We have a launch coming up this saturday, 7/12. I'll be taking my L2 exam and hope to have my rocket ready for the august launch.
btw, Steve's rocket actually only went to about 9700'.

how do you get into high powered rocketry? where do you get your rocket motors from? (not cheap estes engines the big ones)

the larger engines you can buy from airo tech and it depends what state you live in you look up highpower rocktry clubs in your area to join

Most can be made at home if you have the proper know how, But is defenatley not recommended for any inexpirienced rocketeir, (not saying you are) But use extreme caution if deciding to take the path of making your own.

I've gone to some Tripoli MN launches... It's really neat. I'm working on building one of my own! I hope to get certified for L1 in two years when I turn 18.

Join NAR and you can do a Junior L1 right now! Fly H's and I's all day, and they grandfather you in @ L1 on your 18th BD.
