yeah, you could always use that and put them at normal speed to show how fast it took you, unless speeding it up will affect the counter timers speed too
Yeah, I think that would be the problem (though honestly I have only experimented with that video effect once, and the purpose was to create an unusual 'time' for my 'Normal Cloud...' video remix).
I could technically render the video once with the correct time and then paste it into Vegas again, shrinking it.
Pretty much, though some enemies are immune to petrification.
Jagd Hunt is the mission I've spent most time on (got a time of about 8 minutes and I doubt I can get a better one), and I don't think I'll have any problems with Scouring Time.
will you be getting the nosada during this run? if so, i'd go with a ninja. otherwise, the only thing you're lacking really is holy magic, but that doesn't really help you just yet anyway. perhaps a summoner? or do they use too much mp? or maybe just another assassin? well, i see what you mean when you say you haven't chosen yet.
As for Red Mages, regular lv. 1 spells aren't too good ESPECIALLY when our levels are lagging behind those of the enemies. Doublecast, given that you bother to get a Madu from treasure hunt, takes forever to learn, meaning we can't learn the ability together with other stuff. OR, we learn other spells before we get a Madu, in which case we have an absolutely useless unit on the field through most of midgame (we don't really need healing in a speed run).
like i said, one with doublecast ALREADY mastered. but also like i said, that would require some badass luck. plus, you mentioned that the month for viera just ended anyways, so that wouldn't make much sense.
i guess i see your point with the ninja, too. the lack of any other speedrun oriented abilities hurts, too.
if you could get demi, that wouldn't be too bad, but time mages are pretty slow, so there may not be any applicable uses. you said viera just ended right, so what now, moogles? ouch
That semi-secret unit, Eldena, you mean? I can't remember exactly how much should be done to get her, but I'm assuming you need to do some optional stuff to get her and we're in a rush.
iirc, where I am right now, the month when humans are hired has just begun. I'm thinking of whether I should sign a human now and give him that Flame Rod I've got or wait for a Bangaa for which I have just the weapon...
that was a semi-secret? that's odd.....whatever, no way that'll work, then. and you in humans now? then forget the juggler, too. i wouldn't go with the black mage, cause then skipping over moogles would be a waste. what do you have for a bangaa? snake staff? javelin?
Yeah, characters that join with abilities already learnt are either secrets or semi-secrets.
I don't like the idea of having a Juggler because there's no reasonable way to get Smile right now and their other abilities are too centred around spamming status effects on a single target. There's a line where their use is beneficial to finish a mission quicker and when it actually gets in the way.
you could also try and get some badass luck with a red mage that has doublecast mastered. when i got one in my game, she was 5-6 levels behind the rest of my characters and killing just as many enemies. then again, it kinda helped that i was focusing on getting her to kill everything, but...
Where to start... You don't get a Nosada until much later in the game (to be precise, after beating Mateus), and when you do get it, using it as alternative to Rockseal/Beatdown is risky because the first hit is guaranteed to connect whereas the second isn't.
I don't want to hire a Summoner because the Viera month is just over (so I'd need to walk a lot), and because elements won't help against Llednar/Remedi. Their spells are largely situational too.
wow somebody is doing it!

That black mage moogle was a tough one.
I too expected Adramellech to be harder.
The Gadgeteer-Assassin combo will own every normal unit.Jagd Hunt is next.I'm really looking forward to Scouring Time.

just curious, but are you canning montblanc are keeping him?

I kill him during the first visit to Jagd Hunt. The problem is, I still haven't decided firmly what his replacement will be.

ah, do you have an orichalcum? how about a juggler then? smile wouldn't be such a bad skill to have. neither would ring from a rondell dagger.
i find it sad that i have to use my guide for these comments >_>.
