I'm the first to admit that being alone is not always lonely. But sometimes being alone too much leads to being lonely, and I think it's important to recognise loneliness and be able to reach out when we are feeling it. I for one am slowly learning how to do so.

I agree with that completely. You can definitely be alone an not be lonely. Conversely, you can be surrounded by people yet you feel so lonely. It follows a similar principle to being alone in a crowd. Everyone around you is doing their own thing and though you are physically with people, mentally/emotionally etc, you may not feel that you are not.
@MaskedStudio I'm so happy that the people who have watched this video really understand where I'm coming from with this idea. Its about a state of mind, not where you are physically, and I can definitely see you know the feeling. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment :)
@defense360 I guess the experience comes from changing schools and having to connect with people in a new group. But then again, I have always preferred to be alone when I was younger..alone with my own thoughts.
Sadie, this video was so perfect for me right now. I've always had trouble accepting that I enjoy being alone; that I live like a hermit in my own head. I've always wanted to be extroverted and exciting and open. Like Clementine. :) But seeing that I'm not the only one makes the alonedom a little easier to accept. It's almost easier because I don't have to worry about communicating my feelings. Anyway...I'm really glad you uploaded this and shared. :)

And sometimes when I am at school, I feel much more lonely. It may seem odd to some at school, almost backwards, but its the way I feel at that given moment. Like at work, my coworkers will be chatting, and I'll feel lonely because I feel like I don't know what to say, or I don't know what they're talking about...even though I'm around people, I feel lonely. When I'm alone, I never feel judged or excluded or awkward. I'm very good at being happy by myself, keeping myself entertained.
