Not be mean but Those are not the official japanese headband. The official has no gaurd in the back (black compfort thing) and they have real bolts and the line for akatsuki is not straight its actually looks as if sxraped by kunai.

the slash is a common thing actually. itachi would not be the first to come up with the whole middle slash.

the slash originates from the meaning that by wearing it, you represent you are a ninja, that was from a certain villag, but you are now defected from that village. defected meaning you do not have any ties to that village you used to come from. which is why it was ironic when sasukes headband broke into the slash when he left. signaling he would never come back.
