I have camtasia studio 7 for Windows 2000 and I have the operating system pre-installed with SP4 and browse with Firefox 3.6.6 and 10.61 operates as Internet Explorer 7 and up is not compatible with windows 2000 as well as google and youtube videos chome are fine for firefox and opera with 1GB of ram clear 1.4 GHz processor. I had to buy usb 3.0 and it works lol.
xp is the best thanks to Windows 2000. XP is supported until April 2014 though 2000 ended its support is still XP can be used while alive. I have a 1.5 GHz processor and 1GB ram luxury works compatible with DVD and Sound Blaster sound card for xp hd but I have 2000 and it is compatible. 2000/XP and Vista / 7

You can't transfrom Windows 2000 to XP orginal. In license is write " You can't modificy core files of windows". Sorry for my english, i'm from Poland.

Lol, how much hard drive space was that? I think the lowest I remember was an XP of mine being like 15GB C drive.. but like 65GB in the D.. I remember older ones though, like 98 and what not.. but not entirely too much.. : (

yes it is true that some programs will take longer to open then others, but the reason could be that your running too many programs at once or you need to get a new computer if the one your using is getting too old...Windows 7 is really the best thing that has come out ever since the Macbook air :D

you are obviously a noob at windows, since everyone knows that regularly scanning for viruses, using CCleaner, and defragmenting once a month keeps Windows running smoothly.
When I loaded my Ubuntu 9.10 with a lot of different apps, the bootup times increased by around 10 seconds. No increase in bootup time on 7. dont talk about 7 like it sucks. you dont have the right to blame an OS that you havent used fully.
I dont pay money for an OS. when it comes to Windows OS, I always use bittorrent and 3rd party software to crack the WGA and activate the OS to get updates. and all the maintenance is just as hard needed by any kind of Linux Distro.
All OS's have problems and slow down when used too much. theres no such thing as the perfect OS, and certainly NO NEARLY PERFECT OS. stick to your Linux if you want, but I will always stick to Windows for a main OS.
I don't use linux. Use mac os x and windows. I love windows XP for gaming. I love to use mac for webdesign, webbrowsing etc. I just love it. I don't like linux. It feels like the GUI isnt complete.

Actually it is slow... I couldnt even run Ubuntu in a Virtual Machine w/ 200MB of RAM w/o it freezing up every two seconds. Linux's mainstream popular OS'es are ram hogs. But embedded versions are good for minimalistic enviroments...my DVR runs on Linux...and so does the popular TiVo. Im pretty neutral on both, but I prefer Windows.
@francis2795 Actually yeah I did know know that the PS3's core OS was Linux. I also know that Android phones run Linux, my Internet Router runs on Linux and (like I said) my DVR too. Hell even some graphing calculators run on Linux. Oh and yeah I know Vista and 7 are ram hogs too. But I'm not a big fan of Vista, I like XP. And XP can run on as little as 60MB of RAM. I use a PC w/ 192MB currently and it doesnt freeze as nearly as much as Ubuntu did.

I run Spore and M$ Office 2007 on my linux pc with Wine HQ fine.
@francis2795 my pc's dont crash... since I know how to maintain them. my OS was free, my AV software was free as well (though licensed). And Wine is crappy software. 80% of my programs didnt work without about 1 hour of downloading and compiling. not worth it, since the games run worse than in windows. lower FPS.
call me a linux hater, but linux just doesnt have enough power for me. Windows 7 is waaay better than any distro in terms of games and overall performance.

The reasons I like ME was it could runs most of my DOS stuff, and still be able to runs the new stuff, but that was back in 99 and 2000. Windows 2000 ACTUALLY came out before ME, and ME was supposed to be the improvement over 2000, but the biggest mistake was not putting it on the NTFS file system,
But putting it on the NTFS file system would have eliminated most DOS support. But that's irrelevant to this conversation. When it comes down to it, its what THAT person wants. @Raja221 How about you try Windows 7. I've heard plenty of good reviews. It is more compatible with stuff that is compatible with Windows XP. Windows 7 is pretty fast. The super bar (Yes, they re-named the task-bar in Windows 7) is really convienient. You just drag and drop the programs you frequently use onto the super-bar. So with one click, you just click on the program's icon on the super bar.

@Raja221 The super-bar icons are bigger, but take up less horizantal space. They manage it by getting rid of the labels. But they do take up a little more verticle space. But you can change the size of the icons and put the labels back on.

Vista is a great operating system, and ever since SP1, its the most stable OS yet, after Windows 7.

im using 7. an OS thats faster than any linux distro releaded around the same time, for instance Ubuntu 9.10

Linux is weak shit, its slow as ass. only good thing about it, is the fact that it uses very little resources, thats it. now jerk off to your linux while I enjoy a fast and compatible GAMING OPERATING SYSTEM. Linux is for ppl that play solitaire or OpenGL stuff. I want DX10, so Linux is a no go.

@Raja221 Microsoft has their own anti-virus program. 3rd party anti-virus programs seem to work. Windos 7 is pretty fast. I'm sure Windows 7 and Linux are about the same though.

Actually it is slow... I couldnt even run Ubuntu in a Virtual Machine w/ 200MB of RAM w/o it freezing up every two seconds. Linux's mainstream popular OS'es are ram hogs. But embedded versions are good for minimalistic enviroments...my DVR runs on Linux...and so does the popular TiVo. Im pretty neutral on both, but I prefer Windows.

@francis2795 Actually yeah I did know know that the PS3's core OS was Linux. I also know that Android phones run Linux, my Internet Router runs on Linux and (like I said) my DVR too. Hell even some graphing calculators run on Linux. Oh and yeah I know Vista and 7 are ram hogs too. But I'm not a big fan of Vista, I like XP. And XP can run on as little as 60MB of RAM. I use a PC w/ 192MB currently and it doesnt freeze as nearly as much as Ubuntu did.

@nelizmastr That is so not true. and even if Linux is not as good as windows the $300 price difference makes up for it. how many times have you had to restart your computer because it crashed this week? 5? 10? my Ubuntu machine hasn't crashed in several months. is that weak? and i also cant get viruses, so thats another $50 in my pocket for av. and theres thousands of completely free programs and hundreds of games for linux. I run Spore and M$ Office 2007 on my linux pc with Wine HQ fine.

@francis2795 my pc's dont crash... since I know how to maintain them. my OS was free, my AV software was free as well (though licensed). And Wine is crappy software. 80% of my programs didnt work without about 1 hour of downloading and compiling. not worth it, since the games run worse than in windows. lower FPS.
call me a linux hater, but linux just doesnt have enough power for me. Windows 7 is waaay better than any distro in terms of games and overall performance.
I know the facts.

He mentions that there's a website that will steal your Youtube account. The website goes like this: w w w . t i n y u r l . c o m /... I also weant onto another site called w w w . t i n y p i c t u r e . c o m /... That website didn't give me any problems. I'm to to woried either because I have an anti-virus program.

I've been buying Windows since 95 came out, the only one I don't have is 2000, the only one that really ever sucked was Vista. I'm using 7 right now, and its the best since 98, and well XP, but I liked ME more than XP.

And your point is? Its the customers preference just cause something doesn't work for one person doesn't mean it wont work for another. The reasons I like ME was it could runs most of my DOS stuff, and still be able to runs the new stuff, but that was back in 99 and 2000. Windows 2000 ACTUALLY came out before ME, and ME was supposed to be the improvement over 2000, but the biggest mistake was not putting it on the NTFS file system,

@Raja221 How about you try Windows 7. I've heard plenty of good reviews. It is more compatible with stuff that is compatible with Windows XP. Windows 7 is pretty fast. The super bar (Yes, they re-named the task-bar in Windows 7) is really convienient. You just drag and drop the programs you frequently use onto the super-bar. So with one click, you just click on the program's icon on the super bar.

@Raja221 The super-bar icons are bigger, but take up less horizantal space. They manage it by getting rid of the labels. But they do take up a little more verticle space. But you can change the size of the icons and put the labels back on.
