@noname311298 its not that they made em "ugly" its that the game is in 8 bit format and these painting are in full hd... one of the great things about minecraft is you can modify any of the files in the game, get the file with the paintings and replace any painting with a full HD picture of nething u want and it will turn out looking the same, all grainy/pixelated

@TheKnight190 Well, I guess you will first start off limiting and rounding to the eight colo(u)rs (Red, yellow, green, cyan, blue, mangeta, black and white). So if there is orange in the picture, it would turn yellow (Or red, depending on the type of orange).

I haven't done it, but some texture packs like paintery pack for example do.

You can also choose your own personal pictures I've heard, but I haven't done it yet.

i know a way to change paintings witouth a texture pack

1. run>> %appdata%

2. open .minecraft

3. open bin

4 open minecraft.jar with WinRAR

5. open art

6 open kz.png

now u can see al the paintings with some purple stuff inbetween.

7. change the paintings to what ever u want. (i changed one to a television)
