That smoke coming out of the vavle cover is blow by from the rings being worn which means then engine is higher milage but sometimes thats what you want in a derby car cause they stay cooler cause the metal clearences have a bigger gap and since metal expands when hot it means it will take alot longer for tthe metal to expand enough to start binding parts together

Yes you are very much right in that. This motor did have a LOT of milage on it. Even a stock motor to boot.

This car did not fold cause it was rusty.. it folded cause it is a 72 and you were driving against box cars... but as long as you had fun thats all that matters...
