We caught some of these little buggers!! got the eggs and quarantined the eggs in a cup. After 2 weeks the eggs hatched. but with no fish to latch on, and they died eventually... but 2 of my gold fishes still got some lice eating them. Im now administering DIMILIN and still waiting if it'll come of.. if the lice came off, i'll be using MELAFIX to heal the wounds.... i hope these work.

I've had this problem with my Silver Arawana back. I quarantined the fish and Drained and Baked the rocks and sand dry under the sun for 5 days. In the quarantine tank with was a 25 gallon tank, i added 2.5 Tbsp of rock salt and 15 drops of mythelene blue. Both the adults and juveniles attached to my arawana fell off dead on the bottom of the tank within 5 hours after i moved the fish into the setup.
i have this shit in my oscar fish,,,, i pull it away with a puller,,, now the problem is i cant get the little one (their babies), its really difficult to get........
and try to remove it with clip just clip the dark head of it it will go away soon u do it u must hear crack sound then it will fell down by it self and die
If i knew all these you have said i might have saved my fishes.. i'll pray for your fishes recovery soon..

umm use a spoon put fish. in small container put fish on its side on spoon with water on spoon and then scrape it off..softly
