  • I get a 800MBps copy rate on 8gb gskill ram. Insanity (*~*)

  • This Almost Bluw Up My ComPuter!!!

  • @761BeatZ Why? Maybe you didn't select the correct size. If you have 1GB of RAM, use 768KB or lower. If you have 2GB of RAM, use 1GB or lower.

  • rofl... we have the same cursor O_o

    nvm that...

if i try to install it, it says FAIL! :S

i downloaded the xp version because i have no vista or windows 7

    could you help me?

  • @TheKSE77 what fails to install, the cursor or the ramdisk

  • @mariomj71099 the ramdisk ofcourse xD

but i got the problem, some file's were missing, now gonna follow the turtorial and make my gamecube emulator faster >: )

  • @TheKSE77 if the ramdisk program says it failed try deleting the whole program then redownload the zip and it should probably work again... btw... tnx 4 watching

  • @TheKSE77

i think everyone has the same curor although u meant mouse pointer u frickin NOOB

  • @johnmcook1 mouse pointer? a thing like that you call cursor. and btw, that's a costum cursor, not a standard one, the standard one is a white arrow-like thingy.

    your welcome.

  • @johnmcook1 a MOUSE POINTER is 1 part of the cursor,

a cursor is all the options like right click animation etc and drag animation TOGETHER.

    i hope you understand now.

  • hello it's me agin as I said it's possible to have a 1GB,2GB or 3GB ramdisk You just need to have enaugh ram on Your motherboard for example:4GB or 8GB like I do , and gavotte ramdisk release made after 01.01.2008. to do this: Physical Adress Extension (PAE) must be enabled, and ram4reg.reg must be added to registry before making the ramdisk. In case of PAE the 3,25 GB windows limit is a bit artificial, and ram disk is a way to bypass this limitation in a way. If You want to know more.. say so.

  • @gusmule001 You're right, Gavotte RamDisk, who is the owner?

  • @mariomj71099

    hello sorry for long delay.

Gavotte ramdisk was made by gavotte.

however it was modified by some Chineese Guy:

    05.23.2007 x64 support

    01.01.2008 support >=4G ram under 32bit windows (UsePAE=1)

so it is possible to use memory that is otherwise unused.

If somebody would put a pagefile on such ramdisk, and remove pagefiles from other drives it would ceartinly speedup his/hers pc, when using memory consuming programs such as new games or advanced multimedial editing software

  • man You've used a really old version of Gavotte Ramdisk

it doesn't even support ramdisks in Physical Adress Extension

there is no ram4reg.reg file in Your package to enable it.

and Just in case do not misinform peapole that 3 GB 2 GB or 1GB on ramdisk is not possible to achive. because it is possible. You only need to have enaugh Ram in Your motherboard and ramdisk install procedure needs to be done properly. for example I have XP pro, 8GB ram and 4,75 GB ramdisk on it

  • @gusmule001 Dude, I just found the zip file on the internet, I don't own it so I really don't know what it have, and I'm just gonna say if you have 1 GB RAM, don't select 768, 1GB, 2GB or 3GB or else your PC won't boot anymore. 2GB and higher is the same but you can't select 1GB, 2GB or 3GB

  • @Fuckdog12 If you want to know what it means, Google it! and you might wanna use the right grammar

  • @Fuckdog12 What do you mean?
