The so-called rich "1%" also includes the all the overpaid athletes and other entertainers like Mr. Waters. No one seems to be criticizing them, quite the contrary. They are worshiped like gods. At least rich corporations and businesses provide jobs for people.
Just something to think about next time you want to protest something.
Yes, I'm very happy to see someone like Roger Waters speak up about the Occupy movement and the vast inequalities in this country that have led to people saying, “this is wrong and we have to stand up to the Greedy Corporation’s and the Corrupt Politician’s.”
Right On!! – No wonder I have always liked Pink Floyd – They say what is on everyone’s mind in very eloquent ways – “Fucking Bunch of Pigs!!”
OWS certainly has done a complete job or yelling bad is bad, but, there are no solutions being offered and... OWS really needs to try to understand the U.S. is part of a larger planet.
There is a real need of an individual such as yourself, in many countries of the world, calling to the truth, and above political or financial agendas. I can include Portugal in that group. If it wasn't for your safety, i would urge you to do a world tour... Thank you.
"Terry Wilson and Frankie Gotz give some vital information about the formation of the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement. The 'Occupy Wall Street' movement is funded by George Soros and the global elite." -- (and founded by Adbusters Media Foundation in order to call for 'Global Governance' -- pure psyops?)
I am a huge fan of Roger's work both with Floyd and solo, but he is definitely a "do as I say not as I do" person. He criticized U2 in1999 Ladd interview for high ticket prices. Ironically its widely reported that Pink Floyd avoided UK taxes when they could. Roger can donate directly to the US Treasury if he wants to pay more. Furthermore, he shouldn't claim a single deduction since those are voluntary. Supports Obama in spite of continuing the perpetual wars and an anti-war republican running.
He doesn't understand central banking, or the moral hazard of keeping interest rates at 1 or 0%.Or the moral hazard of how government backed loans create malinvestment. How massive foreign financed debt is robbing the middle class through inflation. The notion that there is one pie with a fixed size that we all must share and the 1% (himself included) rob the rest is a total economic fallacy. I wont criticize him for the ticket prices, he is providing a good, or service that people want or desire
I am certainly not trying to "Justify" these extortionate prices, but I saw his "Fleet" of articulated lorries in Athens and I was absolutely shocked at the amount! Can one imagine how much this must cost to be shipped round the World, let alone all the staff, Hotels/flights/food etc etc? But my point was, look at WHO Sell the Tickets and the Own major Venues, they are ALL Owned by the same individuals ("World-Wide!) Is this NOT an absolute Monopoly and Control/Blackmail over the masses?
Right on Roger .. Nice to see you feel strongly about the other 99% . I think people like yourself, Warren Buffett, etc should, (instead of paying more taxes) should creat a massive fund to rival all of wall street and invest in our futures-the needs of the people- health, education, job creation necessary projects(without the government). we would be investing and insuring ourselves and our assetts. paying taxes is to simply burn money.
And "WHO" are the Controlling "1%" Roger? They are ALL Zionist/Jews and "ANYONE" who DARES say one thing about these Hidden Parasites will be immediately "SHUT-UP!" with Their main weapon from being QUESTIONED... "YOUR and Anti-Semitic Jew hating Racist!" and everybody will agree, so the"TRUTH" and once again will be denied to the masses! WELL; it's time WORLD, to "Wake-UP" and no longer stand for this incredible BLACHMAILING any longer! WORLD! "UNITE" for the FREEDOM of the entire Human Race!
Roger Waters is another uneducated rock performer. The situation we are in is caused by the US Government which FORCED lenders to loan money to people who never should have taken out a loan. If he wants to pay more tax he can. This is nonsense about the 1%. It's despicable class warfare of the worst type. Many of the 1% are entertainers. They are fools and hypocrites. Besides the upper 1% has a lot of turnover. It's not the same group every year. Waters is an economic ignoramous.
@juscurious Yeah, the government REALLY forced them to loan money when the same fucking bankers have our government in their pockets! Uneducated rocker? Do you even know who this man is? Have you EVER listened to his music? He's been singing about this since the album "Wish You Were Here." Look up the term "Zionist" and get a fucking clue. Don't rag on a man who is a million times more intelligent than you will ever dream of being.
It's all a facard for backdoor socialism. your music is great but paying ever more taxes to buy more DU bombs?? less taxes = less government = more freedom.
While I agree with what Roger is saying, I hardly think he's the best spokesman in this case. When you are charging $200 for a ticket to your show, you're not going to have a lot of middle class faces in the audience. Concerts should not cost as much as a car payment. Service charges for The Wall are more than tickets to the original Pink Floyd Wall shows in 1980. "I got mine Jack. Keep your hands off of my stack." At least I got to see the other 3/4 of The Floyd for $25 in the '90s.
@chuckpadgettmusic Do you honestly THINK that Waters is Personally "Robbing" everyone to hear his incredible words of Wisdom which so many do not even comprehend? Wherever you live in the World, just type in your main music venues and "Ticket MASTERS!" and see WHO OWNS THEM! because I did, and they ALL linked back to Jewish-named individuals (FACT!) Want to know WHO Waters talks about? Go to: wake-upbeforeitstoolate(dot)com and see just how far the Mass Deception goes!
@einrib4truth Please. You think Roger Waters has nothing to do with his ticket prices? He could absolutely charge less for his show if he wanted to. I paid $20 to see Steven Wilson (from Porcupine Tree) play at the Best Buy Theater near Times Square in New York City and he had every bit as much talent on that stage as Waters will have on his. Sure, he can charge a little more for the props and all but 1000%? No thanks. I'll keep supporting artists like Steven Wilson who are still creative.
Sorry - I'd love to say what Roger is saying is fantastic, but I find this to be very weak and soft compared to what it should be - to what you would expect from a man who wrote things like "Amused to Death". Get up to date man. Warren Buffett is an insider. He says one thing now but does another. And YOU, Roger should NOT have to pay more taxes. None of us should have ot pay ANY tax on the efforts of our labor. This is about fake fiat money system run by the bankers, and CRIMINAL fraud.
Funny old world, isn't it. I've been a member of Occupy since the very beginning...
I can tell it's a great feeling when you suddenly recieve encouragement from the musician who unwittingly accompaigned and inspired you all your life. Cheers, Rog ^^
his tickets cost alot because it cost alot to run the show. the projectors he uses cost alot to use. to hire all the musicians cost alot and staff. so dont be complaining. plus, you dont have to buy the $400 ticket. there are other seats around $150-200
Do a free concert for Occupy. That would really make an impact and prove you're willing to give back to the 99%, even without the government mandating it.
@zaphodfortytoo on the first wall tour in the 80's, roger LOST money because the show was so big and complicated. He still did the tour because the important thing was doing the show, no matter how much he pissed off his bandmembers and managers. When he did the massive wall concert in Berlin, 100,000 people were allowed in free after people paid for the front seats, causing that to lose money as well. I'm not even going to bother making my point, just shut the fuck up.
Roger Waters is an egomaniac and greedy sonovabitch. He sued his former band for millions and he never thought about them other then an extension of himself. I bet he dosen't even support the occupy movement! That man is a disgrace for the music of Pink Floyd. He keeps repackaging his "former glory" and reselling it.
@w1k1n9 if he really was so greedy, he'd re-form pink floyd and constantly do "greatest hits" tours which would make billions. As for the ego, i see your point, but the reason he changed the story of "the wall" and made it about anyone affected by war kinda shows even he gets sick of singing about himself. He did a DSOTM tour and this wall tour yes, but why shouldn't he celebrate those great albums anniversaries? i'd be damm proud if i'd had any part in the making of them!!
Well the show is very well done and expensive to put on, that's a non-issue. The real problem is that he doesn't quite get the root of the issue, like most people don't. The problem is not uneven taxes, the problem is that the government borrows the money in circulation from the private federal reserve, and then needs to collect taxes to pay it back with interest. Government can issue its own currency debt free for the good of all equally, which would also keep taxes low for all.
The hypocrisy of this man is incredible!! he is charging 400 bucks a pop for tickets to see the Wall. Yes, it's the same old songs repackaged again - but he still wants to gouge for 400 more dollars. Who can afford that, Roger? You are playing your protest songs to the fabulously wealthy, you clown! Money? It's a crime. And you are a criminally greedy musician. Stop lecturing the world and do a free concert or something, you jerk. Move back to England and leave America alone.
Thanks to liberal policy the world economy is crashing. We must do two things to stop the meltdown NOW!!! Firstly, we need to raise all payroll taxes 10% for one year. We also need to stop (right now) wasteful handout programs like medicare, social security, unemployment,, etc. and lower the minimum wage to $2/hr so we can compete with China. I will work with Cantor, Boehner,Paul Ryan and my other republican colleagues and take immediate action on these proposals. God bless the GOP!
@AllrightVidsify What the fuck are you rambling on about you fucking idiot? your not making any sense man, come back when you come down, until then dont waste my time you paranoid c*nt
@AllrightVidsify: You are a fool and that a f-ucking Englishman has a better grasp of the reality of the "Great Wall Street" swindle that led to the economic disaster that has prevailed since '08 is proof of the fact!
@mikenobeardthepirate Yeah $100 & more ! I paid WITH PLESURE for it ! SHOW WAS AN EVENT OF THE CENTURY ! Today's $100 has a different value, WAY FAR DIFFERENT !! And I hope that even though it is still madein USA....
@mikenobeardthepirate I'm not sure you know what that actually means. Ignoring the fact that a concert ticket is a frivolous luxury item to begin with, you have to recoup the tremendous cost of such a huge show.
I paid $35 for second row in 2000. The show has evolved. Deal with it.
Dude has to play a little of his own music at the beginning of his clip just so people will remember who the hell he is...pathetic Rog! you just lost a fan who was able to pay for your worn out yesteryear pablum
Write a check Rog! dont complain about a system that made a millionaire out of you. You were the in asshole in Floyd and you're an asshole now! I slept in my car on PinkFloyd tour back in 82 so what?
You're filthy rich hypocrite. sit down and shut up
Some of the most liberal and democrat ran cities in the nation {Oakland, Denver, Portland and Salt lake City} are coming down hard on the Occupy squaters. Portland even has a homosexual mayor! I guess they are showing their true colors on how they REALLY feel about freedom of speech and assembly. And these are the people you all elect and look to as as your "voice". HAHAHA! WAKE UP SUCKERS! They are USING you. When you no longer serve their purposes, they kick you to the curb like garbage.
Why do people think that any person with lots of money who cares about the rest of us is a hypocrite? Get a clue...the game is rigged and owned by even LESS than 1%. Be glad that righteous people with money give a shit about economic justice. We need all the friends we can get!
Roger, if you are happy to pay more taxes like you say at :50 nobody is stopping you, or are you like Warren Buffet employing the best accountants to take every advantage that you can? Hypocrite!
Google: Warren Buffett's Company Hasn't Paid All Taxes Owed In Years, Media Mum
Don't look now, but it appears like the "Occupy" movement is about to be shown the jack boot of our police state. Interesting how the crack-downs are coming from DEMOCRAT CONTROLLED CITIES! Betrayed again. But not to worry, you will all make excuses for them, blame someone else, as usual. Your own "educated, progrssive leaders" are throwing you under the bus, and your too stupid to see it.
@papawx3 You sound like your typical Bush voter who switched over to the Tea Party/ Ron Paul after Bush fucked it all up. Your posts are loud. Your sound angry. You use profanity and are rude when debating. You really need to grow up. How old are you? It's amazing people like yourself act the way they do and expect to be taken seriously. I don't hate Americans. i am one. I dislike rude assholes which is what a lot of Americans are. Progressive educated Americans I tend to like.
The seeds of the housing market collapse were sown by the Clinton administration when Janet Reno threatened banks with legal actions if they didn't make loans in neighborhoods where people who never had the ability to repay the loans were given them. Roger is probably part of the 1% richest, maybe he should give it all to George Soros for re-distribution....
I feel vindicated by the 'Occupy' movement and I'm amazed that it finally came. Although I was born and raised in this country, I never felt comfortable here. Capitalism is not my favorite philosophy and this country seemed destined to repeal every regulation meant to protect us against rabid capitalism ... it doesn't anymore. I had no idea so many people feel the same way I do. Now it feels like 'The Tide is Turning', Roger Waters is quite perceptive 'OCCUPY' rules!
ROG! FOR PRESIDENT let him run against Obama! hed kick obamas but, who cares if ROG! isn't a naturalized citizen of the United States that sort of thing doesn't matter anymore, right?
Occupy Wall Street is not about socialism. It's about fairness. And if you don't like Roger Waters music and didn't listen to it at least hundreds of times until it becomes ingrained in your brain because it's fucking great, I'm sure it would be because you have a 'Wall' built up against anything smacking of compassion for your fellow man, the earth and all its land and water species. Just another selfish conservative. Unless you are in the rarefied 1%, the occupy folks are fighting for you
@bsonder compassion? Were those people who were shot to death by occupy oakland and occupy atlanta shown compassion? OR treated fairly? Give me a break. occupy is a silly attempt to overthrow capitalism in favor of socialism.
WHEN BILLIONAIR GEORGE SOROS AND ROG! HERE DONATED A HUGE SUM OF MONEY TO OCCUPY, WHY WAS IT KEPT BY LESS THAN 1% OF THE OCCUTARDS AND NOT EQUALLY REDISTRIBUTED TO THE OTHER 99% OF THE OCCUTARDS? AND WHY IS THAT MONEY KEPT IN A BANK?
@markstarr66 A touch simplistic you seem. Soros has been putting his money where his mouth is for decades. You may want to do some research. He put computers in Russian schools back in the 90's. That's compassion. Roger also does charity work. In regards to the simplistic point of hypocrisy which right wingers always bring up. A smart advisary uses all tools at their disposal. It was Al Gore who crafted the legislation for the internet yet the right wing uses the internet. Are you a hypocrite?
@bsonder Whenever you hear the word "fairness", WATCH OUT. That IS a socialist catchphrase. The more I talk to people involved in this movement, the more I am convinced it is about socialism. Dress it up, change this or that, it is still what it is.
@MrMammynun Maybe those who complain about Roger now should of payed attention to the lyrics you paid for back then. He has always had these views. It is you who grew into a conservative with narrow minded views. you may want to read up on Gilmour as he shares Roger's views to a T.
Dude has to play a little of his own music at the beginning of his clip just so people will remember who the hell he is...pathetic Rog! you just lost a fan who was able to pay for your worn out yesteryear pablum.
@markstarr66 If you forgot who he is you obviously haven't bought any of his music for a while. Maybe you should of listened to the words back then before you gave up your cash.
@liamocean1 why do you assume i didn't know of what he sang. The truth is occupy is about socialism over capitalism. tyranny over freedom. look at how europe has to depend on GERMANY for Christs sakes to bail them out? oh the irony...please, occupy is lil more than a distraction from Obama...
Write a check Rog! dont complain about a system that made a millionaire out of you. You were the in asshole in Floyd and you're an asshole now! I slept in my car on PinkFloyd tour back in 82 so what?
You're filthy rich hypocrite. sit down and shut up
I wish people, like Roger, would do what they do because that's what they do best...not for the money, but for the people, for our planet, and for the love. Roger Waters should do an Occupy Tour for free if he really believes in our Cause, and show that even the rich (he ain't poor) can humble themselves for the right reasons and make sacrifices in fame and fortune for those of us with neither.
Hey Roger, instead of paying more taxes, could you help get us Occupiers off the streets and into a warehouse, office building, or something, so we don't have to freeze our arses off this winter trying to occupy city parks? It would be nice to hold our General Assemblies indoors, at least, and wouldn't hurt your treasury too badly...but thanks for being rich enough to be willing to pay more in taxes: wish there were more like you walking in on Washington right now.
Guess what Roger, or anyone else who says "I would be happy to pay more taxes," you can pay more! Feel free to stop by or send them a check.
Just so you don't have to look it up their address is below.
IRS Headquarters:
10th St & Pennsylvania Ave, NW
Washington, DC 20004
Additional taxes, in any amount, on the rich isn't going to alleviate the burden on the middle class or help provide more for the poor. It is just going to give more to the government to frivolously spend.
That is just a small component of what he said. He was discussing the corruption of Wall Street and how they were allowed to swindle the entire country and walk off without any really punishment.
The taxation scheme of the US is just a symptom of the larger problem that is political will being sold to the highest bidder.
@reatcory Well said....Roger, if you want to make a difference, contribute directly to the Occupy Movement (we like coffee, cigarettes, dry ground, warm tents, generators, and MUSIC...surprise us and come play for us in Portland!!!)...paying more taxes just supports the 1% who have the largest influence on how that money gets used and does us, the 99%, little good...though they might fill a pothole for the extra million, the rest going to the military complex.
Another thing: You made the point earlier about states rights. Let em tell you what happens on the state level. The states pass onto the local homeowner something called property tax which pays for education instead of federal dollars. Mine is $2000 a year on a $200,000 home. I would be better off if the federal government payed for education. So how do you see states being better off without the federal gov't? Property tax has gone up since 2000 because Bush withdrew state funding.
Roger Waters is the greatest - he gave a song to our uniquely animated sci-fi rock and roll musical "Strange Frame" - check it out on Kickstarter and if you feel moved as he did, please join us - lend a hand, share with your people; it's a film about love and rebellion set in the future. To find our kickstarter link, find us on facebook: strange frame
At the root of most of all this evil is what I call the "Unholy Trinity". 1. The Federal Reserve 2. It's partner in crime, a Big daddy federal government,3. The Federal income tax, which is a funding mechanism for the first two. Until the Federal Reserve is abolished, the federal government GREATLY shrunk in size, and the federal income tax repealed, EXPECT MORE OF THE SAME. The "Too Big to Fail" banks OWN THIS COUNTRY. They are the primary beneficaries of our current system.
@papawx3 7) I agree about the Federal Reserve. It is essentally a ponzi scheme hence the reason it failed recently. No money coming from the bottom when the housing market collapsed.
8) I believe we need a socialist democracy with well regulated capitalism to go forward.
9) I think America's bloviated ego in regards to it's independence is it's Achille's heel. Too many idiots screaming don't tread on me while they tread all over themselves driving their huge trucks and acting almighty globally.
@liamocean1 You have confirmed my feelings about many of the people involved in this movement. SOCIALISM. Show me a socialist, and I will show you: A. Someone who never left their parents house, B. A homeless person or welfare dependant, C. A university professor {They don't live in the real world anyway}, or D. A billionaire. Which one are you? Capitalism per sae doesn't need regulated, it is the way that all that $ finds it's way into our political system and policy that needs regulated.
@papawx3 Socialism is no more than government beaurocrats deciding whose money to steal, and how to spend it. THAT IS NOT THE ANSWER. They are the worse at being efficent, and to use a word the left loves; FAIR. In a socialist country, you pay in ways you can not even imagine. You pay $5 for a .50 cent item. Whenever the government gets involved in something, the price of said item or service goes to the moon, and their continued subsidy becomes necessary indefinately.
@papawx3 Look at tuition rates since Stafford Loans. Housing since FHA. All things healthcare since Medicaid/Medicare. Those powerchairs are $8k now! Why? Because medicare pays for them. If it were not for that, you could buy one for $1500. You could pay for most services and items OUT OF POCKET. You become a slave in this manner. In a private market system {something the USA hasn't really had for over 50 years now}, competition drives down prices, while gov't involvement drives them up.
@papawx3 Final thought you seem confused on socialism vs. capitalism. America has capitalism which is out of control. Hence the corruption. You have corporate socialism. Not government helping the everyday citizen. Your analogies make little sense in regards to medical costs. Corrupt doctors love Medicaid and lobby for it because they can overcharge the gov't instead of the patient. Once again its about corporate greed and not helping Joe citizen. Capitalism has no conscience. Socialism does.
@liamocean1 Your the one confused. Government can't "help" the everyday citizen, it can only rob from one to give to another. Government involement in the healthcare system IS the problem, not the cure. Government provides a floor for healthcare pricing. What is so hard about that to understand? Socialism has a conscience? HAHAHA! You are COMPLETELY clueless. PEOPLE, NOT SYSTEMS HAVE A CONSCIENCE. YOU ARE A FOOL. If you are looking to government for compassion, you will be VERY dissappointed.
@papawx3 Your use of the term "Obama Care" kind of says a lot about you. You said charity starts at home well why not take care of our elderly and sick and young people? That is true goodness. I would like to see single payer gov't health care as in Europe so sick people weren't worried about going to the doctor for fear of coverage denial or going broke. You seem to want more of the same broken system. Your answer is give corporations free reign! Are you blind to the current crisis?
@liamocean1 So you want the US healthcare system to look ike europe's. HAHAHA! Thats just great. Do you even bother listening to the news? Are you aware of what is happening to european countries with liberal social benefits? THEY ARE FINACIALLY MELTING DOWN. There bonds are going to the moon as I type. proof gov't can't manage much of anyting. the $ ALWAYS gets misallowcated or outright stolen. If you are counting on the gov't to take care of you, you are going to be VERY disappointed.
@papawx3 And yet your unregulated "capitalist" society is falling apart. You want less regulation while the corps are robbing the people blind? The Occupy movement is about stopping greed and reeling in the banks, the MIC, the insurance companies, the power companies, big oil. All the pigs that have been feeding at the tit.
Socialism isn't a bad word except to brainwashed Americans. Top that with I own my own home and restaurant and am a 45 year old Roger Waters fan. So no A,B,C, or D.
@liamocean1 Wrong again. You see, there are regulators on top of regulators. What we have here is NOT a capitalist system. Had it been, the banks and all involved would have all blown up and gone away back in 2008. Instead, the CENTRAL BANK {Federal Reserve} stepped in and along with little Bush and Barry whatever name he is now going by, pressured CONgress to put taxpayers on the hook for all of it. That sounds ALLOT more like socialism to me than capitalism.
@papawx3 It's not a full on capitalism, sure. It's special interest capitalism. No bid contracts, etc
If it were socialism hospital visits, doctor's wages for an example, would not be what they are now, prices and wages would be regulated. It is a competition, and one has to lobby politicians them to get the trade contracts. And unfortunately what is not being regulated is how much is traded. Everything we buy is foriegn made, which leaves us in huge debt to foriegn central banks.
@DecentralizedByGuilt That is price fixing. It fails every time it is tried.Go ahead, tell a Dr. that he/she will incur hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt {due to federal subsidized education and REGULATIONS}, but their wages will be fixed. Guess how many of our bright kids will be going to medical school? The only thing you will get from that is a medical provider shortage, which is allready happening thanks to Medicaid/medicare/Obamacare.
@papawx3 Did I say I favor price limits? NO. You missed the point. The point is that what we have is not socialism. The other point is everything you buy is foriegn made. and now the US is in trillions of dollars in debt to foreign central banks because we do not have balanced trade agreements. Now go sit down.
@DecentralizedByGuilt "Go sit down"? Spoken like a true totalitarian {that you really are}. Yes, PRICING FIXING is EXACTLY what you were talking about, I didn't miss shit. Everything we buy here is foreign made for many reasons, you over simplify the issue. One, is that the unions went WAY too far. Too much of anything is not good. That is why Chrysler went bankrupt TWICE, and GM once. A multitude of others went BK for the same reason. "Free Trade" agrreements were to blame too. Don't sit down.
@papawx3 Price fixing was what I was talking about, it is NOT what I support, you idiot. I was showing you how we dont have it, and that it is key to socialism, demonstrating that you are WRONG we do NOT have socialism, you clown. get it now???
I agree with you on unions, and free trade being a huge problem. In fact I said it fist on here. now go sit down
@DecentralizedByGuilt I would give $1k if you could just tell me to go sit down to my face. You'd think twice Mr.Internet toughguy. Yes, we DO have socialized medicine. Here in the US, we have a multifacited system, with socialized healthcare for roughly half of the nation. Medicaid/Medicare/VA is socialized healthcare, and ask anyone who is on it if they are as happy with it as they would be if they had private insurance. Also ask all the Drs why they are opting out of the programs in record #s
@papawx3 Are you threatening me tough guy? I'll say w/e I want in anyone's face. If you can't take it and 'you have to think/dream about using violence like you're some hard ass wanna B dip shit. You got issues. If we dont have a fixed prices in health care. It's not socialism. You admit that yourself, and than basically argue against your own self. to big a dumb fucking ego to admit your foolish idiot bitch ass mistake. you fucking retarded little bitch. suck on that tough guy! BUH BYE LOSER
@papawx3 hahaha you have a FAKE account, to scared to show your face. You dont even practice what you preach, fuck tard. You are a youtube welfare baby ridding on the back's of te youtube community not even contributing one video! sounds like socialism to me! hahahahaha
@DecentralizedByGuilt Nothing fake about my account. So I have never posted a video, that doesn't make my account fake, it has been active MUCH longer than yours, thats for sure. Fuck you, fuck your movement, fuck roger waters, fuck your commie politics.
@papawx3 This is my forth account, but w/e you say fagboy. You free loading youtube welfare baby. FUCK YOU. As you hide behind your fake ass account, with no pics, no video, no nothing, scared little boy. It's very sad that you fight for corperate slavery, you ignore TOOL. Don't you have a line to go stand in somewhere? Oh that's right, sit the fuck down BOY. I shit bigger than you! fuck off with your corperate dream without caring how deep in debt this county goes in to CHINA. you commie bitch!
@DecentralizedByGuilt I should'nt celebrate defeating you like I have, since it didn't take all that much. Stop debateing adults, stick to children or retards {someone on your level}. You know you have beaten your opponet when all they can do is curse you and repeatedly mumble the same phrases over and over. Go back and tell your handlers you need some fresh material, the old script is all worn out. Better luck next time at those high school debates! Ask your mom for a glass of warm milk.
@papawx3 I accept your defeat. The problem with unregulated capitalism, is that trade is not being regulated. The US imports far more than she exports. This is why we are in a huge debt to foriegn central banks. It also causes inflation of the dollar. Everything you buy is foreign made. Competition is fine. But we have to start producing our own daily needs, which will create jobs, and not leave the US in such huge debts to foriegn banks. do you understand that????
@DecentralizedByGuilt Now you are talking about something ENTIRELY differant. Fair trade, instead of free trade. Ever heard of tariffs? That is what primarily funded our country for it's first 150 years, until the creation of the federal income tax {which is unconstitutional} and the adoption of free trade policies. yes, our country has been stripped naked of it's industrial capacity. If you refer to my very 1st post here, you will see that is what I was originally ranting about.
@papawx3 tes balanced trade is what i have been saying. which means more government regulations. I'm also in favor of high tariffs, because no import should ever cost less than home grown, for every country. Income taxes are constitutional, because of the 16th amendment. Further more no taxes, or tax cuts, sucks up wealth from the lower class, and puts into the top richest 1% class.
@DecentralizedByGuilt You don't need any more gov't regulation to impose tariffs, just calculate whatever imported product would cost to be made in the USA, and tariif the differance PLUS 20%. How fast do you think those lost jobs would return? The $ collected from the tariffs would be paid into various funds to be used as "seed $" to be loaned out at low interest to local businesses who want to retool and start new companies BASED HERE to compete against the imports. Unemployment would be over.
@papawx3 You're wrong. It was fully ratified. And the supreme court ruled income is defined the same as speach. Meaning any income is subject to taxation. A state's supreme court may have ruled other wise in various individual cases, but they dont actually have fedural say and are below the fedural supreme court. Please do enlighten yourself on this matter, and stop spreading known disinformation. You do no one any serves when doing so, especially yourself. NEXT
@papawx3 My point is you are blaming the victim. Greed is always the root cause and unfortunately it's rampant in our unregulated capitalist system. We do need a new social contract with the American people. Republicans drove the bus for a good long time and you fucked it up so please don't keep regurgitating RW talking points. Ron Paul is just another Republican with crazy ideas. Responsible gov't requires educated progressive people in charge so we can advance into the future properly.
@liamocean1 Ron paul is FAR from being just another republican. Your ignorance speaks volumes here. Crazy ideas? Returning to the Constitution is a crazy idea? Your brainwashing is sad, really. Educated, progressive people in charge? HAHAHA! How about THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN CHARGE, ASSHOLE? We don't need any "enlightened", over-educated, out of touch, freaks anymore! Had too much of that shit allready. Time to give the power back to the PEOPLE, AND LET THEM DECIDE. You don't trust americans.
@papawx3 If the premise that government is the main problem and that unfettered natural markets are the solution then would the GOP please explain why countries like Somalia that have no regulation and are governed by local religiously pious elders are excruciatingly poor and countries that have massive regulation, like Switzerland and Germany, are among the richest countries in the world?
Smart regulation begets prosperity. Sometimes there are outdated or poorly considered regulations.
@liamocean1 Why are the Swiss & Germans rich? Gee...thats a hard one...NOT! The swiss have'nt fought a war in almost 200 years, and the germans have'nt had to REALLY provide for their national defense since 1945 {Japan too}. Look at all that $ they have saved, and have been able to funnel into their domestic economy. The USA and the UK occupied Germany {we had bases in Japan} and propped them up even at the sake of sacrificing our own industries. Ever hear of the Marshal Plan? Think hard now....
@papawx3 Regardless of the U.S, military occupying Japan and Germany both countries have invested wisely in themselves and in new technology. They embrace creativity and unity when it comes to getting things done. That's why they succeed so well. They invest in people. The U.S. has the opposite philosophy. Individualism is promoted which leads to self preservation at the cost of others. Hence the top 1% having 40% of the wealth. Ron Paul's ideas would give complete power to corps and break us.
@liamocean1 The more you speak, the more your marxist philosophy comes out. No other country on earth has invested more $ in thier people than the USA. And look at all the $ the US sends abroad.Individualism does NOT do what you claim at all, what it says, is that people are unique individuals, and not just "group members" or one of a herd, as socialism defines people. No, Dr.Paul would NOT give any power to Corps, instead HE WOULD LET THEM FAIL, LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE UNDER A FREE MARKET ECONOMY
@papawx3 You say "No country on Earth has invested more in their people than the U.S.A.? You have got to be joking. The only investment they make in their young is when they become cannon fodder and join the military. My property tax pays for schools. The dollars that go abroad for charity are fine but often times they come with religion attached. Not pure benevolence but it will have to do. And do yourself a favor drop the Marxist stuff it makes you sound silly. Try to be a bit more serious.
@liamocean1 Your property tax pays for a portion of state education, federal dollars{that have been stolen from taxpayers} makes up some too. You don't have to join the military to go to school, the gov't will give you all the loans and grants you need. Yes, the gov't is VERY generous{with taxpayers $} to it's people. Especially if you are under one of Affirmitive Action's protected classes.
@papawx3 Ah so your one of those racist teabagger/ Ron Paul supporters. Once again we see the real motivation of right wingers! And don't kid yourself about grants and loans. That has to be paid back with interest or if a students parents make 50 grand or more a year combined a student will not qualify. So where is your investment in people again? Oh right from the individual who pays out the ass. Not from the U.S. govt.
@liamocean1 Grants do not have to be paid back, and loans are forgiven in certain circumstances. There are gov't criteria for it, but you can get your loans paid for by the taxpayer. What is racist about bringing up Affirmitive Action? Am I lying when I say there is such a government program? And that program's aim is to specifically disinfrancise a certain race and sex? If a private business tried doing that, they would be tried in federal court. But yet it is ok for the gov't to do it?
@liamocean1 When banks and Corps realize that if they deviate from sound business practices, and engage in wholesale criminal looting {with the complete blessing of the Clinton, Bush & Obama gov'ts, AND the Federal Reserve} they won't be bailed out, and suffer criminal prosecution, you won't see what we have now. All you know about Dr.Paul is what your marxist handlers have told you, and 99.9% of it is pure lies.
@papawx3 You may want to google SEC chairman Christopher Cox appointed by Bush before blaming Clinton and Obama with criminal negligence in regards to SEC prosecutions. Cox sought to have all cases reviewed by himself before pursuing them. Thereby no cases were pursued and Bernie Madoff was allowed to happen as well as the rest of the Wall Street crimes. Teabaggers always blame Dems when the real criminals were sim[ply Bush and company who teabaggers most likely voted for. Now you want Paul? Ha!
@liamocean1 I'm not excuseing Bush, in fact, I despise the SOB. I'm saying you are a blind fool for not wanting to see others guilt, just because they happen to be dems. Clinton repealled Glass-Stegall which made all of the plundering an option. Once it was done, he and his partners in crime: Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Charles Rangel and others went to Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac to create the monster. Then private mortage copanies were pressured to write them. It continued under Bush, uninterrupted
@papawx3 Once again you hit all your Faux News talking points from 2009. Blame the dems. Note that you don't list a single Republican even though the collapse of the economy was due to more than the sub prime mortgage crisis. Did you not notice that ever major bank was bailed out when the bubble (ponzi scheme) burst? Faux hammered on Fannie and Freddie as they were the easy targets yet it was Wall Street gaming the system, the U.S. chamber of Commerce and Board of Realtors lobbying congress.
@liamocean1 I don't watch Fox, or any other mainstream media news, they all practice disinformation & proproganda. I didn't mention republican blame, because the mortage crisis was mostly a democrat scam. The republicans made their $ another way:Illegal wars {Iraq & Afganistan}. At least no one got killed in the mortage scams {allright, there were some suicides}. Dr.Paul would have us return to the Constitution, which would have made both scams {War & mortage hustle} impossible.
@papawx3 Faux always leaves that part out as they are purely a Republican political propaganda tool. Bank of America, Wells fargo, Wachovia. Those were Bush's golf buddies. Google Jimmy Blanchard and see how he bankrupted Wachovia and Synovus. Check out how he was Bush's good friend. Faux hammers the sub prime aspect because they want to shift blame from the real culprits and you are stupid enough to swallow that B.S. Todd and Frank my ass. The sub prime crisis was only 5% of the total collapse.
@liamocean1 Sub prime was a small fraction of the scam. Liar loans, Alt-A, jumbos, Interest only, you name it, they all did one thing: DROVE UP THE PRICE OF REAL ESTATE. This caused the speculators to pile on. There used to be a TV series:"Flip That House". The money wasn't in holding the loans to maturity, the money was made in origination fees, and selling the loan {QUICK, before it blows up}, and then bundling them into tranches to be sold to private and instituitional investors.
And understand this: Our parents have a profound influence on us. Do a little research on Roger Waters. You will find his father was a member of the Communist Party. Coincidence? I think not. Birds of a feather, flock together.
@papawx3 Finally your last 3 comments were something that actually made sense. Your problem is you still believe corporations are gonna bring us a better playing field. They won't. That's why there is corruption in the first place. Greed. Corporate greed is at the core of all our problems. Be they war, education, health care, oil and pollution, corrupt media or bought congress people and supreme court. Corps have to be regulated in order to have a level playing field.
@papawx3 It' pie in the sky to say that if we get rid of gov't all our problems would go away. It's actually quit silly considering the state of things in the world. The irony is the one's who are pushing that line are the same one's who initially voted for Bush. They only jumped ship to the tea party and Ron Paul after they voted to fuck it all up. And you think we should all just trust em now? That car is already in the ditch.
@liamocean1 i am not mad at people who voted for Bush THE FIRST TIME. I did. But becuase I live in Florida, I saw what was being done in real time during the election of 2000. I knew within the first two hours that something crooked was doing done, and sure enough, the election was rigged. People were lied too. However, if you voted for Bush the 2nd time, you have no excuse. You knew what you were voting for: A liar, and allot of other things too. Many dems are feeling the same way now; lied to.
@papawx3 I was right you did vote for Bush who fucked it all up. You presume to know what was in Roger's dads head when Roger himself never had a chance to know him? According to your philosophy if a currently serving U.S. soldier attends meeting on social democracy then they must of signed up to defend socialism. You see how whacked you seem. It's presumption on your part. There is no level playing field in your mind because well to put it mildly. You and your assumptions are fucked.
@liamocean1 As far as my father goes once again you presume so much. My dad could be a fucking serial killer for all you know. Just because someone brings you into this world doesn't make them good. Jails the world over are filled with bad dads. Get real. Plenty of young people sacrifice for themselves to do well and many end up owning their own homes and business. It's called life. Get a clue. People don't all fit into the mold you've made for them in your mind.
@liamocean1 Your poor dad deserves better than you. Yeah, I voted for Bush, and you voted for Obama, WHATS THE PHUKING DIFFERANCE? They are both owned by the same crooks. I love your camouflage of words:"Social Democracy".HAHAHA! Another commie code word. You can put lipstick, pearls and perfume on a pig, but it is still a pig. What I despise most about you "progressives" is your dishonesty. PHONEY MFers all. Not only liars, But the worse kind of thieves. All done in the name of the people.
Sometimes the influence our parents have on us drives us in the opposite direction. Hence we have Ron Reagan and Ronald Reagan. My own father is a right wing nutcase who watches Faux News and I'm a hardcore progressive. Roger's politics are obviously somewhat different than his fathers. His father was initially a pacifist who then chose to fight at Anzio and die there. Listen to "When the Tigers broke free". Prior to WW2 one third of the U.S. was pro Nazi.
@liamocean1 Roger's father only joined the action at the front AFTER the USSR had been attacked. Speaks volumes about where his aliegences really were. I NEVER said corps are going to bring us a level playing field. THERE IS NO LEVEL PLAYING FIELD. Why should there be? Someone has $10 mill to risk by starting a business, and you have ZERO to risk, but you want a LEVEL playing field? HELL NO! Workers should be protected against abuse, danger and coercion, but thats it. No federal minimum wage law
@papawx3 Ironically those pro Nazi mainly Republican Americans had a platform similar to Ron Paul's. Isolationism, leave corporations alone, against the New Deal and Roosevelt, less taxation. If not for Roosevelt's policies and 28 million dead Russians you might well be speaking German right now. Sieg Heil! It's not fair to generalize about Roger's father and himself when his father actually died fighting a war that preserved "your" freedom to post inane bollocks.
@liamocean1 Roosevelt and the russians saved us in WW2? HAHAHA! More like the other way around. We saved the russians. Before lend-lease the Red Army didn't have any trucks to transport their troops the great distances necessary to be effective. Dodge Trucks deserves credit for deciding several decisive battles. Before, they would have had to march on foot, they would have arrived too late. Most importantly, we fed them when the rest of the USSR was cut off from their breadbasket; The Ukraine.
@papawx3 What I wrote was accurate. Roosevelt initiated Lend Lease. Republicans were against it. Democrats voted 238 to 25 in favor and Republicans 24 in favor and 135 against. If Roosevelt hadn't got the Soviets those trucks and planes you would probably be speaking German. A third of the U.S. was isolationist. You may want to research the German American Bund to further your understanding on the subject. I never said Ron Paul or the U.S. founders were Nazi's. You projected that yourself.
@liamocean1 The idea that if it were'nt for lend-lease we here in America would be speaking german is like your other positions; stupid. All it would have done is prolonged the war, with the end result being a SEVERLY weakened USSR {whats wrong with that?}, a free eastern europe, Germany mostly intact of it's territories & split up only between the UK, USA & France. The outcome would have been MUCH better for us & especially europe. There would have been no cold war to fund for the next 50 yrs.
@papawx3 Your an idiot. if Germany took Russia and Europe. Japan would have been reinforced and taken the Pacific and the Orient. Italy would have taken Africa. The Mid East oil fields which were controled by the Uk would have fallen into German hands. The American economy would have had no fucking oil you idiot! The world as we know it would be completely run by the Axis countries. Explain how the US would win that "prolonged" war as you say.

Supports Obama in spite of continuing the perpetual wars and an anti-war republican running.
b2112echoes 1 month ago
He doesn't understand central banking, or the moral hazard of keeping interest rates at 1 or 0%.Or the moral hazard of how government backed loans create malinvestment. How massive foreign financed debt is robbing the middle class through inflation. The notion that there is one pie with a fixed size that we all must share and the 1% (himself included) rob the rest is a total economic fallacy. I wont criticize him for the ticket prices, he is providing a good, or service that people want or desire
b2112echoes 1 month ago

Want to know WHO Waters talks about? Go to: wake-upbeforeitstoolate(dot)com and see just how far the Mass Deception goes!
einrib4truth 1 month ago
@einrib4truth Please. You think Roger Waters has nothing to do with his ticket prices? He could absolutely charge less for his show if he wanted to. I paid $20 to see Steven Wilson (from Porcupine Tree) play at the Best Buy Theater near Times Square in New York City and he had every bit as much talent on that stage as Waters will have on his. Sure, he can charge a little more for the props and all but 1000%? No thanks. I'll keep supporting artists like Steven Wilson who are still creative.

He keeps repackaging his "former glory" and reselling it.
w1k1n9 3 months ago
@w1k1n9 if he really was so greedy, he'd re-form pink floyd and constantly do "greatest hits" tours which would make billions. As for the ego, i see your point, but the reason he changed the story of "the wall" and made it about anyone affected by war kinda shows even he gets sick of singing about himself. He did a DSOTM tour and this wall tour yes, but why shouldn't he celebrate those great albums anniversaries? i'd be damm proud if i'd had any part in the making of them!!
jonnnyharsh 3 months ago
Well the show is very well done and expensive to put on, that's a non-issue. The real problem is that he doesn't quite get the root of the issue, like most people don't. The problem is not uneven taxes, the problem is that the government borrows the money in circulation from the private federal reserve, and then needs to collect taxes to pay it back with interest. Government can issue its own currency debt free for the good of all equally, which would also keep taxes low for all.

Unless you are in the rarefied 1%, the occupy folks are fighting for you
bsonder 3 months ago
WHY? CAUSE THEY'RE ALL HYPOCRITES.
markstarr66 3 months ago
@markstarr66 A touch simplistic you seem. Soros has been putting his money where his mouth is for decades. You may want to do some research. He put computers in Russian schools back in the 90's. That's compassion. Roger also does charity work. In regards to the simplistic point of hypocrisy which right wingers always bring up. A smart advisary uses all tools at their disposal. It was Al Gore who crafted the legislation for the internet yet the right wing uses the internet. Are you a hypocrite?
liamocean1 3 months ago
@bsonder Whenever you hear the word "fairness", WATCH OUT. That IS a socialist catchphrase. The more I talk to people involved in this movement, the more I am convinced it is about socialism. Dress it up, change this or that, it is still what it is.

Just so you don't have to look it up their address is below.
IRS Headquarters:
10th St & Pennsylvania Ave, NW
Washington, DC 20004
Additional taxes, in any amount, on the rich isn't going to alleviate the burden on the middle class or help provide more for the poor. It is just going to give more to the government to frivolously spend.
reatcory 3 months ago
@reatcory You very obviously don't get it.
That is just a small component of what he said. He was discussing the corruption of Wall Street and how they were allowed to swindle the entire country and walk off without any really punishment.
The taxation scheme of the US is just a symptom of the larger problem that is political will being sold to the highest bidder.
plasterdbastard 3 months ago

They are the primary beneficaries of our current system.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 7) I agree about the Federal Reserve. It is essentally a ponzi scheme hence the reason it failed recently. No money coming from the bottom when the housing market collapsed.
8) I believe we need a socialist democracy with well regulated capitalism to go forward.
9) I think America's bloviated ego in regards to it's independence is it's Achille's heel. Too many idiots screaming don't tread on me while they tread all over themselves driving their huge trucks and acting almighty globally.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 You have confirmed my feelings about many of the people involved in this movement. SOCIALISM. Show me a socialist, and I will show you: A. Someone who never left their parents house, B. A homeless person or welfare dependant, C. A university professor {They don't live in the real world anyway}, or D. A billionaire. Which one are you? Capitalism per sae doesn't need regulated, it is the way that all that $ finds it's way into our political system and policy that needs regulated.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Socialism is no more than government beaurocrats deciding whose money to steal, and how to spend it. THAT IS NOT THE ANSWER. They are the worse at being efficent, and to use a word the left loves; FAIR. In a socialist country, you pay in ways you can not even imagine. You pay $5 for a .50 cent item. Whenever the government gets involved in something, the price of said item or service goes to the moon, and their continued subsidy becomes necessary indefinately.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Look at tuition rates since Stafford Loans. Housing since FHA. All things healthcare since Medicaid/Medicare. Those powerchairs are $8k now! Why? Because medicare pays for them. If it were not for that, you could buy one for $1500. You could pay for most services and items OUT OF POCKET. You become a slave in this manner. In a private market system {something the USA hasn't really had for over 50 years now}, competition drives down prices, while gov't involvement drives them up.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Final thought you seem confused on socialism vs. capitalism. America has capitalism which is out of control. Hence the corruption. You have corporate socialism. Not government helping the everyday citizen. Your analogies make little sense in regards to medical costs. Corrupt doctors love Medicaid and lobby for it because they can overcharge the gov't instead of the patient. Once again its about corporate greed and not helping Joe citizen. Capitalism has no conscience. Socialism does.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 Your the one confused. Government can't "help" the everyday citizen, it can only rob from one to give to another. Government involement in the healthcare system IS the problem, not the cure. Government provides a floor for healthcare pricing. What is so hard about that to understand? Socialism has a conscience? HAHAHA! You are COMPLETELY clueless. PEOPLE, NOT SYSTEMS HAVE A CONSCIENCE. YOU ARE A FOOL. If you are looking to government for compassion, you will be VERY dissappointed.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Your use of the term "Obama Care" kind of says a lot about you. You said charity starts at home well why not take care of our elderly and sick and young people? That is true goodness. I would like to see single payer gov't health care as in Europe so sick people weren't worried about going to the doctor for fear of coverage denial or going broke. You seem to want more of the same broken system. Your answer is give corporations free reign! Are you blind to the current crisis?
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 So you want the US healthcare system to look ike europe's. HAHAHA! Thats just great. Do you even bother listening to the news? Are you aware of what is happening to european countries with liberal social benefits? THEY ARE FINACIALLY MELTING DOWN. There bonds are going to the moon as I type. proof gov't can't manage much of anyting. the $ ALWAYS gets misallowcated or outright stolen. If you are counting on the gov't to take care of you, you are going to be VERY disappointed.
papawx3 3 months ago

liamocean1 3 months ago
@papawx3 And yet your unregulated "capitalist" society is falling apart. You want less regulation while the corps are robbing the people blind? The Occupy movement is about stopping greed and reeling in the banks, the MIC, the insurance companies, the power companies, big oil. All the pigs that have been feeding at the tit.
Socialism isn't a bad word except to brainwashed Americans. Top that with I own my own home and restaurant and am a 45 year old Roger Waters fan. So no A,B,C, or D.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 Wrong again. You see, there are regulators on top of regulators. What we have here is NOT a capitalist system. Had it been, the banks and all involved would have all blown up and gone away back in 2008. Instead, the CENTRAL BANK {Federal Reserve} stepped in and along with little Bush and Barry whatever name he is now going by, pressured CONgress to put taxpayers on the hook for all of it. That sounds ALLOT more like socialism to me than capitalism.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 It's not a full on capitalism, sure. It's special interest capitalism. No bid contracts, etc
If it were socialism hospital visits, doctor's wages for an example, would not be what they are now, prices and wages would be regulated. It is a competition, and one has to lobby politicians them to get the trade contracts. And unfortunately what is not being regulated is how much is traded. Everything we buy is foriegn made, which leaves us in huge debt to foriegn central banks.
DecentralizedByGuilt 3 months ago
@DecentralizedByGuilt That is price fixing. It fails every time it is tried.Go ahead, tell a Dr. that he/she will incur hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt {due to federal subsidized education and REGULATIONS}, but their wages will be fixed. Guess how many of our bright kids will be going to medical school? The only thing you will get from that is a medical provider shortage, which is allready happening thanks to Medicaid/medicare/Obamacare.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Did I say I favor price limits? NO. You missed the point. The point is that what we have is not socialism. The other point is everything you buy is foriegn made. and now the US is in trillions of dollars in debt to foreign central banks because we do not have balanced trade agreements. Now go sit down.
DecentralizedByGuilt 3 months ago
@DecentralizedByGuilt "Go sit down"? Spoken like a true totalitarian {that you really are}. Yes, PRICING FIXING is EXACTLY what you were talking about, I didn't miss shit. Everything we buy here is foreign made for many reasons, you over simplify the issue. One, is that the unions went WAY too far. Too much of anything is not good. That is why Chrysler went bankrupt TWICE, and GM once. A multitude of others went BK for the same reason. "Free Trade" agrreements were to blame too. Don't sit down.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Price fixing was what I was talking about, it is NOT what I support, you idiot. I was showing you how we dont have it, and that it is key to socialism, demonstrating that you are WRONG we do NOT have socialism, you clown. get it now???
I agree with you on unions, and free trade being a huge problem. In fact I said it fist on here. now go sit down
DecentralizedByGuilt 3 months ago
@DecentralizedByGuilt I would give $1k if you could just tell me to go sit down to my face. You'd think twice Mr.Internet toughguy. Yes, we DO have socialized medicine. Here in the US, we have a multifacited system, with socialized healthcare for roughly half of the nation. Medicaid/Medicare/VA is socialized healthcare, and ask anyone who is on it if they are as happy with it as they would be if they had private insurance. Also ask all the Drs why they are opting out of the programs in record #s

papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 I accept your defeat. The problem with unregulated capitalism, is that trade is not being regulated. The US imports far more than she exports. This is why we are in a huge debt to foriegn central banks. It also causes inflation of the dollar. Everything you buy is foreign made. Competition is fine. But we have to start producing our own daily needs, which will create jobs, and not leave the US in such huge debts to foriegn banks. do you understand that????
DecentralizedByGuilt 3 months ago
@DecentralizedByGuilt Now you are talking about something ENTIRELY differant. Fair trade, instead of free trade. Ever heard of tariffs? That is what primarily funded our country for it's first 150 years, until the creation of the federal income tax {which is unconstitutional} and the adoption of free trade policies. yes, our country has been stripped naked of it's industrial capacity. If you refer to my very 1st post here, you will see that is what I was originally ranting about.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 tes balanced trade is what i have been saying. which means more government regulations. I'm also in favor of high tariffs, because no import should ever cost less than home grown, for every country. Income taxes are constitutional, because of the 16th amendment. Further more no taxes, or tax cuts, sucks up wealth from the lower class, and puts into the top richest 1% class.
DecentralizedByGuilt 3 months ago
@DecentralizedByGuilt You don't need any more gov't regulation to impose tariffs, just calculate whatever imported product would cost to be made in the USA, and tariif the differance PLUS 20%. How fast do you think those lost jobs would return? The $ collected from the tariffs would be paid into various funds to be used as "seed $" to be loaned out at low interest to local businesses who want to retool and start new companies BASED HERE to compete against the imports. Unemployment would be over.
papawx3 3 months ago
@DecentralizedByGuilt Enlighten yourself on the 16th Ammendment. IT NEVER authorized any new tax. Two Supreme court rulings even said so.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 You're wrong. It was fully ratified. And the supreme court ruled income is defined the same as speach. Meaning any income is subject to taxation. A state's supreme court may have ruled other wise in various individual cases, but they dont actually have fedural say and are below the fedural supreme court. Please do enlighten yourself on this matter, and stop spreading known disinformation. You do no one any serves when doing so, especially yourself. NEXT
DecentralizedByGuilt 3 months ago
@papawx3 My point is you are blaming the victim. Greed is always the root cause and unfortunately it's rampant in our unregulated capitalist system. We do need a new social contract with the American people. Republicans drove the bus for a good long time and you fucked it up so please don't keep regurgitating RW talking points. Ron Paul is just another Republican with crazy ideas. Responsible gov't requires educated progressive people in charge so we can advance into the future properly.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 Ron paul is FAR from being just another republican. Your ignorance speaks volumes here. Crazy ideas? Returning to the Constitution is a crazy idea? Your brainwashing is sad, really. Educated, progressive people in charge? HAHAHA! How about THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN CHARGE, ASSHOLE? We don't need any "enlightened", over-educated, out of touch, freaks anymore! Had too much of that shit allready. Time to give the power back to the PEOPLE, AND LET THEM DECIDE. You don't trust americans.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 If the premise that government is the main problem and that unfettered natural markets are the solution then would the GOP please explain why countries like Somalia that have no regulation and are governed by local religiously pious elders are excruciatingly poor and countries that have massive regulation, like Switzerland and Germany, are among the richest countries in the world?
Smart regulation begets prosperity. Sometimes there are outdated or poorly considered regulations.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 Why are the Swiss & Germans rich? Gee...thats a hard one...NOT! The swiss have'nt fought a war in almost 200 years, and the germans have'nt had to REALLY provide for their national defense since 1945 {Japan too}. Look at all that $ they have saved, and have been able to funnel into their domestic economy. The USA and the UK occupied Germany {we had bases in Japan} and propped them up even at the sake of sacrificing our own industries. Ever hear of the Marshal Plan? Think hard now....
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Regardless of the U.S, military occupying Japan and Germany both countries have invested wisely in themselves and in new technology. They embrace creativity and unity when it comes to getting things done. That's why they succeed so well. They invest in people. The U.S. has the opposite philosophy. Individualism is promoted which leads to self preservation at the cost of others. Hence the top 1% having 40% of the wealth. Ron Paul's ideas would give complete power to corps and break us.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 The more you speak, the more your marxist philosophy comes out. No other country on earth has invested more $ in thier people than the USA. And look at all the $ the US sends abroad.Individualism does NOT do what you claim at all, what it says, is that people are unique individuals, and not just "group members" or one of a herd, as socialism defines people. No, Dr.Paul would NOT give any power to Corps, instead HE WOULD LET THEM FAIL, LIKE THEY SHOULD HAVE UNDER A FREE MARKET ECONOMY
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 You say "No country on Earth has invested more in their people than the U.S.A.? You have got to be joking. The only investment they make in their young is when they become cannon fodder and join the military. My property tax pays for schools. The dollars that go abroad for charity are fine but often times they come with religion attached. Not pure benevolence but it will have to do. And do yourself a favor drop the Marxist stuff it makes you sound silly. Try to be a bit more serious.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 Your property tax pays for a portion of state education, federal dollars{that have been stolen from taxpayers} makes up some too. You don't have to join the military to go to school, the gov't will give you all the loans and grants you need. Yes, the gov't is VERY generous{with taxpayers $} to it's people. Especially if you are under one of Affirmitive Action's protected classes.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Ah so your one of those racist teabagger/ Ron Paul supporters. Once again we see the real motivation of right wingers! And don't kid yourself about grants and loans. That has to be paid back with interest or if a students parents make 50 grand or more a year combined a student will not qualify. So where is your investment in people again? Oh right from the individual who pays out the ass. Not from the U.S. govt.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 Grants do not have to be paid back, and loans are forgiven in certain circumstances. There are gov't criteria for it, but you can get your loans paid for by the taxpayer. What is racist about bringing up Affirmitive Action? Am I lying when I say there is such a government program? And that program's aim is to specifically disinfrancise a certain race and sex? If a private business tried doing that, they would be tried in federal court. But yet it is ok for the gov't to do it?
papawx3 3 months ago
@liamocean1 When banks and Corps realize that if they deviate from sound business practices, and engage in wholesale criminal looting {with the complete blessing of the Clinton, Bush & Obama gov'ts, AND the Federal Reserve} they won't be bailed out, and suffer criminal prosecution, you won't see what we have now. All you know about Dr.Paul is what your marxist handlers have told you, and 99.9% of it is pure lies.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 You may want to google SEC chairman Christopher Cox appointed by Bush before blaming Clinton and Obama with criminal negligence in regards to SEC prosecutions. Cox sought to have all cases reviewed by himself before pursuing them. Thereby no cases were pursued and Bernie Madoff was allowed to happen as well as the rest of the Wall Street crimes. Teabaggers always blame Dems when the real criminals were sim[ply Bush and company who teabaggers most likely voted for. Now you want Paul? Ha!
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 I'm not excuseing Bush, in fact, I despise the SOB. I'm saying you are a blind fool for not wanting to see others guilt, just because they happen to be dems. Clinton repealled Glass-Stegall which made all of the plundering an option. Once it was done, he and his partners in crime: Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Charles Rangel and others went to Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac to create the monster. Then private mortage copanies were pressured to write them. It continued under Bush, uninterrupted
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Once again you hit all your Faux News talking points from 2009. Blame the dems. Note that you don't list a single Republican even though the collapse of the economy was due to more than the sub prime mortgage crisis. Did you not notice that ever major bank was bailed out when the bubble (ponzi scheme) burst? Faux hammered on Fannie and Freddie as they were the easy targets yet it was Wall Street gaming the system, the U.S. chamber of Commerce and Board of Realtors lobbying congress.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 I don't watch Fox, or any other mainstream media news, they all practice disinformation & proproganda. I didn't mention republican blame, because the mortage crisis was mostly a democrat scam. The republicans made their $ another way:Illegal wars {Iraq & Afganistan}. At least no one got killed in the mortage scams {allright, there were some suicides}. Dr.Paul would have us return to the Constitution, which would have made both scams {War & mortage hustle} impossible.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Faux always leaves that part out as they are purely a Republican political propaganda tool. Bank of America, Wells fargo, Wachovia. Those were Bush's golf buddies. Google Jimmy Blanchard and see how he bankrupted Wachovia and Synovus. Check out how he was Bush's good friend. Faux hammers the sub prime aspect because they want to shift blame from the real culprits and you are stupid enough to swallow that B.S. Todd and Frank my ass. The sub prime crisis was only 5% of the total collapse.
liamocean1 3 months ago
@liamocean1 Sub prime was a small fraction of the scam. Liar loans, Alt-A, jumbos, Interest only, you name it, they all did one thing: DROVE UP THE PRICE OF REAL ESTATE. This caused the speculators to pile on. There used to be a TV series:"Flip That House". The money wasn't in holding the loans to maturity, the money was made in origination fees, and selling the loan {QUICK, before it blows up}, and then bundling them into tranches to be sold to private and instituitional investors.
papawx3 3 months ago
And understand this: Our parents have a profound influence on us. Do a little research on Roger Waters. You will find his father was a member of the Communist Party. Coincidence? I think not. Birds of a feather, flock together.
papawx3 3 months ago
@papawx3 Finally your last 3 comments were something that actually made sense. Your problem is you still believe corporations are gonna bring us a better playing field. They won't. That's why there is corruption in the first place. Greed. Corporate greed is at the core of all our problems. Be they war, education, health care, oil and pollution, corrupt media or bought congress people and supreme court. Corps have to be regulated in order to have a level playing field.
liamocean1 3 months ago
