  • I've Had 16 Great Years of Ronnie Drew. Me, Mam,Nan and Grandad All Sing "Her Hair Hung Over Her Sholder Tied Up With A Black Velvet Band"

A life for a life or a hand for a hand

Trust in the music and strike up the band

The more that we sing the less that we fight

Time and again this is proved to be right

Build you a statue on St. Stephen's Green

No fairer monument ere to be seen

The statue of Ronnie Drew holding the hand

Of a girl with her hair in a black velvet band.

  • I love this song! I'm not Irish and it isn't my fault! Love Joe Elliot in it...whose actually English, he just lives in Dublin!

  • i know i wish he would have sang more but this is still an awesome tribute.

  • negar egin dut! ados nago. Bono ez da benetako irlandarra eta inoiz ez ditu lagundu bere herriaren alde ingelesen aurka borrokatu duten IRAren mutikoak.

gora shanne! laster munduak ezagutuko ditu "shane mcgowan´s basque paddies"

  • Get well soon, Ronnie. You've got youth in ye yet, man. WE're pullin' for ya.
