@emersiveav Keep watching the videos... This is not the actual finished car this is what will be used to product the body panels for the production version. The Blade is estimated to weigh in at 2400lbs.
your car looks great ..you guys have done a great job right there..but how can this car be street legal..i mean before the performance & looks you need safety..& how it will perform in a crash test
Im not trying to offend you in any way, but, in my design point of view i have somethings to say:
1. Its got too many air intakes and "exits"
2. The lines are way too fine. You should smooth things a little or at least compensate them with more fine lines, because its smoth then too round and it doesn't quite fit
3. The lights look very small in comparison to the size of the car
4. The front looks a lot like a Dodge
5. I think round taillights doesnt fit with the stile of the car
@THEJEDEYEMASTER Yes there is huge market for these cars. And the economy being in the state that its in is actually a good thing for the little guys trying to break out and develop something new. When we finished our car i think you will be surprised at the quality and performance over some of the other cars you would rather get first.
@avalableusername Don't Cry... Oh its a lot of paper work... but we have some dealers that will set us up with VIN numbers and register the car for us.
@mikenametaken Oh its been a few years in total and still going on. Its a major undertaking. we are not only designing just the car but also a Chassis and drive train along with ways to manufacture 200 cars a year. Stay Tuned!!!
Put the backup lights up next to the brake lights. The other spots you pointed to would be to low. try to stay away from the "bubbly" look. no matter how many times major car manufactures try to push the "super curve ultra aerodynamic" bullshit, its not good. I think the front and rear wheel wells are sticking out WAY to much. The front/rear fender area should be flush with the center of the car.....
That's just my opinion.
Keep up the good work otherwise and make your dream come true.
Yeah the backup lights will be higher next to the tail lights. At this point we were just playing with ideas. Not sure what you mean by bubbly look dont think our design is bubbly at all. Also not sure what you mean about the wheels being flush with the center of the car. The design is pretty set in stone now so this is what it will look like.
word. what i meant was that the wheel's stick out, but the door area in the center between the wheels isn't flush (straight). the wheel area's stick out where as the door/side area is inward.
-_- right side of the car. the wheels are the -'s and the body area (or door area) is the _.
OK i understand what you mean now... although straight lines are not the look we are going for. The idea is to bring back the retro fender flaring from the past with a modern styling. See our latest videos it looks better now.
@chickenpoper Yeah this is not the actual car, this is whats called a Body Buck, its what will be used to create the finale body panels for the chassis. Yes the hood will open forward like in my latest video and no there is no Foam on the real prototype, that would be crazy.
So you haven't yet decided on the wheels you're going to use? How can you design an effective suspension geometry and steering system without knowing the wheel sizes and offsets?
Our wheels/tires and offsets have been decided now, and our suspension is adjustable in just about every sense. Also since we are designing and building our own chassis we can make the necessary changes if one setup works better with a certain size wheel/tire combo than another.
I salute your efforts. It's refreshing to see small volume builders showing the way to go. It's a great looking car and I think your humble professional videos are amazing to watch. Your doing what hundreds of us could only dream of. Your dream deserves every success. Good luck to you all
Thanks for watching Well after the body is done we should be ready for full running prototype. Our chassis and suspension is already mostly developed, we just need to put it all together and same for engine and drivetrain. Honestly after the main body we will begin on interior and mounting points.
Well its not nerves it just not knowing what to say. I wing all this video stuff as I am not a professional YouTuber. Its not really my strong point but Im working on it. If you look at the newest videos I think I do a lot better with the repetitive word issue.
do anyone know how many time did he say ( Basically ) ? and the tires size must be taking early to know what finders wide you are going and that counted with the car wheel base and many things in 1st.
btw, keep on trucking. never mind that it's a lot of work. the way to eat an elephant is one bit at a time. you'll get there and the less you spend being overwhelmed by what's ahead the higher the likelyhood of succes
I know you are far into the design etc but LED diodes are so powerful now that you could have just the rear lights as a single 5mm dot which would free the design a lot. same with blinkers which you might still be able to incorporate
Yeah 5mm for tail lights are way too small it would not pass regulations at all. Plus we like our current lights and they are also LED with a unique star pattern.
well it sounds plausible that the rules would be so rooted in the conventional. do you have a link to those rules? I guess it's good to know the rules precisely
I would hit that w/some thick coats of Sprayable polyester like Standox spray filler, sands like chalk and fills just about anything w/zero shrinkage.

Yes the hood opens but this is only the Body buck from which the molds will be made from. The hood will tilt forward and has a split line under the side fender vents. At the moment it does not tilt because we do not have the chassis in place and again this is only the buck for the molds.

Is there a market for a car like this when the economy is down?
I guess you would sell a few and that would be enough to profit and contiinue to develop future BXR's...
But $80k...it's a nice car but if I had that kinda of money there's 4 other cars on the list I would get before a BXr..
All the best. good luck.
