KSCO radio station in Santa Cruz is going to beat NOAA down! KSCO 1080 AM 12:00 to 2:00 Pacific standard time Mon,Tues and Wednesdays. You can also listen in online KSCO.com, hit the listen button. KSCO is not going to stop until NOAA drops this PWC ban and stops abusing the fisherman on the East Coast. Please call in to Dr Wattenburgs show and be part of the conversation. 831.....479.......1080
This was also, until 2010, the voice used by Steven Hawking. It's always cracked me up to have Professor Hawking (Lucasian Professor of Mathematics, Cambridge University) predicting local weather and announcing the time.
My dad was a weatherman for over 40 years. I always loved to listen to the weather radio and I always loved NOAA for the great sense of humor especially the songs and the tracking of Santa.
Thank you weather guys and gals (Jim Cantore please stay away from Northern Indiana so bad weather does not come our way.)
@Silvrtrumpetgirl It takes literally 5 seconds to type a message which the computer automatically reads (Think of tornado warnings with all the descriptive messages).. they could have done this over lunch hour or during a down period which serves as a great test of the system's handling of non-standard messages. Besides.. it's Paul!!
