  • Bravo! your videos are exquisite! doing justice to the Wonderful Music!!! Thank you

  • Riffs and tunes reminds me for something very precious....

  • This Oud music is like..... to find something very precious after many years. Actually the year of the album is 1994, the same I've bought it from Unison's shop in Varna........s-o-o... p-r-e-c-i-o-u-s!

  • sagenhaft !!

  • one just has to bow down for a couple of such musicians. thanks for sharing.

  • After so many years let's say 2 decades, I'm still loving especially this excellent piece of music (BAHIA) and many others...

  • it's not guitar, isn't?

  • @MrSzipu: No, it's Oud.

  • @MrSzipu Subsequently, this style of playing took a life of its own. But to this day, the name of this new music style, that is Flamengo, kept honoring that excellent Arabic oud player who lived centuries ago. Fun story, no?

  • @MrSzipuIt is probably one of the ancestors of guitar, though. Noticed the affinities with Flamenco guitar. Well, the story has it that in medieval Spain there was an excellent (Arabic?) oud player whose name was Flamo Menge, or something like that. He had such a huge following among the Spanish musicians of the time that after a while all guitar players in Spain started imitating him, trying to play their guitar the way this Flamo Menge played his oud. (out of space, the rest is beow)
