I like to leave it curly from a previous style so that the coils will lump together more... the back of my hair texture is somewhat diff... it seems to coil extremely tight ... perhaps that is what you mean...

I'm really happy to see you checked on the ingredients. I've found a lot of the vids on natural hair use a ton of products and the whole cowashing thing as well - but if you don't pay attention to ingredients (which are often pretty harsh in products made for black customers) you end up bathing frequently in some nasty ingredients. Bad for your body and maybe bad for the environment, too.

I never really used it again... I was not concerned about what it would do to my hair... but the impact the product ingredients would have in my body as it was being absorbed via continued use... the ingredients were not very safe if I remember correctly....

The first time I did the conditioner only method I used None of your frizziness by Herbal Essensens and it was ok. I got better results with the Sunsilk Captivationg Curls conditioner.

I would if u want that look without the concern for the chemicals that might be going into ur body.... I haven't used it since... I liked the results but I am kinda weird in that I don't like to use a lot of chemicals in /on my body... I do twist out mainly anyway... but if u like w/go's sparingly it may not be that bad for ya...

I love sunsilk captivating curls line. I wish that it didn't have some of the ingredients that it does but when it comes to twisting, and bantu knotting I love this stuff! I does fight the frizz well and its very good curl setter. I use the gel/cream mix that's spiraled because it has glycerin and other healthy things as it's main ingredients as opposed to the cream in the bottle, which also is a very good curl styler.

I find them at Whole foods market in Atlanta,but that's an hour and a half away from me. Luckily though, i found it by accident in a beauty supply here and i was sooo happy (lol)!! I bought 2 bottles and i plan on going back next week to stock up. I am so afraid they will be gone if i don't get them right away! I think you will like it, it made my niece's brittle feeling hair so amazingly soft! I use it for my kids too and i just love it! Hope they never discontinue it :(

Your hair turned out, lovely~You textures are similiar, but I tend to get a lot of frizz. I LOVE the CO method and Pantene and Dove tends to be my favorites. I make sure to really get my roots good with the conditioner. When it dries, I'm able to stretch my curls with minimal frizz. It has been my salvation!

Hey, Love~ I do use a diffuser often. I never dry to completion because I'm either too impatient or don't have enough time. It works FINE. And if I have done the co-only method, I can play in it with minimal frizz. Other products, not so much. I will do a vid and show you what I use and how, cool?

I only diffused my hair 2 x's wit wash&go wen I did leave-in / heavy gel method cuz the gel really holds in water, & stays "SOAKING" wet 4 awhile. Hair was fine, didn't get frizz. I try not 2 put heat 2 my hair. I don't mind going outside wit wet hair cuz I like my "elongated" curls 2 last as long as they can. I've been going outside with wet hair for a couple years now (in all seasons), and I never get sick either. I proved those people who say u'll catch pneumonia wrong. :-)

During the week, I do use a diffuser to dry my hair. Unfortunately (or fortunately), my hair is so thick, I have to use it on high in order to get it to dry in less than 30 minutes. Over the weekend, I don't. I just let it air dry. If I wash my hair at 6 a.m., it's totally dry at around 3 p.m. I only let it air dry when I'm not leaving the house (typically on the weekend). Now during the summer, here in Texas, that could change.

LOL, I don't mind at all. It does, but just a little. When I diffuse, I use my afro pick to hold my hair away from my roots while holding the blowdryer on that section, then I move to the next. I don't pick all the way through. I just use it to lift up my roots and to stretch my hair (a little). The blowdryer I use is a Conair and it came with a diffuser and a concentrator (it's a little nozzle that guides the air through a hole). I got it at Ulta and paid around $15. It was on sale.

I am just a little concerned about leaving it in so long esp if it is not natural... because there are just so many carcinogens (cancer causing agents) in many of these products today.... and leaving something on all day everday may not be the best -- thus increasing our exposure to many potentially harmful ingredients.... be good girlie and thanks again for the comments and support... ;-)

I share your concerns re: using condish-only method w/ products that contain questionable ingredients. You know those slow-release plant food spikes for houseplants? That's how I think condish-only method works on our hair & scalp. That's why I've only done it w/ my Aubrey Organics.
