  • Ct20 is a rev 3 turbo but like PETC1 said its the cams, intake, injectors that make the difference. as for being much more heat efficient its not 1.2/1.3 bar is max any more boost than that and they start getting very hot.

They do hold boost for longer but being slightly bigger the boost comes in later so you lose torque at bottom end.

if you are going to use the ct20 then you should use the rev 3 head, injectors, intake, etc as well.

After all that work though you'll still be under 300bhp at the fly

  • 12.76 1/4 mile. Unfortunatly I seriously doubt you'll hit 275 WHP with a Gen 2 and a CT20B. The CT20B isn't actually all that different of a turbo. Slightly larger, and ceramic. Most of the benefits of the Gen 3 come from the upgraded fuel system and the more aggresive cams, in combination with a better intake manifold. Once you get to around 300 HP the motors are similair, but up to 275 the Gen 3 is much easier to mod.

  • ever run the 1/4 mile on this? I'm looking to hit these numbers, but hoping to do it on just a gen 2 with a ct20b and some fuel mods.

  • 270/280bhp at the fly is about all you will get with the standard turbos in a rev2 they just wont give enough boost at a low temp. I changed to a ct20 then straight back to the ct26 as it gave me more torque.

  • ct20b is rev3 though...and from information on the boards, it holds 15+ PSI until redline, something hte ct26 doesn't. It is also much more heat efficient.

I plan on eliminating the AFM though, and going with gen3 electronics, and maybe gen3 cams as well.
