krav maga is very effective against your everyday problem starter like any other martial art. The fact is anyone who wants to start a fight usually has a huge lack of discipline or something mentally wrong with them. However Krav Maga will not work very effectively against any form of grappler or striker of a high caliber. You will not see some average throw chad dawsom or some couch potato who takes classes knock out cael sanderson/ricky lundell miracles dont happen in fights lol.

I didn't see anything special thing about Krav Maga. Yes, it's obviously a defence but anybody who have an experience in street fighting can do this. Any armed forces in every country train these type of defence. There is a lot of contact in the class, each begins with extensive anaerobic weight based exercise. Elements of Judo, Jujitsu, and Aikido have been incorporated into it so it is a form of MMA itself. In the street it comes down to the individual fighter, and arrogance over a specific style will get you beat sometimes

They use the best things that fit them from different fighting styles they've learned over time and use them to their advantage. Get experienced and you'll have lots under you belt to choose from. I didn't see anything special thing about Krav Maga. Yes, it's obviously a defence but anybody who have an experience in street fighting can do this. Any armed forces in every country train these type of defence. Why would anybody make it as if the israelis forces invented it?..with a special name 'Krav Maga'.I think most of the martial art..whether it's 'ring fight' or a 'street fight' originally mostly from Asia i.e TKD, karate, Aikido, Thai Boxing, Silat, Wing Chun, Taichi, Judo etc. Agree?

@syimang I practice Krav Maga at some time, and believe in me, it has a lot of things that other kind of fighting arts don't have, the people that are outside think that it isn't nothing special, but when you're inside you see a lot of differences, a lot of the things you can learn seem simple because krav maga just grab in your reflexes, train them for you use them in battle, and it teach you to be more prepared to fight in the streets, teach you to avoid problems, even teach you how to defend

I've studied the Martial Arts in different styles for over 20 years, and street fights end in wrestling matches unless you can lock up em up or seriously maim them within 30 seconds. Just get a freakin Tazer and use only for self - defense is what I recommend for women.

According to military semantics, a combat situation is regarded as CQC/H2H when the threat is within 7 metres (21 feet) and is armed with a edged/blunt weapon or shows intent to use empty hand techniques. Many special forces and even army regulars when performing MOUT will encounter a H2H situation.
