  • This video got me into Boards of Canada.

  • Top-notch. \8-D Very pro.

  • Whoa! That has got to be the coolest channel introduction i've seen

  • Roygbiv is such a good song.

  • i love Boards of Canada man! great videos by the way!

  • Ignore the folks with their cliche taste in what to expect in a VGM intro. This hobby (gaming) has matured greatly over the years -"Roygbiv" compliments the gaming culture bar none.

  • Your page is awsome, i would just like if the youtube page opened in a new window, hey but i guess its pretty mutch work to replace the code for all the videos so i will stick with it as it is, keep up the good work giving us those epic game tunes that we did grow up with !

  • Yeah, maybe one day I'll come back and change the links, but I don't expect that to be anytime soon.

  • you can use annotations for the video to be clickable, just an idea that you might use here =]

  • A more calm intro compared to the last one. I like how the pictures popping up start from beginning (Mario) to recent (Assassin's Creed), nice touch. Now with more Max, too. DEATH FROM ABOVE!

  • This is badass!

  • ROYGBIV! one of the greatests songs ever!

  • Indeed. Well spoken.

  • Someone else said "classy" first, and I'd have to agree. This is too nice for the internet, where are the LOLcats?

  • I'm glad that's the response I'm getting out of most folks. As I mentioned before, it's less 'gamey' than before, but I wanted an intro that sheds a slightly different light on gaming, not unlike what I attempt with the series.

The key word when I was working on this was 'sleek'. Nice to see it comes through.

  • Not bad but i like the first version more than this ^^

  • Great work, man. You must be putting a ton of time in on these and it's impressive to say the least. It's always cool to see what new (er, old as it were) music you've posted. Keep it up!

  • Whats the middle one picture gar?

  • It's Mario and Peach (or Daisy, whichever).

  • Lol i should of looked at there surrounding instead of them your opening is great though

  • I'll be honest, I liked the old one better (Oh noes! They're going to send me to negative hell!).

  • I assumed some would prefer the gimmick I used the last time around. I liked it as well, but I preferred working on something new rather than just rehashing it into widescreen (somehow).

I was aiming for something a bit more sleek and to-the-point with this one, and in that respect, I think it's alright.

  • It's certainly not bad. It probably makes more sense to have something "sleek and to-the-point" for a welcome video. I just thought the other one was more interesting and it actually made me think "wow that's pretty cool."

  • your video's make me all nostalgic and happy, keep'on keep'on my brutha

  • Sweet

  • awesome, very classy !

  • Thats an intro with class nice work dude.I never miss your videos, they make me play old school again.XD

  • sweet dude, thats all i can say!

  • Pretty cool artwork and song.

  • It looks really cool, great intro to the site, did you always not take requests? Anyways doesn't matter you are doing a fucking epic job. You'll go down in history for sure....

  • I used to take requests, but lately the amount I get on a daily basis has risen to ridiculous levels, so I'm left with having to refuse them altogether.

Call it the price of moderate success. Plus, I've realized over time that most requests I get are games that are already on my to-do list. I figure I have a pretty good handle on the series at this point, so there shouldn't be too many glaring omissions I think.

  • Pretty cool

  • This was a fun little side-project to work on, but damn YouTube is a pain in the ass when it comes to its processing algorithms.

Upload frustrations aside, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, so hopefully you dig it as well. I wanted a widescreen intro for the channel, but this time around I opted to use a different design. It's not as 'gamey' as the previous one, but I like it.
