thing is I really respect japanese voice acting I really do. but in Dragon ball and only on that anime I prefer english voice. Goku on japanese sounds like a little boy/girl even as an adult and just sounds wrong.... and overall I think the voices in english are cooler and sounds a little more massive. Witch in "MY" opinion fits very well since Dragon ball is about sick people with insane power and BOOM!. other then that I prefer japanese voice acting.

Funny that the Jap Goku is actually a woman. How can that possibly be anything better then the English Dub? I mean c'mon, a superhero (main character of maybe the biggest Anime ever in history) voice acted by a woman whom sounds like a little 5 year-old boy screaming in a microphone. Was that supposed to be a fucking joke? They couldn't have meant that seriously when they voice acted Goku. It's just ridiculous. Silly Japanese people.

The only reason people don't like the Japanese dub is because it sounds like someone is shoving a tree up a cat's ass when they scream or shout something. Most people don't understand that good voice acting isn't the same over here as it is over there.

The dbz fun dub is done soo well it puts all other english dubs to shame. They changed the correct amount of things even though its not 100% accurate it makes it sound and phrases better in english not to mention the yelling sounds better to. ppl always say that fun dub goku is not happy and child like he is suppose to be they are 100% wrong

It's the same like watching pokemon or yugioh in jap, it just doesn't work.Both used soundtracks and voices sound like they are getting raped while saying it.

In general jap dubs are good, just for these shows for all ages it seems to fail.

@Sarackosmo Honestly i think it just depends how good the english dub is. Jap VA scream alot in naruto and bleach but it suits them, whilte the english versions suck ass. IF the english voices are done well or you have some attachment to them IE you saw them s a kid they will be better than the jap VA but if the dubs suck jap wins. I cringe every time i hear english ichigo and naruto
