  • no time real

  • very nice piece of work man, just got my own wacom after a long time.. just think wacom is awesome.

    5/5 :)

  • many Thanks friend! yes Wacom is a superb tool for the draftsman Hope you have fun! :)

  • Kudos Mr A - there is something about a hero coming to life :)

    I'm still watching vids .. :)

  • Thankyou kindly my educated friend!

  • i am curious, are you using a regular intuos style wacom, or a cintiq?

  • Hi,

This was done with the regular Wacom Tablet.

The Cintiq enables one to draw straight on to the screen. Thanks for asking!

  • And yet another question, which Wacom model? :D

  • The Wacom is the intuos .3 a4 size tablet. Hope that helps.

  • Yep, thanks for the info. I've only used a intuos in a store once. And I must say it feels more responsive then amy current grapphire4

  • FAVOURITE! very awesome man... always wanted 2 get a tablet of my own but i havent had the time to actually go out n buy one.. the skill here is very obvious.. im very rusty at drawing now... i think i better practice on paper first :) awesome drawing man!

  • Hey thanks a lot man!

Yeah a Wacom tablet is indeed a valuable asset to the draftsman but you are right to practice on paper. In my opinion nothing beats the old pencil on paper it's the most natural way of working and still my personal preference!

    Best of luck with it!

  • this is great

  • Many Thanks!

  • Bloody Cool man!!! Im lovin it!! My boys love this too!

  • Thanks Bro!

Glad the little chaps enjoyed it!

  • I am considering getting one of these Wacom tablets, when you first set your hands on one of these did it feel like you were drawing on paper, did it feel natural or is this something you have to adjust too. Please tell me your personal opinion and what tablet you use. Thanks!

  • Hey there...My tablet is the intuos .3 a4 size. I am now a believer in the Tablet as you can see! I think they are almost as good as paper but nothing can equal paper for me. They do open doors to other mediums for example if you are primarily a draftsman and have been frustrated by paint or marker etc.The tablet lets you develop without destroying your under drawing. At first I was dead against them and it took me a day or so to feel comfortable with it. Now I never look back. Best of luck!

  • thanks again.

  • the stylus also comes with different nibs. the standard nib has a smooth plastic feel, but my favorite is the felt nib. it adds a little bit more friction, so it feels closer to paper

  • Man how can you be this accurate when using a wacom tablet??? It's really great.

Steamboys was visually fantastic. You have more of a western drawing style but are you often inspired by japanese animes?

By the way when is "wandering fist" coming out?

  • Hey man! Thanks for your approval!

Yeah I do love classic western animation but in light of all these CGI TV style movies I am enjoying anime more... I have always loved anime design for video games. Movies by Otomo,Rintaro and Oshi inspire me greatly...I did love steamboy as it had all the attention of Akira but was a great family movie. Ahh the fist project! well as I have been boarding on despereaux my time has been eaten.I have another project to pitch before it but Fist is my baby! Thanks!

  • Great drawing man.

  • Thanks man!

  • No problem.

  • I just love your stuff, it reminds me a little of Don Bluth's style (my favorite animator), and your character kind of reminds me of Dirk the Daring. Also love the Steve Jablonsky score for Steamboy, excellent choice.

  • Hey Dark! Thanks again for your support!

I am honoured to be associated with Mr Bluth...He was and remains one of my heroes. I am glad you can see his influence in my work and particularly Dirk the Daring as Dragons Lair inspired me as a child and continues to do so today. Yes Jablonsky's score is brilliant it reminds me of Horner's Rocketeer with a Hans Zimmer feel! Thanks again for the comment!
