  • Thank you for this video! Just one question, are you boiling the food or steaming it?

  • Thanks for this video! Did you had any water to get the right consistency? If you do another video can you show how you de-thaw it out before you use it.

    Thanks

  • the best way is to put 2 icecubes into a bowl, put it in microwave on 30 secounds, and then when its done add a little breastmilk/formula to thin it out some and then add some cereal/oatmeal to it until the right consistency

  • Love it! I plan to do that for Tyler too just haven't yet! I figured I would wait till I used enough baby jars then re-use those. My mom got me a baby food recipe book, I am going to try a few of those too.

  • We are also going to be making Andrews food in a couple weeks when he hits 6 months. It's really great to see other people doing that also! It saves money and also is ALOT more healthier! I wanted to use ice trays also but now I know how i'm going to store them! Thanks for the video! Andrew has his front teeth popping in and hardly eats. I've noticed a drop in my milk supply also. Did that happen to you too?

  • love the video! I plan on making my own baby food once I have a baby! One of my friends did it for her baby girl and her baby LOVED the homemade baby food sooo much that she wouldnt eat ANYTHING processed. It was pretty funny actually, we would have taste tests to see if she could taste the difference and she really could!

  • thanks for this vid.! As you do more will you please share? I plan to makes Deacons food too... I read about what's really in jared food (the standards of the food) and eww!!!

  • I have read that you were not supposed to make your own baby food carrots because of the nitrates in it. It is not safe for the baby.

  • good on you for making henry's baby food, i make my daughters food i like to know what i am putting into her body as well,

  • Good Job! I never thought of making that much, lol. If I had the freezer space I would. Isn't it fun.

  • your an awesome mommy!!! it would be alot easier to just go out and buy jars...but im going 2 do this too thank you! God Bless :)

  • This is great thanks for sharing!!

  • hi i have a few question that i love to have an answer for it. it would be great if u can help me with them 1)how long can u keep the frozen baby food in the freezer? also how do u defrost the cube for feeding? 3)do u give him one thing at a time case i am not sure if i can give my baby 2 diffrent thing or one thing in the morning and the other thing at night and last question witch food is better to start i gave him rice cereal and apple so far but don't know what ealse is good he is just 4/1-2

  • I see a sippy cup in the background how is he doing with it?

  • Thank you for asking! He's doing better. We took the thing out inside so he doesn't have to suck it out and he's doing well with it. Once he knows what it's for we'll put it back in. Hope that makes sense. Does Ella drink water or juice?

  • after you remove the frozen cubes and placed them into the freezer bag, how do you then defrost the cube for feeding, I do think microwave and not warm water? Thanks I'd really start making mine hers when she can eat em.

  • I take it out the night before, put it in a tupperware (in the fridge), and then add a little warm water. We made it more condensed. Works great!

  • i was thinking of making my own baby food and wanted to know how long can you keep it in the freezer? and what is the best way to warm it?

  • I'm not sure. We have it in freezer bags in the deep freezer...so we'll see. I take it out the night before, put it in a tupperware, and then add a little warm water. We made it more condensed.

  • It's so nice to see a mommy making their own baby food. I love making my own and it feels good knowing that you actually made that for your child! :) Great job! That's a whole lot of food. lol

  • Thats a great idea. I think with my next baby i might make my own food. A hell of a lot cheaper and healthier. I bought some ice cube trays that come with covers from babiesrus just for the purpose but i never ended up making her food.

  • I didn't know they made such a thing. Cool.

  • Amazing! I wish I had the time. :-/

  • Good job for making your own baby food! So cheap and healthy! I miss making it, it was so fun!

  • great job

  • awesome!

  • wow you made a tun of food lol I norm only make about 2 weeks worth at a time and freeze it I don't want ti to get freezer burned so I only make enough for 2 weeks. making baby food is fun though huh?

  • It is fun! We have a big deep freezer in our basement it will be fine in there--that's why we made it in bulk! :)

  • Thats so neat. I wanted to try that when I had my daughter but didn't even know where to start! lol

  • great vid!

  • awesome grandparents :)

  • Thanks! :) I agree! They are wonderful!

  • Great video! Thanks for all the tips! Can I ask, when you get out a cube to feed Henry, do you just microwave it to defrost?

  • Thanks! I will take it out the night before and then add warm water or put it in a small bowl and put that bowl into a big one with warm water :)
