  • Man, Ian was my dad's idol in the 70s, that's how i learned about rock music - listnening to Deep Purple when i was 3, and in 2011 i still enjoy it VERY MUCH!!!

  • I agree with vanessamcqueen-this rules sigend fan since 1972 Craig Goldsberry

  • F*cking excellent, what a great band. Wish I was there watching this.

  • usual dick head TV producers yeah lets look at the crowd while the bands working like hell.

  • @paulspalace I get the impression that the docile hippies in the audience don't fully appreciate this.

  • Can s.o. please tell me why Gillan had two mics ?

  • @dockaiser It was either as a back up in case one went off often feeding two separate amps . A common practice in those days. You'd be surprised how minimal the equipment was in those days. The emphasis was on BIG SPEAKERS and as many as you could get on the stage. Once a sound engineer with a mixer became the thing there was little excuse for a bad mix.

  • I watched this live on TV when I was a 12 year old kid and fell in love with rock'n roll. Been in the music business all my life and live in Canada now. This performance did really change my life. I have been searching for this for years. Thanks sooo much for posting this.

  • very heavy song...great!!!

  • I've got to come back here once in a while to watch and listen to this song to relive those days long gone !

  • Ahhh. Yes. The days when you could smoke a cigarette. Or other things. At a concert. Those days have been gone since 86. Sorry kids. Concerts today are the same as going to the famnily orientated circus. Not the same as the so called. Days.

  • IAN looked so stoned here ha ha ha !

  • @nba2065 Not stoned, he never did drugs. None of them. What they did was drinking, especially Ian G. And that is what I can see hehe

  • @MoonchildMindaugas2 pardon me for my mistake, actually,i made a comment like that before i read IAN's bio so....yeah,now i know that they were not really drug users in those days till now but thanks for correcting me !

  • @nba2065 Sure thing ;)

  • @MoonchildMindaugas2 i dont understand them, that time was the drugging era

  • @ucutumia Yeah, but it never means everyone SHOULD do it.

  • @MoonchildMindaugas2 drinking is more dangerous then lsd and weed

  • @ucutumia Yeah right. They BOTH kill you, except alcohol does not mess up your brains instantly.
