If I remember right this was right about when the British wave of Incredible music started it's deaththroes, God the British scene of the late 70's and 80's will always be unparralled, need another SEX PISTOLS , COME ON ENGLAND..We sure aren't gonna do it here in the U.S.A....
When I worked at Music Box, one of the first music video channels in the UK (long before MTV Europe started), this was our favourite video by a million miles and we played it to death, desperately trying to get it up the charts.
Seriously, I was at a concert put on by some friends of mine ("Actual Lungbutter") who are a similar style to this, and while the next band was setting up, the sound guy played this. I hadn't heard it in 20 years or seen this twistedly awesome video and it all came flooding back. Watched it like crazy this week! Truly unique!
I was working on GO Transit's Weston station, and started to hum like Pavlov's dog 'When Charlton Heston Went To Weston' Hadn't heard this song in years, and really is a great video as well. Hope if they ever do a bio pic of Chuck or anything, they'll use this song. (Mike Moore should've come to think of it... Bullet proof vest in Bowling For Columbine. LOL)

Let's just say for him the spit will spin and is ready for basting cause he's burning in hell. First let the minions wrestle that piece out of his cold dead ones. To be the poster child for a righteous man was supremely ironic. Hey Charlton, there are no second takes or mulligans in hell, you pile.
this it amazing music have been looking for it with a while its a true classic (boils the size of 50p's)these guys should do a final cd of there classics
I was overjoyed to find this a few weeks ago, as I lost the CD in a divorce, so when I heard the obituary, it popped immediately to mind and I've been stuck humming it all day.
I always thought about the catch phrase to this song and loved the video many years ago when I first saw it on Much Music. definitely a classic; warped but real good. Thanks for posting this; made my day.
hey all if you see Mick or Rob around tell them Ivan says hi... was thier sound engineer and tour manager for those years also did a lot of engineering on fierce pancake was a blast! Would have been great to see the reunion, anybody go? Cheers also any idea of Kevin's web addresss?
The 'reunion' was a private thing that happened after Rob's surprise 50th birthday, I know a couple of people who were there but I gather it was a mess around more than anything. :)
As Jadium said below, I've had this song in my head for 20 years, too. I didn't come looking for it until last night when my husband got a new vest for Christmas and said, "I'd better put my vest on." I started giggling and then full on cracking up as I sang, "When Charlton Heston put his vest on!" He had NO idea what I was talking about, so I had to come find it. Thanks for posting it for the world to find : )
This bloody song has been in my head for the past 20 years...and I can't get it out...."And Charlton heston put his vest on".....hahahaha!! Genius!! Great guitar work on it too.
