surf comes up. Aloha

  • for everyone whos learning. i use a Yamaha 212x (jet boat) at about 12mph and we have ballast tanks filled.

  • if someone can help me I will apreciate it... Im trying to wakesurf but when I try without the rope i cant stay surfing thanks buddies

  • @matskiavila you need a pretty good boat and the best speed is about 12mph and get as many people in the boat and to the side youre surfing on

  • What speed do ride at? Do you have fat sacks?

  • @dlotkilla 12mph

  • Ah good old disco bay. Rich kids that do too many drugs.

  • see the new look of Shred Stixx Wakesurf Co at

    shredstixx(.)com

and follow the shred stixx pro riders at:

    slayshTank(.)com

  • What's the big deal? we've been doing this for 20+ years and they're calling it a "new sport"?

  • that probably costs a lot of petrol, when you look how much it drags!!

  • man that guy must be in his mid 50's and hes still fit and rippin it up!

well done dude....you my hero right now!

    cheers

  • awesome vid!!!

  • check my wakesurfing videos

  • why is the boat so sideways?

  • @MrSnowboarding123 because they added weight to the left side to create the wake (wave). They explained it in the video.

  • u can only wakesurf if u have an inboard boat such as mastercraft, malibu, nautique, or other sport and wakeboard boats plus u need ballast tanks or somthing to add ballast

  • cool! look at wake surfing nor cal on you tube no rope in 94 first on you tube

  • its actually called surfing

  • wake surfing orlando

  • nice suspension system....where'd you get that?

  • I wakesurf behind my Jet boat, its not quite the size, but still pretty damn fun.

  • @ThePolishAyrian how are u ballasting ur jet boat? i have a sea doo utopia 205 and it throws the worst wake ever... it sucks for wakeboarding... i cant see it ever being capable of a big enough wake for wakesurfing

  • so true, so epic

  • Comment removed

  • have a look at wake surfing orlando or norcal!

  • what board would you guys recommend? I'm looking to update my inland surfer

  • Dude, iv'e been wanting to try this. Our boat throws some giant wakes about 20ft out. Def trying the next time i'm on the water.

  • is there a shred stixx wakesurf dealer up here in alberta canada???

  • what boat you ridin behind

  • @ultranoob32 yah, they are doing what i said using oil to simulate surfing, surfing is done in the ocean and look at whats going on in the world

  • @ultranoob32 its using petroleum to simulate an activity that you do in an environment that is threatened by petroleum

  • no barrel no salt no sand no smell of the ocean and beach no fun and its a waste of oil and its just boring every wave is the same

  • @themadscientest

go on a flat day in the ocean, true not the same but beats a flat spell eh.

  • @blatitude its using oil and you kno what that dose

  • Looks boring.

  • Wakeboard till i die you old kook! wakeboarders arent "looking for something else to do!?" go fall into an outboard

  • skills search "when he was a young worthog " for more skilful wurfing

  • no....it will never be like surf in ocean......

  • where's is that?

  • Using a skimboard or wakeskate is not going to give you very good results as the rails on these boards are not designed to "lock-in" and give you the push off the wake that you need... You could use a regular surfboard, but the shorter boards are going to work better. I ride a 4' Inland Surfer behind a 21' MasterCraft X-9. We do about 10-11 mph. Have a 500 lb. fat-sac in the front of the boat, a 1500 lb. sac in the back, and as many people as we can find (typically 10+).

  • how much shit does sean cummings get for his name?

  • could i use my 5'10 lost rocket

  • ya. u can use a wakeskate, but it is pretty hard unless u have a large wake.

  • can u use a wakeskate

  • has any one tried wake surfing reelly close to a sand bank to get the wave to break away from the boat ??

  • who knew?!

  • I wonder if ya could surf the wake off a 38ft powerboat? What speed do you do this at? Should be cool to try.

  • typically slow....but not too slow

  • I wakesurf behind my boat and my friend's boat with an outboard all the time. @ nowlleyes

  • can u use a skimboard? i saw morgan just using his board for this

  • wow. gay.

  • we did this with our new wake boat at about 10mph. the wake wasnt this strong. how fast do you go??

  • you are supposed to go about 8-11 for wakesurfing, this is probably just a top of the line boat with ballast filled

  • you need ballast to weight one side of the boat and you need i'd go a little faster what kind of boat do you have

  • can i work on any boat and any wake

  • there is a tight vidoe of Morgan Just doin this. Type in morgan just behind boat

  • toomuchhockey hahah i bet ur a bender from minnasota that plays club hockey like a little girl who has 3 points in 60 games

  • sick wake

  • shred stixx actually good?

  • can I do this with a fiberglass boyant skim board?

  • You could sure try! Probably doesn't have enough buoyancy though... Wake surfs appear to have 3-4x the thickness of a fiberglass skim

  • activejunky . com likes this!

  • i did this today@@@@@@@@@@

  • inst it bad to breath all the feums from the boat

  • you dont get the fumes as bad as you would think. you dont need the side exhaust just the low exhaust ports under the platform is fine

  • finally got a chance to check this out...good times. since i live 4.5 hrs from the coast, not bad, but no replacement for paddling out with a couple of friends. we didn't have the fat sacks placed right to make the wake needed for completely no rope pulls. :( maybe next time i'll bring my 8 6" and get a little nose time. somebody needs to design a boat or an attachment to create a small tube now...then its on ;)

  • i did this yesterday! it's soo cool!

  • ive done this before. its sooooo sick

  • i have a 7 meters normal WA boat with a 190 hk inboard.

do you think it would be possible for a 50 kg peson to wakesurf with a skimboard after my boat?

i really want to know becuse i do many watersports and wanna keep the costs low by reusing kinds of boards...

thank you for your time :)

  • oh and i ment that its a outboard/inboard

  • please dont wakesurf behind a stern drive boat. i really would not like to hear about you getting chopped up by the prop that is right there. not to be rude, just dont want anyone to get hurt, ive heard about it alot.

  • i will try to raide on the second closes wave to the boat (some pepole are that with a wakeboard)

  • skiing boat have the propellers below the boat, so there's no way you you could get chopped up on one of those....so pretty much anything mastercraft is safe. On the other hand doing this on an in/outboard boat would be really dumb...check out my video

  • okay, but lets just say in the rare case you dont have $70+k to drop on a boat (weird i know) seadoo jet boats work okay?

  • yeah, i work at a yamaha dealer and we go behind the 212x, its safe cause theres no prop!!

  • definitely not, you need pretty big wake to do it. You could try, but the wake wouldn't be big enough to carry you. You could do it with a handle and keep the handle, but still the wake wouldn't be big so you couldn't really carve or anything

  • you could also buy used....

  • i doubt that u wiill be able to do it with the skim board to starts with cause their isnt any fins at the botom and u will be going all over the place before u even start catching the wave ive tried with a skim and its not easy im not a pro to start with but ull see

  • i have tried doing like wakeboardng with the skim board and it works fine if you use the right techinqe (lean to the side and use the whole board as a fin)

  • great stuff buddy ;-) like that , hang lose!

  • wake surfing is daa shit

  • love it!! yay, i hope i can wake surf all summer!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • can you ever fall into the motor's prop, cause it seems dangerous

  • You can't use an outboard motor or use there is a good chance you'll end up losing a limb if not your head otherwise you're moving too fast to fall on the boat

  • I use an aoutboard motorboat...cause it´s the only one we got....

    Keep wakesurfing!!

  • Your going to get shredded.

  • @guitartronic wakesurfing boats have the motor in the middle of the boat

  • @jbr6896 wakeboard boats have the motor in the middle of the boat

  • OK,Us Ol'mama's can do this too! I'm 48 and this was my first year wake surfing, just figured out shoves, having a blast.. (did I mention that I've never done any water sports before?) Great sport..Thanks for figuring it out. I ride a Inland Surfer/Blue lake... :-) Surf-on!

  • floater! haha, that isn't even close to a real wave.

  • dont compare brother they are way differtent things. surfing takes alot of knowledge and skill. this takes skill only.

you can compare wakeboarding to wakesurfing go ahead!

  • good documentary. Sick riding and some sick wakes

  • Awesome, I landed a 3 today... with the rope, but still. I love you for inventing this beard man.

  • hey can any one tell me what the song is at the start of this vid? wake surfing looks the dogs dudes

  • we created that song ourselves for the video unfortunatly we didn't have time to fix the timing of the drums that's why it sounds out of time

  • @guitartronic y'all should record a whole track of it and put it up. sounds like a dope cruising tune. also, what should I look at to get started in this? are these videos on here at all reliable?

  • I Waterski And I Can Almost Get Up!!! :)

  • Awesome!!!! My Friend Wakesurfs And I'm Really Close On Getting Up!!!

  • This is a cinematic triumph! -Best documentary I've ever seen.

  • i got a place on a island on the delta at golden isle ski club.

  • those fatbags are old ass hell too the new mastercraft xstars got tanks built in the boat so you can fill it up and drain it

  • You would NEVER wake surf with an outboard motor, and for the comment below that...some of us aren't luck enough to live on the coast, this is as good as it gets.

  • if u wiped out though couldnt u land on the engine and get schopped up or no

  • no you couldn't the prop is under the boat not the swim deck, and the prop wouldn't suck you up it would push you away. trust me i've fallen a lot!

  • san jose rep goos shit

  • why would you care that much? dudes are having fun. shut up.

  • does it really matter, i surf and i love to wakesurf... its loads of fun..

  • sweet. im gonna need to try one of those shred sticks. check out my video. a bit more amateur but getting there

  • Love the Stixx, ranked No 1 by txshreds dot com.

  • nice vid

  • totally awesome!

  • nice vid!!

i just got into wakesurfing last year and now have broken away from wakeboading a bit!!

    it's a sick sport!

  • What kind of board were you guys riding?

  • nice vid =D

  • Yeah, I broke my back wakeboarding so I'm no longer able to do that, I have since picked up surfing and it's just as enjoyable without all the impact!

  • hey! I helped make this! vote for it on currenttv pleasssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeee
