I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the place is not haunted — not by Mrs. Squire, anyway. She died at her home in Wycliffe, Ohio in 1927, five years after her husband sold the property. I have a copy of the death notice, which I got from newspaper archives. I'm doing research for a short documentary of my own, hence my knowledge that the alleged haunting is bogus.

Reading books and other people's accounts of the history of a property is NOT a paranormal investigation. You have no idea if this place is haunted or not. It's very important not to draw conclusions that Squires is NOT haunted without properly investigating the property for spirits. I was not with them on this day so I can't say for sure myself. However they did record some compelling evp. Chris is here now, interested in meeting us down there to investigate? I'd love to check it out for myself. And being we have the equipment, it might be interesting to your story to document what is found, or not conducting a real paranormal investigation.?
Spirits TRAVEL and don't only haunt the places they die. So Mrs. Wycliffe dying elsewhere is not evidence her spirit is not at Squires. People die in their cars for example, and choose to haunt their favorite pub. If you're to make an objective documentary, you need to research for spirits before deciding there are none there. PM if you'd like to attend an investigation with us there.
Michael never responded to my invite to do a PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION! I'd have no problem w/him challenging us, however I do since he's NOT studied the paranormal at Squires but merely read over regurgitated info that makes him think he's knowledgeable about the paranormal occurences there. His research obviously has major HOLES in it especially since he broke a major rule and went into it with a major lack of objectivity. I don't need a place to be haunted as I deal w/hauntings all the time.
Clearly more than one spirit is skulking about on this site. You must go back for a longer investigation. You could probably get permission to stay the night if you spoke to the parks dept. Another fine effort!
