Julia Stiles is perfectly cast as a ballerina whilst Sean Patrick Thomas is perfect as an amateur hip-hopper. Their characters are realistic and their interactions with one another are realistic. The same cannot be said for Step Up which is essentially what High School Musical is for musicals. Makes me sad

I love this movie, but I hate the part where she decides to "get into shape" again for ballet. The first ballet scene her botma is TERRIBLE. Everyone else in the class has an almost 90 angle, whereas hers is only 45 or less. maybe this is just me, but it always bugged me.
