I've seen fractals too! they're so beautiful. It's like "reality" splits apart in shards and you can see into infinity. and it's all intricate patterns.
timothy leary says our mind has 8 levels of consciousness. Different chemicals found in nature and humans take you to the different levels of consciousness. think of gears on a car. we have 8 "gears" in our mind. alcohol shifts to the 1st gear: primal needs. LSD stimulates the pineal gland in the mind so that takes us to the 7th = psychic
"God" is the main energy source of every spirit. Each spirit must be cleansed before it can merge with it's "creator."
That is what life is. You will realize when you die. When you see this false reality break into sections and fall away, and you feel your spirit sucked out of this "reality" you will realize it.
It's scary. As scary as it was being born into this reality.
Nothing in this life is really real, but we're NOT supposed to know that.
I don't believe for a second that you can see the future while on hallucinogenics. If you have I would love to hear what you saw, and why you think this was actually the future and not just your mind playing tricks on you.

There is certainly something that we all share within us which we can tap into and since our society is so sucky we usually need to use these drugs. Which is fine. Lets explore!

In turn, it's so easy to brush aside injustices and remain willfully ignorant, knowing that everything is okay because this is how it was created. We were not created we're just here.

Entheogens helped me accept we are atoms and sub atomic particles moving about in such a way as to give us the illusion of existence. I have come to see god as "the way" rather than an entity or force.
people believe in this "crap" because its the only authentic repeatable way to access the God mind or godhead experience. When you experience something that is more real, more familiar than your entire life as an individual, you dont have a choice but to believe, but at such a point, its no longer belief, you KNOW. :)
I think that it would be a good idea to not use the word god so we can seperate ourselves from religion with all of its stupidity, ignorance, and stubborness. God implies the existence of a being god which implies the validity of religious myths, superstitions, and dogmas which we must get away from to move forward as a human race. The fact is that we're not talking about the same thing, but when we use the word we provide cover and a sense of agreement that isn't actually there. thought I'd add
I like what you're saying and I enjoy discussing in this way, but I would like to add something. If God is everything, and nothing. If what you're saying makes sense, and also doesn't make sense etc. Then why use the word God? Why not use the word life? Life is everything and nothing. Life makes sense and makes no sense. Life is infinite etc. Just thought I'd say that because I really don't like religion, and I cant take anyone seriously who thinks that God is a being who we can talk to etc...
All the points of time and space and Everything does come back to a singular point. The ONE. The only ONE. The ONE that is forever and everlasting. The ONE that is love, but Also everything else and nothing else. The ONE is GOD.
god has no say if you dont believe in that stuff. just like everything else, if you dont believe in it, it doesnt apply to you. just like voodoo, and the 1000 other gods man created. so what makes your god the only god? it simply just does not make any sense in any way. which is why im going to get the most outta my life, cause when itss ova, its ova,

its funny that atheists like yourself are closed minded, when one of the main reasons you've abolished religion in your life is because you feel that religion is a close minded theory of existence.
in order to understand life when youre an atheist you have to be as open minded as you can. anything can be true/false.
Try to suppose there is a state of mind in which such "compelling" cautions as yours are no longer compelling.
In this state of mind it is so not because of less consciousness (like "forgetting about the danger" f.e. after alcohol) but because of EVIDENTLY more consciousness.
That's one of the important reasons for the use of entheogens.
i know when i thought i was experiencing the ability to see time or whatever i just felt like i was looking down different paths different choices and their outcomes, and what different choices in the past would have resulted in.. its all just imagination.. our minds developing and reinforcing concepts that may or may not be true.
But time is only perceived by man. Time isn't really anything. It means absolutely nothing. If god was real time wouldn't apply to him in this sense. It's a figment of mind, time is measured by distance. One day is on revolution of the earth, one year is earths revolution around the sun. So...yeah...>.>
BTW, you come off extremely hippy-ish. Don't know if you are, so I wont call you it, you might get offended, but yeah. Just throwing that out there.
If we didn't have a concept of time then age would have no significance in the world and things would be A LOT better. Then again that's an opinion on my part. Maturity should be what you are measured by, not a number. Again, just my opinion. time seems to limit our understanding of things.
there is only one consciousness and we are simply fragments of it.. or at least that's what Wilma Flinstone told me when I was stuck up the tree at the bottom of our garden after that kick ass mushroom brew.
Word. The thing I experienced was a singularity, a point of light where I was everywhere at once and in every mind at once. I was everything. The trip was like going past the event horizon I got sucked into it and then I realized, I wasn't ready to die yet. So I got spit out the other end and ended up hearing myself in a hospital, doctors talking and people yelling BREATHE! I started breathing and woke up on my friends couch. There was no emotion, it wasn't love, it was simply everything.
Finding words to describe this sort of thing is nearly impossible. You could read every book on the subject ever written, but you will never truly understand until you have been there.
I cringe whenever I see "free thinkers" become reactionaries of a different kind. Such is at the heart of every unexamined "rejection" of any part of cultural heritage. Too much "throwing out the baby with the bath water" going on.
People who are IN FACT opposed to lies, coercion, psychological predation, and authoritarianism, somehow find themselves falling into a "guilt by association" trap.
For instance, "God" is as conceptually generic an idea as it gets, and isn't "trademarked".
they become like dudes in fox holes dude trust that! and I'm so not "spiritual/religious/atheist" I want to believe but there isn't much out there in the way of truth...
If we get to add "male", "female", "the individual", and all of the other imagined characters/idenities within consciousness to that list of "fictional characters" - okay.
Have to keep it consistent, after all. "Atheists" chasing after every other idol imaginable is getting tired.
Everything we "say" about life is an imposition. Experience itself is very quiet.
But the impositions are "useful" - at least if anything resembling the conventional life of this world interests you, or you need to deal in that paradigm at least some of the time.
As a friend put it once - a statement may be "true", but it is not reality.
reality has the advantage of remaining incredibly consistent, which makes it an easy thing for people to believe in. at the same time, they think that because God is elusive and difficult to define, God must be imaginary. there is nothing imaginary about the experience of being one with God.
afterwords, one may begin to question reality more readily.
I have a belief in God based my life experience, experiences with hallucinogens, the study of the different religions and philosophies (to a degree) and on what I understand from science - the sheer vastness of creation and its many mysteries.
Your explanation of time sounded somewhat like the multiverse theory in physics.
As far as god and "getting it". There were times in college when taking euphoria inducing drugs that I felt so certain that I understood various things. I think that is just a side effect entheogens and euphoria inducing drugs.
These are just feelings though, entheogenic induced feelings. I have had entheogenic induced paranoia, those feelings were just in my head and not some greater part of the universe.
I would like to think that their is "some greater part of the universe" but not the one that is provided by your common religious hacks ok, hacks might be to strong of a word, but come on...
we are god, even saying"we" istn right, god is the only thing that there is! there is no such thing as death! only death of all your concepts and ideas and only thing tht remains is you! the awreness that you are everythign and everything is you, thats all there is literly, that one point of knowing understanding where it all comes together, it eminates out of and in to. its what is!
What I saw was a bright white energy star like entity with beams of light radiating outward one of which came to me..Small sparkles were going back and forth in the beam between us...Then something told me(not a voice) just in my head "this is what I am...I am giving you your life...You are part of me...." While this was happening I was filled with a sence of wellbeing and overwhelming love..I have never been angry at God since then and I look at the world in an whole new way.
Belief in an invisible man in the sky is a sign of mental illness...Also the way people behave in church today is not what I think Jesus had in mind....Its all about the money...Pepole think that we are suposed to carry Gods word to the rest of the world but I think he would rather us carry blankets, food, water to the needy and let them make up thier own minds...My ethenogenic experience has brought me to understand God in a new way..Neurosoup is right..God is not a person like us.
I was raised a christian, For most of my life I belived what I was told. And I was angry at God most of the time. When I started looking at the facts I discovered that the entire bible was just old summarian stories retold with different names and other Changes..I found the new testement was created at the council of nicia by the roman emperor constantine in order to have one religion and CONTROL the people. The roman catholic church has killed more people in the name of God than almost anything.
You have an interesting view about who and what God is. So trying to follow your some what rambling. are you doing this from a Christian perspective, or trying to analyze what God is like from a non-Christian perspective. Because I being a devoted Christian, I know that a non-Christian cannot clearly understand all of what God is. and it seems you have some of a grasp, but it's not so much about time and space and alternate universes.... keep trying
How do you know and understand exactly what "God" is? Who are you to say that only a person of your faith can trully know what "God" is? Why should anybody take your word for what "God" is over any other of the countless alternative explanations?
She hasn't definined "God" either, but you still say that it cannot be right because she is not Christian. You shouldn't assume that you have some sort of absolute truth that noone else has. Religion is a dividing force in exactly this way
"I know that a non-Christian cannot clearly understand all of what God is. and it seems you have some of a grasp, but it's not so much about time and space and alternate universes.... keep trying "
The godhead as you call it can probably be expressed in an infinite amount of facets, its kind of a turnoff to describe your personal experience dealing with a vague topic. Godhead could easily be more about accepting the reality that you can and are about to receive everything that god promises or better yet what ever you want, the most lucid paradise possible. For me it may seem like the most perfect proof, but for any other individual, its just that, individual. Thats not even doing justice.
"god" has turned into such a crummy word. It means everything or nothing, depending on the person using it or hearing it, and it has many terrible connotations--like the association with fundamentalist christians or muslims.
Personally, I wince everytime I hear it.
But I understand what Krystle is trying to get across.
"Everything an nothing all at once" that's exactly what I've thought for a long time, it's all just one gigantic paradox. Such a great person, you're a lot like me.
The viewer of all experiences is not alternated at all by any substance. The eye of counsciousness is just a witness unaffected by situations. That´s really cool. Thanks to the great plants and LSD. on my first LSD experience, i had my best visuals ever, Fractals so beautiful i had spiritual feeling.
I've been reading fractals are a very common LSD hallucination, which is the only hallucinogenic I've tried.
Oh I tried psilocybin once, but didn't get far on 3 grams, it felt like i would have visuals though.
Are fractals common in other Entheogens' visuals? Dmt? mushrooms?

I agree. How about "The One" instead of "God". Or "The Creator".
The Four Laws of Creation:
1. You exist.
2. The One is the The All. The All are The One.
3. What you put out is what you get back.
4. Change is the only constant except for the first three laws.

This is a very tricky minefield, as everyone has very different opinions on such an important topic.
Your findings are very generalized, and go back and forth, but I get what you are saying about time.
Not so much "GOD" or "Godhead" as these are merely terms uttured by man to attempt to describe spirit in ways that are undescribable.
Anytime that someone says the word "GOD"... tells me they are far off.

Drug induced hallucinations aren't a magic sky man. As neat as your trip was, it wasn't real, nor was the imaginary being you now call god.

NeuroSoup - what do you think about atheists? Are they ignorant or unenlightened by experiences similar to yours or something else?
Lorentz5 2 years ago
they become like dudes in fox holes dude trust that! and I'm so not "spiritual/religious/atheist" I want to believe but there isn't much out there in the way of truth...

I think "fictional character" describes god best of all.
veganazi 2 years ago
If we get to add "male", "female", "the individual", and all of the other imagined characters/idenities within consciousness to that list of "fictional characters" - okay.
Have to keep it consistent, after all. "Atheists" chasing after every other idol imaginable is getting tired.
KosmicCitizen 2 years ago
are you going as far as saying just God is fictional or are you going to be real bold and say we "ALL" are fictional?
valarvalanor 2 years ago 3
Everything we "say" about life is an imposition. Experience itself is very quiet.
But the impositions are "useful" - at least if anything resembling the conventional life of this world interests you, or you need to deal in that paradigm at least some of the time.
As a friend put it once - a statement may be "true", but it is not reality.
KosmicCitizen 2 years ago 4
reality has the advantage of remaining incredibly consistent, which makes it an easy thing for people to believe in. at the same time, they think that because God is elusive and difficult to define, God must be imaginary. there is nothing imaginary about the experience of being one with God.
afterwords, one may begin to question reality more readily.

I have a belief in God based my life experience, experiences with hallucinogens, the study of the different religions and philosophies (to a degree) and on what I understand from science - the sheer vastness of creation and its many mysteries.
andy7666 2 years ago
Your explanation of time sounded somewhat like the multiverse theory in physics.
As far as god and "getting it". There were times in college when taking euphoria inducing drugs that I felt so certain that I understood various things. I think that is just a side effect entheogens and euphoria inducing drugs.
These are just feelings though, entheogenic induced feelings. I have had entheogenic induced paranoia, those feelings were just in my head and not some greater part of the universe.
rfrancis1980 2 years ago
I would like to think that their is "some greater part of the universe" but not the one that is provided by your common religious hacks ok, hacks might be to strong of a word, but come on...
valarvalanor 2 years ago 3
we are god, even saying"we" istn right, god is the only thing that there is! there is no such thing as death! only death of all your concepts and ideas and only thing tht remains is you! the awreness that you are everythign and everything is you, thats all there is literly, that one point of knowing understanding where it all comes together, it eminates out of and in to. its what is!
