Klaus has an amazing voice. Of course, you can't compare his voice to Freddie's, but if Queen are going to do another Queen+ project, I wish it would be Queen+Scorpions. By the way, listen to Klaus singing "You Are The Champion".

P.S. As said, you can't compare Klaus to Freddie, but you can compare him to Paul Rodgers. And, in my humble opinion, Klaus is better.

Balony... Paul Rodgers is the best hard rock singer ever... Freddy has a unique voice which makes it difficult for anyone to fill his shoes but if there was anyone who could do it, Paul was that guy. Klaus is great too, don't get me wrong but Klaus doesn't have near the depth Paul does. Klaus is either ballad or fast... he has no in between.

Paul may be one of the greatest hard rock singers but Queen is not just a hard rock band. There is a huge variety of different genres and styles in Queen's music, and the problem with Paul IMHO is that he tries to sing all Queen songs in the same style. This just doesn't work with Queen music. On the other hand, Klaus can sing both ballads and hard rock songs. His voice may not be as powerful as Paul's, but his vocal range is defintely wider. IMHO he'd be a better singer of Queen songs than Paul

Concerning hard rock, btw. It's just an opinion, but I think that Ronnie Dio is a better hard rock singer than Paul. But then again I can't imagine Ronnie singing Queen songs.

What I try to point out is that it is slightly more important that the voice suits the songs than that the voice is good. IMHO Paul's voice doesn't suit most of the Queen songs (the guys even didn't allow him to sing '39 or Love Of My Life). But I think that Klaus at least deserves a chance.

Freddie's voice has much more character and depth. I prefer Freddie's phrasing. He's much more versatile as well.

Go in the youtube search and type 'Rachmaninov's Revenge' and listen to the later version. All vocals were recorded by Freddie as a demo for 'The Fallen Priest'.
