brand new is an exceptionally good live band. especially since devil and god came out. if you haven't actually BEEN to a concert to hear them since or at all, you're not getting the real sound. when i saw them play in raleigh last year at the disco they impressed me very much with their ability to recreate the sounds from the album live, despite the ridiculous harmonic complexity of pretty much all the tracks on devil and god. and it doesn't hurt that jesse's voice/range has gotten even better.
