the first screen that shows speed high and all these is it an other programm or its from google maps?also you have to pay for that or its free?(i mean for the program)

It was another program. Navitel navigator. Not free.

BUT this guy is a fool, he is loading maps via a GSM1G/2G/3G signal, its dangerous to do it at 37,000ft, as it causes navigational disturbances, as frequencies may collide, you should NEVER turn on your mobile phone while flying !! Unless the aircraft is modified or optimized at set frequency much higher than a GSM band(higher than 2100Mhz), like Qantas Airways was gonna do in 2009....

Don't be afraid. This experiment has been spent absolutely safely. The interdiction for using the navigator was only at a take off and landing. In the flight rest of the time it was allowed. And maps were loaded before flight via WiFi. Without GSM a network phone does not radiate a signal. :-)

@jetairteam yeah, actually you can use your phone while flying. The only exceptions are while landing and taking off

The trick is to view the area of maps on GM(Google Maps) prior to flying, it stores the maps(then do not clear cache), then all you have to do is turn off your GSM to offline(as you are flying), and GM will search for satellites to pinpoint your location(using latitude and longitude config.), your location is seen and the data for your map have been viewed prior, hence you can see your location, if it makes sense, i did it with my Nokia N82 ! Clever eh ? ;)

How can this be???? if google maps uses internet to download the map. Also I can even can get the gps satellites to lock :(

Yes. But I download maps in advance. I wait about 5 minutes, while satelites to lock.

I have simply viewed those parts of a map which wanted by WiFi. Not always in a window there can be enough satelites.

Did try it, I fly a lot by the way but didn't get any sat. is stuck on "Initializing GPS" and nothing happends. Also can you tell me witch soft. is the first one running plz.... and thx.

Yes. You must remove marks in GPS settings (disable XTRA server and turn off SNTP server)
