Even though Veronica had a whole speech and panic attack about needing to abort the spawn of a hybrid insect/human creature gestating in her womb, even though she watched Seth, the father of the abomination growing inside her, turn into a giant fly creature and had to shoot it in the face to end its rampage, even though she had to go through the unmidigated hell of living with those memories, she decided to say "phooey and pishaw" to the abortion and keep the cute little reminder of her torment.

An excellent horror film. Its a bit long-winded compared to the first film, but its worth the wait for the final showdown between Martin and his greedy tormentors.

Essentially a remake of Return of the Fly, changing the focus from "What have I done" to "What are gods made of", Personally I think this one handled it better than Return of the Fly, but we all have our own opinions.

i have to admit though it's plain sad in this movie especially the poor dog.. i mean also there is a video tape that brundle made before his appearent death in the first film which his son finds in this movie and his son realizes that he's going through the very same tragedy that what happend to his dad. but in the video tape he explains how to reverse the gene splicing by putting another person in the other telepod like how he tried to do to veronica in the first film.

is it true that this movie sucks, cause that's what i keep hearing. and if that's true, then i'd rather not waste my time watching it. i LOVE the original though, so i hope this movie is at least OK ^_^

@StarWarsFanatic99 It's definetly worth your time, though try not to compare it to the greatness of "The Fly". It doesn't have the same intelligence or emotional love story behind it that the first film had, nevertheless it is what I would call a "solid" sequel. Though be warned, it is just a gross as the first film and can be quite disturbing at times.

The characters are kind of shallow and story thrown together, but the gore and effects are awesome! Decent enough to see at least once :)

This movie is definitely worth watching. It's not nearly as good as The Fly (1986), its better suited as a sci-fi horror monster movie as opposed to the dramatic story the first movie had. The scenes involving the dog were excellent. Overall I give it a 5.5 out of 10 (some very good moments, nice gore and action, slow moving plot, semi-forgettable characters)

Ok sequel. Im not saying Eric Stoltz is anywhere near the talent that is Jeff Goldblum, but he, too, started out acting very geekt or nerdy, then as he kept transforming more into the fly, started acting more serious and even demented. So that, to me , helped this film be watchable. But, in comparison, the first one is just way better!! 5 stars of 10
