  • NOTE: The, great fiddle player, Art Stamper.

  • Love the fiddle Break,Great tune.

  • is that Ernie Thacker singing Lead?

  • @Sparrowhawk155 Negative. I'm not sure who's singing lead here, but it's not Ernie T. In my humble opinion the best versions of this song feature Charlie Sizemore on lead.

  • @rickyleehale I believe it is Kenneth Davis - He is with the Scott County Boys now.

  • This music just put's a smile on my face..... Wonderful

  • Nothing better if you ask me than clawhammer and ole' time.....great for the soul especially when it's Dr. Ralph and I love this version...

  • I am cousin to Art Stamper.

  • Ralph Stanely is one of the best ever . I love the guitar break from that man too.

  • what tuning is this (double C)?

  • @danbolub yes it is in double C

  • Note the great Kentucky fiddler the late Art Stamper. Worked the green room one year at IBMA and had the pleasure to talk and listen to Art 1 to 1

  • I remember this from " Austin City Limits"

    Beautiful!

  • ....story has it that Carter called Art Stamper(fiddle) "Ol' Hoss" and deservedly so. These 1st generation cats that picked lived their music !!!!
