    ME TO

  • @GammaNu .. So your mummy tied your hand to the door and taught you to shag? That's beautiful ! ; - )

  • This is a great song!! In the Carolinas, it is a classic "Beach" song and rightfully so! It's definitely one of my favorites!. Thanks for this posting.

  • i truly love this song..and no amount of critism could make me change my belief this type of music is beyond brilliant <3

  • My mother taught me to shag with this song. Tied my hand to a door knob and taught me the dance... it's been a beach music fav to me for 30 years

  • @GammaNu955 Amen! I see you shagging over there, too. All right now! :-)

  • Great tunes

  • Lady Ga Ga would truly go Gaga over this from The British Drifters.GREAT shag beat 1,2,3 kick .

  • this song puts me in a good mood everytime i hear it

  • This was my era dancing around my handbag at the disco i was lucky to have been able to be in the 1970's era. Britan was cooking back then ha ha ha ha

  • Most Americans dont know the drifters, i know of them because my buddy is british, but parently they were just average here in the states and moved to the uk where they became huge, interesting story.

  • BRILLIANT!!!

  • i love this song :)

  • lareorgasm:let's hope this real music stays around for many, many, many years to come.i enjoy this stuff since the 1970s.

  • "You're more than a number in my little red book you're more than a one night stand"...yeah right. That's what they all say.

  • This is real music. When my dad was alive, And when he was married to my mum, Me, My mum, My dad, & my brother danced around the living room together to all the mowtown, Northern soul, all of the oldies favorited. Now hes died we hardly listen to it.. I'm only eleven, But I truly would pick this sort of music over what we have now. It brings back so many memories, When have I seen N dubz, Or Lady Gaga, 1D, Etc make anything as good as this? I love you dad. Never letting your music die<3

  • GREAT SONG ONE OF MY FAVOURITES X

  • ABSOULOUTLEY BRILLIANT DAYS :-)

  • Lit up the UK charts in early 1977. I remember Johnny Moore and the boys performing on 'Top Of The Pops', happy days, HAPPY DAYS.

  • Good music will stay forever-and the beibers, perrys and gagas will be forgotten xx

  • also wowza191 thats that not the reason why people like real music like this, i just explained why people like this in my previous comment and learn some understanding instead of jumping to conclutions, if you dont like music like this why did you click it in the first place then? go listen tokaty perry singing about aliens or or lady gaga singing about being born on a right track of being a hermanhrodite

  • im 13, i share the same music taste as my father i listen to alot of The Trammps and The manhattan and this, these songs acctully have a meaning with 1000 words in 3 minutes, unlike music ie ndubz katy perry who say a few words about meaningless rubbish and walk off also lostharry i am sure your father was a great man and has a good taste of music :D

  • It doesn't matter how old you are, it doesn't make you special. People when you write things like this, it seems you only like old music because it's different and you want attension.

  • same im 23 and i love loads of 60s 70s and 80s.... actually meant something in the lyrics... not like nowadays!!! woop woop!! you're more than a number in my little red book, you're more than a oooone night stand!!!!!

  • im bloody thirteen so what, that doesnt make me special, does it???

  • @Zughiv theres nothing like taste ive seen em live amazing band always we need this music come back

  • It saddens me to think I might be the only 17 year old who would pick this over Lady GaGa. Please don't let real music die.

  • @Iareorgasm does 21 count i hate modern music love the 70`s :) :)

  • @Iareorgasm im 15 and i love this music been brought up with it and i listen to it everyday but i like a change now and then its good i like all music clubbing music, except heavy metal :P

  • @Iareorgasm just shows you have taste

  • @Iareorgasm Im only 13 and this is better than any modern music if only they'ed re-release it it would be as popular as tinie tempeh, lady gaga or what ever the craze is now and sell millions!

  • Lady GaGa is just... weird...

  • they don't write them like this anymore.

  • im 22 and i absolute love the 60,70 and 80s

  • im 19 and tbh 1960's is some of the best music ever to be heard.. The Drifters are quality..

  • Is there a way to download the music from this video to a rhapsody file?

  • they don't write them like this anymore.

  • reminds me of when i was little...with me old dad bless him ....singing away in his jcb..me at the side of him...god bless.......

  • Brilliant song

  • I'm 17 and they really don't make music like this any more all the songs these days are about pimpin hoes and slappin bitches no songs with real meaning like this anymore.

  • DTYYYPR0

  • Beautiful music, reminds me of the 80s during my preteens, people being taken by bullets, and the "DISEASE," and me not aware of it coz I was a child then, and everything thing was magical and mama was strong and protective... this music also reminds me of the time reality hit me; I was suddenly a teen in full bloom discovering poetry, girls and hardship! I became a reader and man listening to wonderful songs like this!

NegramDKent, Thanks A Million Zillion! This is the MUSIC!!

  • im 10 and here

  • Definition of mo town, bow down to the kings of music!

  • LOVE THIS SONG sooo much <3 xxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • I LOVE this song <3 'm 13 ;)

This makes me want to rob my dad of his old records and tapes ect

  • That's the sound of my childhood years! Love it.

  • One of the few things I am genuinely jealous of my dad for is the fact he was alive to see motown in its prime whereas I was born in 1992 and have had nothing but todays dire excuse for music to go with my generation. Although I didnt appreciate it at first Im thankful he passed on his love of motown and northern soul music to me. When I come to have kids myself theyll be brought up on a diet of Motown, Northern Soul and Rock and Roll

  • @IBAMANC Dude, at least you didnt die before MOTOWN came into existence! You can listen to MOTOWN til u puke!

  • @IBAMANC love your words im a DJ old style im still playing all these tracks all my kids love motown indeed words of wisdom

  • 1 person lost there little red book ???

  • I am 10 and here!

  • To all the teenagers commenting so positively about this music, thank you!! But I beg of you, share this music with your friends. Turn them on to it. You guys are the ones who will be shaping the world of tomorrow; it's music, it's politics, everything about it. So, become proactive. And if you listen to radio, let the stations know you want to hear this kind of music. If you buy music either via downloads, or physical media, be sure to spend some of the dollars on this kids of music.

  • Why can't they make music like this these days ? Or perhaps it is a good thing all modern music is crap, because it makes truly superb music like this so special and unique.

  • This is my favourite song from the Driters . x

  • I enjoy this so and it is real music

  • i miss songs like this, it reminds me of my grandad :)

  • ME & MY BABY LOVE THIS SONG,I USED TO PLAY DRUMS WITH BERNARD PURDIE'S VERSION OF THE PLATTERS,.,.1978

  • Back when my grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1997, my family put together a video showing pictures of them over the decades. This song was played when it showed the pictures of them during the 70s. Great song!

  • @lostharry

    Dear lostharry

It is one of the good sides of music. In the few words you write, I can see that you've had a wonderful father. And he will always be with you, especially through music.

Music and thoughts can say more than 1000 words.

  • @lostharry YOUR DAD HAD EXCELENT TASTE.

  • @lostharry

god bless you son and your dad x

  • @lostharry

god bless you son and hats off to your dad x

  • Great song :)

  • @SmokeyRockRoller I know what you think, I believe most have tried it with one or another song ;-)

  • is i sad that im here at the age 14 ? :D my dad got me into it )

  • @mysteriousperson95 Your father must be something special. You might be proud of him ;-)

  • @mysteriousperson95

It means that a young person like you knows what real music is all about.

People who like stuff like Hannah Montana(Miley), Britney, JoBros. and plenty of other "manufactured singers" have no clue whatsovever. It's actually a HAPPY thing that you like, if not love this timeless stuff. Believe me, it will still be around long after alot of the modern "music" has disappeared from rotation

  • @mysteriousperson95 18 mate, i love eminem, slipknot, dre, all that kinda shizz, and the beautiful south and the drifters :P

  • @EMCEBaxta I LOVE SLIPKNOT..BUT hate the rap shit :/...:D

  • @mysteriousperson95 Yeah same, And he has got me into some beatle songs:Lx

  • @mysteriousperson95 no way are you sad!!

im 19 and my parents listened to this music and i been brought up on it.

i love todays music. and i love clubbing music.

but do think theres something sooo nice bout the music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

  • @mysteriousperson95 Finally a teenager with a good taste in music. *passes out*

  • @Ashie162 this is just a secret passion ;) which is weird as my big music taste goes to bands like slipknot <3 but i do love some drifter and temptations <3

  • @mysteriousperson95 I'm 15 and I'm here, haha.

  • @mysteriousperson95 no, im 13!!!!!!!

  • @Qaasderfgth LULZ

  • love all this stuff, mowtown, lionel ritchie etc and im onli 21 lol

  • yay~!!!! Kay

  • Awesome song! Makes me think of my years in college in South Carolina.

  • The golden age of music. Sorry Y'all missed it.... I haven't talked to the guys in a while. They taught me a lot. I toured the Southeast with them off and on in the late 80's-early nineties. I'm gonna call and tell them to look at your comments because it will make them SO Happy! I haven't spoken with them in a while and that's not right. The Drifters worked the hell outta me, but they taught and encouraged me more than I ever realized. They schooled me well. For that I am Grateful Forever!

  • great band uz to cruise to thier song,s back in da day such great memoires....

  • Love it. Going to watch "The Drifters" or todays attempt tonight YAY!

  • love my drifters...clyde espacially....havent forgotten y guys

  • Way better than the current load of cr@p in the charts

  • luv it :) such wonderful memories

  • Why, oh why, oh WHY do I have to be born so late?

I'm 17, and as much as I love todays music, you simply CANNOT beat this sort of stuff. The Tempatations, the Drifters, ELO, Four Tops, Detroit Spinners and Lionel Richie is where it's at! :D

  • @safetypinkisses You're welcome ;-)

  • @safetypinkisses I'm 20 and agree totally with you

  • @safetypinkisses Nice list.

  • @safetypinkisses

  • @safetypinkisses hhhh...u got ur daddy's record collection DNA...and ur mom's too. Respec'

  • The Drifters will never die!!

  • a timeless classic dont make them like this anymore

  • Thank you for posting the original of this classic jam!! Much appreciated,

  • Ahh I love them.

  • This is REAL music. Real voices real instruments. Unlike so much that's out there today, "singers" like Hannah Montana, Hil' Duff, The JoBros. and a few others who have to have their voices electronically enhances and all that "computerized" music backing them up.

You can't get better than this. This is TIMELESS music.

  • totally, totally love this song. Such a feel good tune. I wish i had a little red book.

  • does anyone have the guitar chords to this song? :D

  • what a great song always makes me want to boogie!

  • 85th view ...classic
