I had the surgery about 5 months ago. They started with the laparoscope, but had to open because the gall bladder was so inflamed. Glad I didn't see this before my surgery.

I had the surgery 2 years ago, I was in and out the same day. I had 3 incisions not even 1/2" each and one by the belly button where it was removed. I was only sore for 2 days went back to work in 5. I don't know what the hell they are doing in this surgery, this is primitive.
i had only 4 little incison , and i went home the same day, i was in pain for the first 2 days, after a week a was much better, the doctoer give me 3 weeks off from work, i think it depands were you having the surgery done, i have mine done in Montreal Canada.
people who,s going to do the surgery talk to your doctor first,
in this video it looks very wired, we in the year 2009, i think most country don't do this kind of surgery anymore.
open cholecystectemy is done when complications occur evidently, sometimes they use a specially trained ferret to eat the gall bladder after shoving up ur arse hole, they give it special breathing apparatus, then it tunnels its way out through ur penis.....honest, I read it in a newspaper...lol!
but seriously they do it open when they snag an organ I think.
I just had my surgery done two days ago and im already home from the hospital. I feel so much better. I had six little incisions . I have no idea what the fck there doin in this video but it looks painful. ask for a ultrasound of your gall bladder if you have alot of pain.
I have had four gallbladder attacks in pats coupple of weeks when did all of you know when it was time to go see your doctor and have the surgery and what tests did u have to do before the surgery.
I had gallbladder attacks for 4 and a half yeaars. They were infrequent at first then increased to one per week. The pain lasted 2-4 hours. The surgery time came when the pain was ongoing over 10 hours with fever. I had my gallbladder out in July 17, 2008 with 4 tiny incisions. Hope your feeling better.
I don't know exactly but it may be due to my recently having recieved a colostomy (35 days ago) I had a perforated diverticulitis. Now my gall bladder is giving trouble. I know absolutly nothing about all this stuff. Anything I have ever had done was under emergengy circumstances and now I have one more day till the gall-bladder removal.
