  • Give it to russians... they will make it semi-auto or fully automatic lol

  • Now put a laser sight to it and an underbarrel grenade launcher with a bipod.

  • Dear Santa,

    gimme,gimme,gimme!!!

  • BF3 brought me.

  • The reason its not firing in semi auto is cuz ITS NOT SEMI AUTO ITS A BOLT ACTION WEAPON

  • If I'm right the weapon is semi auto, but the primer / test shots he's using don't have enough power to automatically load another round. This is why police forces prefer pump action, as non lethal rounds like bean bags are shot with less force, so a semi automatic weapon would not operate effectively.

  • Sounds like they used shells with just the primer (no powder/shot/wad) for the demonstration.

  • lol carbeen

  • @striker2387045 To tell you the truth, these days, I hear Carbeen more than I hear Carbine.

  • @mohairborne95 The dictionary says both... [kahr-been, -bahyn]

  • @dreammaker182 Well, okay then...

    User preference then, really.

  • I dislike this shotgun system, mainly because of the straight-pull bolt-action operation that the soldier has to undergo. It would be smarter if they made that system in semiautomatic. For that, the soldier can switch off much easier from the rifle to the shotgun. A good example is one from the TV show, Sons of Guns. They turned a Saiga 12 into an underbarrelled shotgun. Even the add-ons made it look more awesome.

  • @ThePhamine This is probably because a semi-auto version would weigh twice as much as the bolt action. An average soldier would like to keep the amount of carrying weight to a minimum for mobility. Since the M26 itself it used mainly for breaching and not as a main weapon.

  • @jtwarlock true, but since the M26 can use 12 gauge slugs, it can be used as a secondary weapon depending on some situations. maybe i would like to see something like the M26, but with a detachable, pump-sliding foregrip for comfort and a rotary magazine to either side of it, don't ya agree?

  • @ThePhamine I think you're talking about the KAC Masterkey from the 1980s which was pump action. The M26 itself is about 2 pounds lighter than the masterkey, and the fact that the M26 can be operated with one hand would mean the only thing you need to grip is the magazine. It can also be fitted with a pistol grip and collapsible buttstock to act as a stand-alone weapon. Though, I think a Remington 870 or a Benelli M4 would be better suited as stand-alone weapons.

  • SO yeha uh the first one is attached under the M4 carbeen, and also the stand aloen.

  • in a way it kinda sounds like a gas airsoft shotgun

  • M26? never heard of it do the us use it in the army?

  • what gauge is that? crazy x)

  • Carbean? Its Carbine

  • @Matthew2225 Its pronounce Car bean, although I call it Carbine. It doesnt really matter that. Everyone says it different

  • i dont find that very useful

  • I thought it was semi-automatic.

  • @IWIUSMCIMIUSSR

Me too. But it is bolt action FTW

  • @IWIUSMCIMIUSSR

    hah, no

The M26 has been in a few video games where it is mistakenly given a semi auto mode, but like the man said it's a breachin tool no a combat weapon so it dosen't need a semi auto, your only gonna be using one or two shots

  • @IWIUSMCIMIUSSR

they may have been using to weak of rounds for the semi-auto bolt to catch.

  • Comment removed

  • @IWIUSMCIMIUSSR yeah it would make sense if it was, suppose its size it cant really fit the mechanism and all sorts to make it semi auto.

  • @IWIUSMCIMIUSSR They werr suppose to be in semi-automatic form wdf is going on here?

  • @FPSrUSSRia One: You really should not reply to a comment posted a year ago.

Two: You need recoil in order to chamber the next round. If the mount was designed to eliminate all wobble, then there is light recoil. Especially with the light/non-lethal rounds used here.

  • @FPSrUSSRia Also, the comment right below yours said exactly why it wasn't functioning in semi-automatic form. Learn about guns and become more observant. Your two new tasks for the next month or so.

  • @Killbore1 ? I don't see how you help? I ask a question to see if it would be "seemingly" answered. Not to be contradicted by a moron who doesn't read it before speaking.

  • @FPSrUSSRia What? You asked why it wasn't semi-automatic. I answered you. Don't get all pissed at me because I took the time to answer you. Maybe I was a bit blunt but you did deserve it for not reading the comment on top of the list.

  • @IWIUSMCIMIUSSR The reason he has to cycle the action is because he must be using low power rounds- probably nonlethal

  • It doesn't look great, but then again guns aren't about looks

  • the shotgun is really designed ONLY as a breaching system i.e. to shoot out the bolt of a locked door.

  • no recoil? why? can somebody tell me?

  • Most likely he is using training rounds which usually are like blanks

  • @iflickuoff uhm, ok. Thank you!

    Greetings from Italy!

  • Does absolutly no one realize tht the shotgun is shooting NON-LEATHAL rubber scatter-shot..seriously...and also for you tru7hmnb, STFU.. its called training and their not goin to use live fire at each other...F***ING RETARD

  • This is a gimmick, nothing more. Good training, which you should have lots of before trying to breach a paper bag much less anything that shoots back, renders this a solution without a problem. The time and money would have been better spent making a more effective round for the 5.56x45mm weapon systems.

  • let me take this one . all this is is the action of Remington 870 shotgun thats it!! he is shooting 2 3/4 iron powder door busters 12ga . u need to be no more than a foot from your target. so yea very small kick . i helped make it in 1998

  • Jesus christ, what kind of shells were they using? Those have 0 recoil, flash or report.

  • Don't quote me cause I'm not 100% sure..

But by the sound and the size of the shell, I don't think it's that big of a gauge. The briefing he gave said it's more of a door breacher. Attached to an M4, it lets the soldier transition from 'non-lethal' to 'lethal'.

With that said, I don't think those shells were meant to kill anyone... maybe just maim or bruise internally lol

  • @koolaidman007 Most likely, it's a "mock up," as this is a demo for higher ups, thus there's an overwhelmingly good chance they're using blanks.

  • You're right that makes sense. Looks like a promising system though!

  • @koolaidman007 less than leathal i think

  • @koolaidman007 it was most likelly rock salt, they we're heavily lending on the "non-lethal" part of the system

  • @koolaidman007 Could be using 18 ga. Though really that mag looked like it was hold 12 ga.

  • @koolaidman007 the shotgun rounds have been drained. (the powder charge, wad, shot have been removed) What you hear is the report of the primer on the rear of the round.

  • @LoCoMx338 Thanks lol. I've gotten more replies than I care to remember about that comment.

I figured its either blanks or, like you suggested, just primed hulls.

  • @koolaidman007 all in the compensator my friend

  • @stalker958

Big negative, those are definitely primer only rounds.

  • @10mmTroy then why would he need to be at a range to fire them off

  • @stalker958

Where should he be firing it, indoors? If you think that's a live round you don't know anything about weapons. When you consider he's shooting a short barrel with a compensator - bothof which contrary to what you mistakenly believe will make a weapon much louder and the muzzle flash more visible from behind - there's no way he could be shooting anything but primed hulls.

  • @10mmTroy i never said anything about the sound or the barrel i said the compensator highly reduces recoil

  • @koolaidman007 Sounds like a test round.

  • @koolaidman007 Most likely 12 gauge blanks...... if there were any?

  • @koolaidman007 most likely 12gauge breaching rounds

  • @dumaznbum Breaching rounds are full powered Hatton (Frangible) loads. This is a cold loaded, less-than-lethal beanbag round.

  • @savage495 and I learn sumtin new everyday =) merry christmas!

  • @koolaidman007 I think he said non lethal rounds.

  • that freakin use full an m4 attached with a shotgun... it deadly all ranged!

  • not rly the... shotgun looks like its shootin blanks or fake cartrigdes theres more recoil on the .308 from an m4 or, 5.56mm cal bullet then a shotgun!?!?!?! lol

  • not this semi auto? i play r6v2 it was so.

  • That was blank ammunition he was firing. It kicks alot more than that. Trust me.

  • it wasn't blank, didn't you hear the hits downrange? That was non lethal beanbags or rubbers.

  • Looks a little to heavy and clunky. What happened to the the Masterkey?

  • OMFG LOOK AT THAT RECOIL

  • its carbine not carbeee

  • no actually u pronounce it carbeen the people who dont kno shit about guns say carbine

  • no not realy

  • It goes pat pat pat

  • cant imagine the spread on that thing lol

  • can anyone buy the m26

  • true lost planet was a fucking fest and a half!!

  • that thing is cool as fuck

  • hmm, is f---k that cool?

  • that's so awesome!!! it's not a main battle weapon, but it's a back-up weapon, for use in a scenario like, you're reloading and a towel-head comes around your cover. BOOM! bye, bye, towel-head.

  • If by back-up weapon you ment door breacher, and for towel head you ment door handle your right...

It would be alot more practical to just use the side arm as a side arm, rather than the bolt action shotty.

  • lol at the first part.

  • I'm fairly positive that's a semi-automatic shotgun, he had to cycle it manually because those training rounds don't provide enough pressure to cycle the action.

  • exactly

  • no its a bolt action its on wikipedia and if it was semi auto he would pull the bolt straight back but you can see his hand moving back-then forward-then down

  • He does pull the bolt straight back, it's a straight-pull bolt action. That's why I thought it was an autoloader, it looks almost exactly the same.

  • @Otacon237 I've read a few articles on this, you have to manually cycle the weapon. They specifically designed it that way as the internals required for semi-auto fire would have made it a lot larger and the added weight would make it more awkward for the operator to use his rifle.

  • @Treselak Yeah you're right, it's a straight-pull bolt action. I still like the Masterkey though, it sits flush with the barrel almost so it's not as much of a lever arm and won't violently throw the gun around.

  • i thought these were semi- auto?

  • only in rainbow six

    wish they were though

  • speaking of Rainbow 6. The SPAS-12 in that game was not semi-auto

  • nah, not semi-auto. that was in rainbow six and army of two. i actually never played rainbow 6, but army of two was the third gayest game i've ever played. second gayest was gears of war 2. gayest was lost planet.

  • Compared to the AA12 this thing is awesome. For my part AA12 is useless for military because of its size and on top of that we use shotgun to storm buildings not combat. We breach door with shot drop it and go back to main weapon while with this just move your hand like a m203

  • AA12 bitch

  • the AA-12 sucks.

if they were to build upon it, it wouldn't swallow.

too much weight, too bulky, etc.

the USAS12 and similar is a better choice.

however this gives any rifleman the ability to breach a door effectively,i like it.

  • that is awsome there is no recoil

  • No. I think its just the primer on the shell. I do it all the time with my shotgun.

  • It is a 12 gauge, NOT a 20. 20Gauge doesn't even make sense for a combat/LE shotgun due to the availability for less lethal bean bag, pepper ball, or CS rounds. You also have almost no availibility for specialty rounds like flechettes and double slugs. This is also a MODULAR system that is designed to act as a stand alone or in accordance with the M4. It replaces the older KAC Knight's Masterkey. The bolt creates an easier to manipulate system than a pumb in a combat setting.

  • It won't replace the Masterkey, they would just be used by different groups. Right now, the Army is the only one who uses the M26.

  • Ive seen 8 guage magnum i belive...

  • Kinda wrong. Anything that can be loaded into a 12ga round can be loaded into a 20. As both are made in 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch. Only difference is the fatness of the round. Altho the 12 is better for this. I was just pointing out Your wrong that a 20ga doesn't make sense. It makes the same sense as a 12. Only reason a 12 is really better is it holds a little more shot and because logistics that we already have/use 12ga.

  • and y is this not in the field and y isnt lawinfrocement useing the for non leathal

  • Gotta be on COD6...

  • wow, looks sweet

  • Light delay from shot to sound of impact. Thats typical of a bean back non-lethal round. Alot less recoil as well.

  • is it Car-been or car-bine?

  • I've always said 'car-bine', not 'car-been.' The spelling of the word should be hint enough to not say 'car-been.' I just think that too many people have said it that way so it, unfortunately, has stuck with many people. I will always say 'car-BINE,' but I will likely remain alone in that choice.

  • its car-BEEN thats just how it is pronounced so dont go out givin out false info..

  • Nope. Car-BINE.

  • go to merriam webster luk up CARBINE and listen to the audio preview...then kiss my ass

  • Nope. Not interested. But thanks for playing!! And feel free to kiss my ass!! YAY!!!

  • wow ur 2 ignorant 2 find out the truth

  • You're right. You win!! Good for you!! YAY!!

  • I think it is armoredsoldner is right in that it is pronounced (forgive my non-IPA keyboard) "cαrbayn" (as he explained), not "cαrbin". I hope this makes it clearer for you.

  • nope luk it up n listen 2 an audio preview

  • He pronounces it "cαrbin", but I think that it is correct either way - There is no "specific" way of saying it.

  • car-(been) is correct n thats how they say it in the millitary n that is how i will say it...trust me i know my weapon info

  • I know, the way I wrote it is the way it is written according to IPA (International Pronunciation Alphabet).

  • o no i wsnt talkin bout the spelling cus its spelled carbine i was jus empasizing on the sound

  • are you a trustworthy person? how do we know we can trust you? do u have good gunbroker feedback? , na i'm just yankin ur chain, but when u say "trust me" i don't think it helps, it may sound a bit arogant. also, it seems petty to argue over pronounciation. even if you are "right", also, is the back of a moss 500 bolt pressed after the firing pin is inserted, or is there just burrs from the hammer hitting it for 40 years ,(since u know ur weapons i figured i'd pick ur brain)

  • so this gun is normaly semi automatic?

  • it would have to be.....an automatic system would be way to heavy and bulky since it's a shotgun

  • hmmm....low recoil...

  • very interesting weapon but I wonder how much it affects the weight and balance of the weapon and ergonomics.

  • It was advertised at around 2 1/2 pounds.

  • lol is that a recoilless shotgun?

  • He's firing less-than-lethal rounds. They generally have between 10 and 80 ft/lbs of energy, which isn't enough to make noticeable recoil, and not enough to cycle the shotgun.

  • that makes sense.....geez im stupid to forget about less then lethal rounds

  • that makes sense.....geez im stupid to forget about less then lethal rounds

  • Nah, I just saw someone calling it a straight-pull bolt action shotgun. I think they win the stupid award there.

Wait, did something just change here?

  • It is a straight-pull bolt action shotgun. Read about it.

  • Oh, wow. This comes as a surprise to me. When I was still enlisted several years ago, I had heard rumors about it, but back then the XM26 was supposedly a semi-auto.

  • It's also a 20-gauge, not a 12. Recoil on a 20 is very light compared to a 12 gauge.

  • scratch that, I didn't pay attention to the beginning, it's late and i was looking at the shells bouncing

  • this is similar to the xm-26 lss isnt it? but its a semi-auto.

  • don't sound very inpressing :S

  • no recoil???

  • If it's breaching rounds hes firing there will not be recoil

  • it looks like a 410, which you barely feel. 410's are smaller than a 20 gauge, which does not have much recoil itself.

  • Bolt action shot gun? hmmmmmmm

  • pump action
