It's so true; even though she tries to continue her normal life by doing such things as going to the opera, she is rejected by people there as well; there is noone to love, and noone to love her.

Only this emotion can be truly conveyed with that minute long scene of Glenn removing her makeup and that single tear as it fades into darkness.

Pure genius.
