that was cool. i was thinking of learning zbrush retopology tools, then i was advised to use 3d coat, now it seems topogun is the best, all i need it for is the retopology. i use xsi and zbrush, can you recommend a tool/process?
@T3yue Quads are completely irrelevant at this point. They are helpful in working with higher density meshes as you can select rings and loops, but quads really mean nothing when it comes to sculpt mesh or the final lowpoly mesh.
But yes, the topology could have used a bit more love. Sure.
@lorthondo I'm not sure what you mean by move object on axis? There's no transform in tg, if thats what you want? You are restricted to moving on the surface of the mesh.
No, not transforming, just move to hold focus on special parts of the object. So maybe better to say: i can only zoom and turn the object, but no way to pull it up/down left/right.
@kostas1608 EH? I made that model myself. There are videos of me doing it. It's intended to help you make lower resolution models from sculpts you create.
@ rwhittaker69hotmail .Topogun is for retopology,or retopologising a mesh,The use is to take a 3dmodel(Mesh) that would be too high to use in another package like 3d max properly,so you use topogun to trace over the high mesh and make a low version that can be exported to a 3d game engine and makes it animation friendly.the result is a very low polygon mesh that looks high detailed like the original.hopes this helped you.
im looking at this program atm and while it looks awesome i have no idea what it does or how it works! do you important a sculpt, and then deal with the edge flow like you have in this video? then important back into zbrush mudbox to play with it etc?
This is amazing. Gotta give this a try. Though the minotaur and retopologizing is awesome, I've got to ask about this music. I've got this vid playing in the background all the time now. Please, what is this music??
I'll see about doing that this weekend. I don't usually record audio, though! Will take a bit of finesse. I did do a retopology walk-through in zbrush, though. I'll upload that if I have it hand.
great morel and HQ retopology. i will love to see haw it looks with the diffuse color :)

@Fazigu It looks like about 3000. I am not sure though. I did it a while ago.

I´ve found the solution: my Trackball got his MMB hidden under the wheel, whis is used to pan the object.

topology needs a bit of work / try to preserve quads through out your mesh / eliminate triangles/
nice work / keep up the good work

I tried every button, but can´t find it, plz help :)

@lorthondo Lorth: Tranform = moving up down left or right in 3d space. =) Still not sure what you want to do any of that for in TG
