this singer must b ceased & must not be allowed to ruin such masterpieces of poetry..does she know at all what's thaya thaya n of which tabeeb's bulleh shah talking...goodness lord..this is a crime..a disgrace to sufi poetry n music;(
Poem ?! What has she added ?! Read up a bit before u start dissing other people 'cos anyone can call your bluff u ignoramus! Atleast understand what circumstances the song was written in the first place! It's narrowminded fools like u who keep barking the conservative talk like u own The Great Sufi Baba Bulleh Shah! Get a life! She's done her 'version' of the song. U don't like it, that's ok, but pls dont act like U KNOW ANYTHING !!
Too Bad,Aik Tau Punjabi lyrics ko hindi/urdu main convert kar di'a..or doosra aik sufi kalaam ko ghazal ki se shakal dainnay ki kosish ki hay...the singer must listen abida's enchanting version...really depressing to see a v.pure form of music getting contaminated
who are you to judge what is pure music ??? some expert ...dont listen to this ..u have a choice. I personally love this song more than any other version ...helps me understand Bulleh shahs words better ....sonas voice is glorious too !
All sufi stories of love some hidden higher meaning, Heer Ranjha, Saif-ul-malook and of course Laila Majnoon. Laila means the night, (envelopment of hidden beauty) whn Qais sees her face after the wind lifts her veil he is literally driven insane (majnun) by her beauty (moses went unconcious after seeing God on Mount Sinai). Lots of hidden metaphors...thats what A.R. Rehman uses in the video to "Santrangi"

Bulleh Shah chal chaliye, Inayat de buhe, jis ne pehnaye, hame sawe te suhe...(2.45)
- Bulleh let us go to Inayat's door; the one who gave us the green/red robe.
(The 'robe' is a metaphor for the mystical knowledge of the sufi path, bestowed on Bulleh Shah (1680-1757) by his spiritual mentor Inayat Shah).
