  • i think its to powerful for my computer

  • Maybe Ive missed it but have not seen his classic House rent Boogie here, a very fine piece, early stuff of course, always the best, most intense.

And very few of his VJ top rankers, Maudie, Baby Lee, I wanna be your big wheel,

  • jesus, mr hooker was born before the electric guitar. i bet he was happy when he saw one for the first time.

  • A great song to start this foggy morning!!! Thank you one more time John Lee...

  • I love the sound of these unpolished recordings.....gives this music so much character and soul,....Blues albums just don't sound the same today as they did back then.....too perfect and digitalized for me

  • @funkydrummer14 I love it too.

  • @NanaNarcotic Cool.! You're a Canadian too as I see from the profile on your channel! Right on! I'm from Nova Scotia. If you love funky blues, you gotta youtube " Garrett Mason" who is also from NS, Check out some of his stuff! Amazing!

  • @funkydrummer14

Totally agree, where is the "Fire & brimstone" that the old stuff had?

  • This song issued 1949, under the the name Delta John.

John Lee Hooker use many names. " Delta John, Texas Slim, Boogie Man, Birmingham Sam and his Magic Guitar and so on ... "

You can find this song from LP ,,,, " No Friend Around " ... it was my first LP from John Lee Hooker.

It is collection of singles A and B sides, very good LP. There is recordings between 1948 -51

  • @Jarmo60

  • defently a musical influence if u listen closely to Jimi Hendrix theres some similarity

  • totally agree .

the fisrt time i heard hooker , it reminded me of jimi hendrix , it's normal , hendrix was a hooker fan :D

  • Hendrix created his own kind of music...but still this bluesman was his great idol...
