  • soo umm... when can we eat them?

  • this is why pagans rock, they are so nice, if pagans protested a christian gathering, so much hate would be thrown.

  • Christians Suck. I should know- I used to be one. NO More!

  • im going to a faery festival on sept 12 here in las vegas i hope there arnt ne ignorant plle like these here that will sadden my heart y are chrstiains like this its so sad ?

  • Well the Festival is NOT a wiccan event, or even a Pagan event. It's open to all, regardless of your beliefs (or even your non-beliefs!!), This is something the protestors cannot understand --- tolerance.

  • I'm sorry pagan excuse my ignorance.

  • wait! so like, christians are there to protest the fairy fest wich is a wiccan thing and the camra woman was so fun she's like welcome and the last chrstian guys like, nuh-uh no way!

lolz I'm with the wiccans :)

  • Cheesus is tha shit!

  • yes they showed up, but we re-routed patrons so they wouldn't have to walk by them. i think the xtians were a bit put off by that. instead of walking by their little gang, we had them walk through our CSA garden and patrons got to learn all about composting instead of religious intolerance!

PS i can't remember what the sign said -- i think it was something about "hugging the wrong tree" whatever that means...

  • Pretty sad considering that J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis were both Christians and (I imagine) would both have enjoyed the heck out of a faerie festival. Of course, those two fellas probably would have been branded infidels and heretics by this bunch.

Anyone who was there know what the bright red sign said? I can't make it out. Also, does anyone know if this fun little group showed up this past year?

  • no, I was expecting them but they didn't show up in 2008.

  • Jesus loves fairies, elves, pixies, trolls, and even religious nuts

  • Oh gosh I remember hearing about this protest, though thankfully I didn't run into them. I'm glad it was peaceful, and it was amazing how kind everyone was being towards them!

  • It was really cool how some of ya'll were showing them the kind of love and acceptance that people should show other people, regardless of religion. I just hope that in the future they learn from that example and are able to do the same. :) peace

  • You have nothing to apologize for - your festival is a high point in our family year! Our kids are 15 and 18 and this is something we still all do together. Thanks for hosting the festival each year, it really recharges my middle-aged (YIKES!) batteries and I'll always stay young as long as it continues...though I think your hills are getting steeper. Have a great summer and we'll definitely be back next year!

  • We are a very active Christian family, have attended the last three festivals, and could not have enjoyed ourselves more! Peace, love, friendship, organic farming, environmentalism, great music and FUN! The folks at the fence accused me of being a "false prophet" this year ...I'll pray for them. Please remember that they don't represent all Christians and most of us think that it's a shame their faith is so weak as to fear the festival. They don't know what they are missing. Kubiando!

  • We tried to divert incoming patrons from them by guiding ya'all through the CSA garden -- i'm sorry if they got to you in any way. Thanks for your support, and we look forward to your return next year!

  • where is all the love that 'christians' are suppossed to be made of? it's sad to think that christians are usually more hostile and less accepting than the pagans, juhova witnesses, etc. no matter what the balief. it's just sad... it reminds me of kids fighting back and forth saying "i'm right" , "no, i'm right". or "u huh" "nu uh" I was raised cristian, but I'm ashamed of some of the people and what they do in the name of god or whatever. I don't claim any one religeon to be 100% right.

  • This made me laugh my butt off! Love it!

  • Christians are against Faeries????? That's just STRANGE....

    And I love Jeebus....he rocks. ;)

  • some christians believe that fairies are the work of the devil. i think these folks didn't like the earth-lovin' pagans that they perceive us as. anyway, how would they like US to show up at their church wearing our wings?! 'twould be brillig!

  • It's always fun to see fundies ranting about things they know nothing about.

And it was just confirmed: Fairies wear boots.

  • Thank You, I've been to busy having fun to go out and see them.

  • weeeeezl, stop pushing your beliefs, wheather they be anti-religious or religious, on other people.

  • I'm in it later kubiando-ing a ferret at 1:02. :)

  • I was in that video! i was the random person wearing striped socks at 0:33- 0:40. My friends and i made fun of them (and still make fun of them) all the time for months afterward.

  • Hail LJ! Yay... I was there! Fairies rule. Humans drool. Get used to it... your wings are real.

  • i was there this year! LOL crazy preachers

  • can anyone give me directions to Sheetz?

  • REPENT PAGANS!!!

    Hahaha...lol

Jesus is a silly myth too....

  • FRED BE WITH YOU!
