For 2 previous Sundays cops had no problem with them standing exactly in the same spot. However, this officer decided to make it personal. How do you write off his lies about 911 calls? He was a bigot and the protesters stood up to him. SCOTUS previously ruled, "you cannot arbitrarily change the rules on assembly, doing so is unconstitutional."

NOT one single 911 call was made on that block of Lindell. We remained at the Basilica for 4 Sundays to protest Archbishop Carlson's $10,000 donation to an anti-gay Maine ballot measure. Carlson did this using Sunday offerings and while diocese cut funding in Catholic schools and services.

No one was arrested, although threatened more than once. They even drove the paddy wagon van out to scare us I guess.

I know we were not breaking any laws because we had several legal experts present who told us that the right of way included the permitted area where the cars are parked. The cops knew this and that is why they came back with, "I can arrest you for failure to obey a police officer."

It is not a traffic lane and that is why NO one was arrested on Sunday Nov 29th, or Sunday Dec 6th. We did exactly the same thing, we peacefully protested the Archbishop sending $10K to Maine.

Bottom line, if we were breaking the law and causing traffic problems it would be clear on this video.
