  • How would you compare these to the mora knifes

  • @bigjohn20081983 - They are very similiar, both Scandi type knives, this one is kind of a higher quality version of the $15 Mora knives.

  • Marttiini is like Buck knives of Finland every one knows them here, and whats great abougth finnish puukkos is that you get the best quality for decent price, exelent review

  • @Oozy9Millimeetah Hi thanks, Finnish friend.

  • so fair the knifes i seen this one is the most nice, very nice looks lot expencife than 40 dollars.,

  • now that looks sharp. mirror polished. ooh baby.

  • I got a Martiini knife with a 3" carbinox blade. I've even put it into the dishwasher a couple of times, it doesn't rust considerably but still holds the edge well. A very nice cross between stainless and carbon steel.

  • gotta love the scandi grind ;)

  • I like both knives!! Where did you get those?

  • @sevendays00 The Carbinox I got from knifeworks(dot)com and the 571 I got from amazon. Glad you like them! ~Israel

  • Wow,thats the first bushcraft knife that I think I really like!! They arent my cup of tea usually but Wow that one is great!

  • That's a great looking knife! It might be a bushcraft knife, but I don't think you'd have any trouble cutting a muslim extremist with it.

  • Only $40 for that knife? Great value. Thanks for the info on the grind. I love how much you can learn on youtube.

  • Nice review Israel! I have a couple knives w/ scandi grinds, and they are very aggressive cutters especially when doing camp crafts w/ wood.

I do disagree w/ your description of the grind. I've always been told that it is a straight grind to the edge. That's why it's easy to maintain in the field. BTW I'm a big fan of the convex edge, it's more robust, and seems to stay sharp longer. Hope this wasn't taken negatively, wasn't meant to be. Thanks

  • @GunznGear I only have a few Scandi knives so far, so I am sure you are right, there are probably different variations, as long as it doesn't have an edge bevel. I like your reviews of the outdoors knives! ~Israel

  • @WeAllJuggleKnives Thanks, that means a lot to me coming from you! I hope to do more knife vids, but I look forward to your reviews. Thanks for all of your efforts!!!

  • Wow Marttiini has their website in English also check it out if you please :)

  • Marttiini rocks!I have several, also folding models but not that one now i need to go to the local supermarket to get one :) Thanks for the vid Sensei!

  • @TheValineurheilija Thank you Viking friend! ~Israel

  • I have absolutely no experience with scandi grind blades, so bear with me if I sound like an idiot, but with that mirror finish wouldn't sharpening it make the whole grind look pretty ugly? Or is there something I'm just not getting here?

  • @AkeelaTheGhost Hmm I'm not sure. I think there are ways to re-do a mirror finish, using a buffing wheel. ~Israel

  • i am a big fan of this scandi blades..all my scandi knives are very sharp..scary sharp :) and this scandi blades are good stabbing knives too..take a bunch of toilet paper rolls and try to stab with all your knives into the paper rolls..i bet..the scandi blades are the best to stab into the middle of the rolls and many knives..you expected to be your best stabbing knives..aren't good and you can't get them into the paper..

  • @uddoss im from sweden :P and i have manny scandi knifes (duuh) :) and i say the scandi shape is a good allarunder but it cant stabb better then a dubbel egde knife(dagger) :P but yeah scandi knifes 4 the win ;D

  • Wow, that baby screams quality. Great review.
